The herbalist kept a healthy distance from the queen as the mess of activity transpired, the events so chaotic - and with frankly far too many cats involved - that she didn't feel like getting involved. It was clear that the queen delivering the kits was doing well and strong, and despite her pain, there was precious little the lithe calico could do to assist her there. Any herb that would reduce her discomfort was a potential hazard for her kits, a high risk that the young molly simply didn't deem worth it. True, the mother would suffer a momentary ache as she labored through the birth, but that was nothing compared to the safety of the kits she brought to the world. Expert, almond shaped eyes kept their focus on her patient, knowing full well she was not needed. Truth be told, she was surprised she had been asked to be present here by the queen herself... and even more surprised when the far too loud tom that had overstayed his welcome here had run out of the den to... find her? She had almost asked if he was of the right mind, but decided to take pity on his befuddlement. No doubt the nerves of the kitting were getting to him.
That doesn't forgive a few things. Like how volatile he seemed around the kits. Was this tom even allowed in this den with all these obviously exited kits in here? And why had they not taken the kits outside to allow for the queen to give birth in peace? These cats seemed to have their priorities twisted. Sickened in some way that she did not like. Either that or they were mouse-brains... which could very well be the case. A small twinge of sympathy crossed Lightningstorm's gaze at the thought of the poor queen having to put up with this mess while also giving birth. She did not envy the black and white feline one bit, she could attest to that at the very least.
After a bit of mind numbing screeching from mostly the other cats, the queen's labor finally ended, and the medicine cat padded forward, ignoring the felines not under her care in favor of her patients. A quick survey let her know that the kits were in good health, and her gaze softened. Opening her maw to congratulate the queen, she was beat by the tom, who instantly offered to look out for the newborns while the mother slept. A suggestion that had the molly deadpanning in his direction. After the way he had treated the other kits, she wasn't sure she would trust him around newborns to begin with... not to mention how idiotic the whole suggestion was in the first place. Newborns needed food constantly. They could not be separated from their mother... nor would they try to separate themselves. Now as the time for bonding, and to leave them bloody well alone.
"And I suppose you'll also nurse them as they need to be nursed, won't you? Hate to say it, love, but I feel you've overstayed your welcome here. Let the mother rest, and allow the queens whose job it is to ensure the safety of the kits do their job. You there. The pretty lass with the spots," she called out, a teasing glint in her eyes as they fell on a white queen with brown rosette markings she had seen often in the nursery surrounded by little ones. "This queen here is a bit tired after her kitting. No trouble here, but I'm sure she would appreciate the help if you can give it."
With a pointed look towards the tom, she swayed her tail, pointing towards the den's entrance. A clear indication that the exit was that way, and that while it was stated as a suggestion, it was very much an order. She still wasn't certain if he had merely been overly excitable because of the kitting, but the tom had seemed oddly two-faced during the entire ordeal, and until she had more knowledge on the situation, she preferred to err on the side of caution. Especially as far as newborns were involved. Returning her gaze towards the black and white queen, she offered a smile once more, a small purr of content escaping her. Gently, she offered the single herb she had brought with her, a safe herb she knew would not harm the kits and would actively help the queen regain strength.
"Congratulations, love. They look to be in good health! Here. Eat these and rest for now, I'm sure your fellow queens will be glad to help," Lightningstorm mewed softly, knowing the kits' ears were still closed and incapable of hearing, but not wishing to disturb them regardless. Dipping her head, she made to leave, sending one final look towards the spotted queen before making her way out of the den.

| Apologies for the wait. This roleplay started moving so fast and with cats I had not been informed would be a part of it I decided to wait until it had slowed down some before I had Lightningstorm interject. She has checked up on the kits and seen they were healthy as stated in the healing form, so the kits should be in good health and ready to grow up in WindClan now. |

Cranewhisper-She/Her
————————
Cranewhisper gently nodded to Lightningstorm “Thank you.” She said, before giving the kits a few more licks.
She would take a small nap until Crowbreeze came by at least.
"Sorry i haven't had any kits yet because i don't have a mate,so I know nothing on how to comfort her" Firewhisper said nervously
@Alchemist Kitsune ( Firewhisper is a female she just needs to have a litter of kits first to be an actual queen)

