Gingerpaw looked at Stormfang and gasped. “No! I concur that Lionstorm should be chastened for his actions, but the virtuous bystanders in RiverClan should not be at all. If we barrage them now it will only make this whole ordeal worse!”

Iciclepaw waited a little bit for the other two warriors to come over before mentally deciding they weren't going to. ,,, what now? .. She didn't want to yell at them- Maybe they're hunting or something? ... but ThunderClan really needed the herbs. If RiverClan were to raid now, we would be crushed- how can I appear calm when we're in such great danger?!? "Blueface, Dustsong! I need you in the clearing for herb patrols!!" Remember the ones we already lost!! Her father's dead body being dragged by Sunhowl. The golden tabby pushing Rainywhisker into Eveningmist's claws. Applepaw, a dear friend from kithood, being slammed into the Thunderwillow. Dogspirit collapsing on the ground...

"Rabbitdream [ @Papaya], you'll be leading Blueface and Dustsong if they ever show up, along with Flyheart [ @Kunaiskrill]. I want your group to look for cobwebs. Should be pretty simple, found dry crevices and such,, gathering them with a stick will be best... Then there's a plant called yarrow.. it has small white flowers and doesn't smell the best." Hopefully her descriptions of the plants were okay, she was still getting used to them herself.

Then for the other patrol... "Sunchaser [ @spade], I'm trusting you to lead Sunnydew [ @AntiAngelic] and Flutterpaw [ @Snook]." She gave a hopefully reassuring smile at her flower-picking friend, seeing that he was nervous. I,, hope he's fine with it- "This group will be looking for marigold. It's a yellow-golden flower that smells sweet and grows kinda low to the ground. If you can, also try to find poppy flowers- a large red flower,,,."

• Each cat can only carry back 5 herbs [not including special herbs]
• Special herbs include: poppyseeds (you bring the flower Iciclepaw then shakes out 3-7 seeds out of each flower) or burdock (a big root only 3 can be carried at a time)
• You will report at the end by posting a herb addition post in the herb storage (using my format and linking your collection post)
• Patrols are due on the 17th
• You can pm/vm me for patrol extension(s) but if one member is dragging you down feel free to leave them behind!

Sunnydew nodded, looking at her patrol partners, once of them, thankfully, being her Apprentice. She went up to the two and nodded at Sunchaser. "I'm ready to leave whenever you are." She meowed

Flutterpaw's tabby tail bushed up, barely able to contain her enthusiasm, but she set her shoulders at a solid angle and nodded in what seemed like a mature way to Sunchaser and Sunnydew. "I'm ready whenever you are," she squeaked, somewhat sobered by the fact that she realized she couldn't remember a single one of the herbs Iciclepaw had mentioned. Er... was poppy seeds one of them? She gave a nervous little laugh and twitched her ear towards the still-unfamiliar mentor. "Um... so, do you have any idea where to- start looking for..." She let her last word trail off into an unintelligible mumble, and covered it with a cough and a weak grin.

Sunnydew smiled at the Apprentice and thought. "Well, we have Marigold and poppy flowers to find, so it should be somewhere where the sun can help it grow. They're both flowers, yellow and red flowers... where have I seem those?" She'd been staying in camp a lot recently; she didn't even know where to begin this patrol, and she didn't think she was the one that was supposed to be starting them off. She glanced at Sunchaser.
