While Slatestripe wasn’t thrilled about accepting a former ShadowClan cat into their ranks, he was much more impressed with Pikestar’s response to the rogue issue. He unsheathed his claws, eager to rip the fur off of any outsider that dared cross his Clan. He hoped that he’d be included on one of the territory patrols, but if not he’d make due in camp.

Littlepaw was struck with horror as she heard the names of a murderous rogue being the one to have killed Sproutkit and Weedkit. Apprentices were now to be accompanied by not one, but two warriors. Kits were to be guarded, and Fawnpaw would be guarded too. A shiver ran down her spine, what would happen if the rogue was caught and brought back into RiverClan? Wouldn't it be best to just kill on sight to keep RiverClan safe? But that was not her decision, it was Pikestar's, and he wanted the rogue to be brought back alive.

Reedwhisker froze as she continued listening to Pikestar's announcements. Sproutkit and Weedkit. Dead. A murderer on the loose. Kits and apprentices are now to be guarded by two warriors at all times. Terror and anger were settling like a thick fog onto RiverClan. Warriors were to be accompanied by a denmate and apprentices were to be accompanied by two warriors. Kits and Fawnpaw were to be guarded at all times. This was certainly a dark time for RiverClan, that was a fact.

Hawkpaw held in a growl, his claws threatened to come out, but he kept them at bay. There was no way he'd take them out and attack a cat. Not now, anyway. At least his plan managed to slip him through RiverClan before the joinings were closed for outsiders. It's working for now. he thought simply. But he was not quite reacting the way his new Clanmates were. Smoothly, the tom dipped his head and shed a fake tear, hoping to convince his clanmates that he wasn't as heartless as he actually was.

"May they rest in peace," the tabby and white tom spoke quietly all while quietly looking at each of his Clanmates to see their reactions to the announcement of Weedkit and Sproutkit's death. W-wait, didn't I bury Sproutkit? Who uncovered him?! Panic flooded through the young tom's body. There was a cat in the crowd that knew his scent. And no way to tell who it was that uncovered the kit...

A shudder passed through his body. Whoever it was could not be killed. Not with so many cats guarding the camp and outside. Not with patrols being sent out to search for him outside of the camp. Not with Fawnpaw and Nightpaw knowing his secret, though Fawnpaw knew more. And she's being protected. I have to get her alone when I can. I have to kill her. And I have to find and kill whoever uncovered Sproutkit's body. Spying on ShadowClan can wait... my safety and secret come first. But a plan rushed itself into his head. Three patrols are going outside the camp. I have my rogue scent still... I can use my blood and lead one patrol away toward the outskirts. My secret will hopefully be safe then. I'll stick a thorn- no, what am I thinking, if they find a bloody thorn, they might connect it to their oh-so-lovely StarClan! Oh, I can unpatch one of my wounds and get some blood from there! But that plan would have to wait until nightfall when he could sneak out of camp and put all his effort into hiding his secret.

Pikestar was the first cat from RiverClan to have met me on the border and is my mentor now. I'll have to disguise my scent before I spread my drops of blood.

His mind yowled at him to disguise his scent now. To hide from RiverClan. But despite this, the tom was rooted to the spot, with no recognizable emotion evident on his face except for understanding and sadness (though he was not sad or understanding). But the thought still lingered in his head: Pikestar wanted the one responsible for the deaths alive. What would Pikestar do with him if he was caught? Torture him just like he tortured Dustclaw? Kill him in front of his Clanmates?

HollowStorm stepped up from his spot near the nursery. ``I volunteer to go on the patrol with Pikestar! he said boldy. Looking back at the nursery, spotting Blossomflight caring for their kits, he knew he must protect their 5 newborn kis. If any of them were harmed, it would be his fault. He stood close to the rock.

This certainly was bothersome. It seemed RiverClan just couldn't catch a break, going from one chaotic situation to another, causing problems left and right. These outsiders had become a real issue. He didn't pay much of any mind to them normally, but now... Well, his recent irritation with them said enough. He really ought to go by Pikestar's den soon to pitch that reinforcement idea to him (and maybe kitty timeout in the nursery too, chucking all the kits and irresponsible warriors inside a hole there).