Leopardsong had been minding her own busy, observing as she often did, when the fuss about Cranewhisper began. The she-cat has seen several queens give birth here, and she is yet to understand why the majority of them always went to bug poor Lightingstorm. Unless there was something wrong or complication with the birth, fetching the medicine cat seemed like a bit much. She was sure Lightningstorm had better things to be doing that didn't involve hovering over a she-cat in labor.
But, like the dutiful medicine cat that she was, Lightningstorm arrived and dealt with the chaos as professionally as ever. Leopardsong would never envy the high ranks, but she would always be impressed with their ability to handle the overly dramatic or stupid members of the clan without causing a fuss. Perhaps she should talk to Twilightstar about this.
Leopardsong was pretty certain she was capable of at least watching over a birthing queen, they didn't need to go and get Lightingstorm after every birth. If trouble comes or complications then someone could be sent to go and get Lightingstorm. If the molly wasn't busy, maybe she'd be willing to at least give Leopardsong a quick rundown on what she should be looking for wrong with queens in labor and how to deal with it.
The forever queen had to stare for a moment when Lightningstorm called for her. Did she call her pretty? Not that Leopardsong minded, it was flattering, but she had a name and although it started with L, lass was not it. Uncertain if the younger cat was merely being playful or what, Leopardsong got to her paws and padded over to Cranewhisper with a friendly smile.
"Hello, sweetie, lovely little rascals you have." She meowed, curious about the newest additions to WindClan.
"Firewhisper, if you have no mate, and no kits on the way, what in the world are you doing here? You're just taking up space in the nursery." The forever queen meowed, unhappily. Leopardsong was an exception since Twilightstar had assigned her as a forever queen. Unless the Clan leader had done the same for Firewhisper, which seemed unlike given her lack of patience for kits, she should not be in the nursery at all.

| Snowybreeze | 26 Moons - WindClan Warrior
Heightened Perception [Smell] - Active | Rapid Recovery - Inactive | The Collector - Inactive | Not Skiddin' Around - Active
Twisted. Torn. At a complete loss of what he could possibly do! Snowybreeze's paws stomped nervously on the ground as he debated his choices, neither seeming like a particularly good one. Oh dear. Oh golly. Here he was, trying to be a good friend... and he was... he was... in the way of an adorable little kit trying to go back home! Double eep!
"O-oh. Oh goodness. Oh golly me. I-I am. So. So very. Sorry. Terribly. Rude," the massive tom stammered, clumsily shifting around until he somehow found himself inside the suddenly far too small den, making room for the adventurous kit to enter.
Curious sky blue eyes met the kit's mismatched ones as Snowybreeze realized... he had not seen this face before. Far too young, really, he supposed. Such a tiny kit could only be maybe a moon old at best... perhaps two? Her scent was still heavy of milk, however, making it clear she had either not begun eating prey yet or had only recently begun to do so. Such adventurousness had been seen before by the gentle giant, both Lightningstorm and Firestorm having had quite the mischievous streaks as kits. Neither had been rule breakers necessarily, but they certainly seemed to enjoy toeing the line as closely as they could. With this one being the right age... and her eyes seemingly so similar to both mothers - quite odd, really, he would not have assumed such a striking similarity to the healer - he couldn't help but wonder... could this be one of the kits he'd been attempting to meet before his most foul blunder? Oh dear... if so... what a terrible first impression to make... Why oh why could the ground not just swallow one whole when one needed it to?
"I-it does. Sound. Like quite. The adventure. You had. I am. Quite. Quite sure. Your momma. Will be. Very. Very proud. And happy. To hear. All about. Your brave. Deeds," the Maine Coon mix cooed in a soft voice, half attempting to mollify the no doubt offended kit, half genuinely interested. As a kit, he had spent his life shunned in a corner of the den, best left unseen and unheard as he had been taught at some point of his life. Kits with such zest for life and obvious loving family always made him quietly hum with glee, happy to see no other kits suffer the lonely life he'd had when he had walked the same stage of life.
<•~•>Morningkit<•~•>
[ OPEN ]
A yawn arose from a nest and the small kit opened her eyes, sticky with sleepiness. Morningkit, despite her name, was NOT a morning cat. But eh- She needed to get up eventually to socialize. Maybe she’d make some friends…
The kit walked into the nursery,
surprised to see only some kits
and moms in here, she walked
quietly throughout the nursery
trying not to wake up any moms
or kits.
She found her spot, it was empty.
like always, I mean she liked it that
way, no interruptions, just peace, she
liked peace, it was soothing to hear
all of the birds outside, she just liked
nature fully.
She thought about walking back out
instead of staying inside. So she walked
outside, what she saw was terrifying.
She saw cats dead bodies everywhere,
she saw blood, she saw cats laying on
the ground yowling for help, she ran to
one of the cats, she tried to help but she
couldn't, she hadn't gotten there in time to
save them.
Then, she saw herself, crying on top of a cat.
It was her mother flowerheart, she ran, she
ran into the woods terrified, she saw cats
following her, running so fast, angry cats.
then, she fell into a deep hole.
Frogkit woke up in the nursery. "It was all a dream." she
said in a relieving tone.
Blossomkit waited at the entrance of the nursery for her friend to come.
@SandyFox
Splashkit stumbled to the nurserys' entrance, towards the small white kit with vibrant green eyes that was waiting for him. "What did you wake me up for," he groaned. "I was having an amazing dream!" Although Splash was annoyed, he wasn't truly mad.
