Don't do it. "Sorry. All full up. Yep. Don't you have... medicine cat duties to worry about now, anyway? Maybe you should go work on that." That perhaps... came out a bit harsher than he intended, but maybe that was for the better if Lion was going to make a scene otherwise.

Fawnsqueak blinked. An uneasy feeling settled in his gut because he could've sworn he just heard Sootflare taking on another helper and possibly even tossing in a comment about how they needed as many paws as they could get for this endeavor. "Oookay. Yeah.. Looks like you have plenty of warriors already," he replied, tone verging on skeptical. It was a massive change from the chipper demeanor that he'd approached with, not expecting to be shut down so swiftly.

His expression fell slightly, jaw tight as he averted his gaze. He hated that Sootflare threw that in his face when he didn't even want the role. "I mean, it wouldn't be the worst idea to have a medicine cat overseeing potentially-drowning kits, soo.. I guess it's too bad that you're suddenly all full up." The echo of Sootflare's response was mildly bitter, taking everything he had to make it not outright scornful. Dropping a sigh, he shook his head, it was probably nothing. They could talk later and ease his nerves to confirm there was no animosity here.

Lionstar frowned when Emberfang approached.. without the queen in question? "Emberfang, I can't talk to her about joining the Clan if you don't bring her with you."

Emberfang ran back to where he left Shade, to find her whimpering. "Come on, it's okay.. we won't hurt you. Lionstar wants to talk to you." He guided her to where Lionstar was. "Here she is." he said to Lionstar.

Koistream was shaken to say the least as he stumbled into the clearing, disregarding his few small catches by the prey pile as his bi-coloured eyes searched the clearing for some form of authority figure. "Lionstar!" He called out, heart still pounding from his 'hunting patrol' in the Sleepy Thicket.

Eveningpaw gave a small glanced at the young apprentices, I’d rather be with warriors, but whatever, I’ll stick with them. She gave a small flick,” I’m Eveningpaw. Ehh...I need to learn to swim, after all.” she meowed smiling.

Dawnkit quickly padded up to her friend from behind the nursery, running up to him quickly “sorry I’m late! I had to go make dirt and I didn’t want to go in the nursery” she rubbed against Duskkit happily, “excited for the swimming lesson?” She asked @wolfnight

Duskkit turned, seeing Dawnkit. He started to pur loudly, also rubbing against her. "Oh yeah! I'm pumped up!" He smiled at Dawnkit, starting to groom her pelt. "I missed you so much! Guess what? Blizzardkit jumped into the pond and nearly drowned! Sootflare had to rescue him!" Duskkit giggled, trying not to be too loud.

"Hey, Lionstar. I found a ginger in our territory. She wants to join Riverclan." Greenfur stepped to the side so he can see the orange feline in full view. "Or Sootflare," calling out the deputy's name just in case Lionstar wasn't around. It's understandable after what happened.