His main focus was on listening to the meeting for once - head dipping upon the names of the kits who passed on - and specifically noting Pikestar's orders. Nursery guards, camp guards, Fawnpaw guards (that one, in his opinion, should've been instated from the first time she got in trouble), search patrols as well. He swept his gaze across the clan. Whatever happened, even he felt uneasy not doing anything. He'd have to hope he would either be put on one of those patrols or set to guard camp - kittens weren't exactly his forte, bad match. Tail giving a tap, the tom's ear flickered when a warrior spoke up, Ottersomething? When did he come back? He hadn't seen the warrior much, but turns out he existed. Catching the main points of what he said, the shield found himself giving a slight but curt nod in Otterfluff's direction, agreeing with what he had to say (right, that was his name).
Quite frankly the shield could have some things to say other than his silent agreement, but instead prompted to keep his maw shut for now and possibly address Pikestar about it later. Mainly, because commotion descended into chaos, as it always did, and the shield did not want to have to repeat themselves, nor was it the time. He caught some voices here and there speaking up, volunteering to go along already. He wasn't quite sure whether the leader was looking for volunteers or had already decided on who would go, but nothing harmed throwing in his own three.
"So do I."
Is all he said. Gingerfrost didn't bother speaking up much, it was far too tiring and the whole clan didn't need to hear. It was more in his gaze as he looked to the RiverClan leader that he said exactly said, silent but present as he felt the need to not be 'useless'. Where was that coming from? He never bothered to care about much of anything, but situations like these always had him wanting to take part, if anything so he could know at least one part was done right. That's what he told himself, at least.

A large, scarred and black cat moved towards them to help the kit, and after giving a grateful nod to them, Slumberpaw backed away to give them more space. So this was probably Marigoldleap then. Well, hopefully, his clanmates would accept her into the clan after helping the kit. His pale blue gaze searched for Fawnpaw again, expecting her to come and aid the former Shadowclanner, but he tilted his head a little when he found her, frozen a bit away, not having moved since he called for her. He didn't blame the medicine cat, blood was maybe something she wasn't able to mentally deal with at this moment, much had happened this meeting after all.

He had already comforted one cat, and tried to help another, but the long-furred cats now moved towards Fawnpw with a calmness in his gaze as he reached to his long tail to stroke it over her shoulders. It was something he found that helped cats calm down when they were stressed.

Look at me, Fawnpaw. Just look at me, not at that, at me. It's gonna be ok.

Moonfrost felt her hackles bristle slightly at the comment from Fawnleap. Pikestar was a kind, wise, caring cat, and the insinuation that the leader hadn't thought things through irked her. Taking a deep breath, she forced her fur flat and turned her gaze to Fawnleap.

Wolfsong gently rested her tail on her sister's flank as she began to explain.
"Moonfrost is friends with Pikestar, from what she's explained to me I am sure that Pikestar has taken every precaution and analyzed the situation thoroughly. He wouldn't make a decision like that on a whim," she mused, her gaze fixed on the long furred leader atop the Streamstone.

As they continued to listen to announcements, a wave of shock and anger pulsed through Moonfrost's pelt.
A rogue had the audacity to take kits lives?
She felt her claws slide out, digging into the dirt beneath her. The black tabby had always held a hatred towards those who harmed the young. Especially now that she had a daughter. Icy blue eyes fixed on Pikestar, determination flickering in the depths. Her gaze held a single, unerring demand.
Send me to guard anyone, and I will protect them with my life.
Then the realization hit her. She hadn't seen her daughter in some time. Where was Cloudpaw? Her muscles tensed as anxiety rolled through her chest, her eyes darting around the clearing.

Feeling her sister tense up next to her, Wolfsong was just about to comfort Moonfrost when she felt Fawnleap lean against her. She wrapped her striped tail around the brown she-cat, and gave her a comforting lick on the head.
"I will stand guard with you," Wolfsong promised, giving her girlfriend a soft smile. Then, suddenly, Fawnleap's face was buried in her chest fur. Concern washed over her as she heard the brown she-cat's breathing stutter and shake. Wrapping her paws around Fawnleap's shoulders, Wolfsong pulled her as close as she could manage, holding her firmly.
"It's okay, Fawnleap. You're safe. I wont let anyone hurt you," the silver tabby mewed softly into the brown warrior's ear.

Two kits had been killed. And now, it seemed, RiverClan was going into lockdown. Was that necessary? He thought back, the rogues had been more active recently. With that break-in not so long ago, and he had heard of another one in ThunderClan at the last gathering. Maybe Pikestar was taking the correct precautions.

Bluepaw's mind started racing, forgetting all about the face that Pikestar was a loner in the past. "Two... kit... deaths... the camp isn't safe!" His thoughts were spilling out of his mouth faster then he could stop himself. "No one is safe! This is... we are being targeted! I hope I get to go with on one of the patrols to find this rouge. I will find the rouge. Maybe that's who I get remembered in RiverClan, other than being the leader's apprentice. Maybe I will find this rouge! Yeah! Good idea, Bluepaw!" The white-furred tomcat congrats himself and turns to leave the meeting to go do what Pikestar said NOT to: go outside of the camp by himself.

Sun'kit and Night'kit listened worriedly. Sun'kit wanted to beat up the rouge, while Night'kit had other thought about staying with Snow'leap every second of every minute of every hour of every day. @canineantics
