Eagleflower exhaled, the breath within his lungs cold. Shivering, he glared up at the sky, its blue shades tucking themselves between clouds. The wind was bitter, yet the sun shone down upon them as if it were teasing them. He was desperate to get outside, though, so he decided to brave the wind and stumble over to his usual spot under a scrawny, twiglike excuse for a tree. A deep sigh exited his mouth as he slumped against the wood. Today was a good day. No one was in the mood to talk, at least, not to him, so he was safe from all those crazy hyper extroverts who wouldn't shut up. And besides, barely anycat ventured over here. It was like his very own force field, all to himself. He wasn't an arrogant cat, no at all, but he was shy and awkward. He liked to tuck himself away and turn himself invisible, green gaze the only think vibrant about him. His brown fur fluffed out in silent protest against the billing breeze, and he regretted coming out here. At least he wasn't in the stuffy old warriors den. Closing his eyes, he let the world around him grow quiet, zoning out. How he loved the magic of day dreaming.

Doefeather glanced apologetically at Eveningpaw, walking away with a shrug. "Nothing more I can do. She's firm as ever."

Eveningpaw smiled giving the kit one more chance,” What do you mean, false friendships, I want to get to know you so I can be your friend.” she meowed glancing back at Doefeather.

Eveningpaw noticed a cat she recognized Eaglepaw!no...Lionstar said his name was Eagleflower now...call him Eagleflower. Eveningpaw carefully approached him, seeing that he seemed lost in the zone. She quietly sat down next to him, not saying anything to startle him, just to be there, so he’d maybe notice her, without her starling him.

( @Beau )( @shortstack ) Ringpaw sat, wrapping her ringed tail around her paws. She was nervous about reciting her story, but Grizzlybug's comforting presence gave her the courage to speak. “Well... It started when I was out in the territory looking for some prey to bring home. I had gotten distracted by a particularly fat water vole, and I was following it, but I must have traveled too close to the edge of twolegplace because I came across an empty thunderpath. I have a huge fear of thunderpaths and the monsters that roam them, but before I could run back into the trees, a huge silver box like thing fell on top of me, trapping me inside. I yelled for help as a twoleg came up to me, she had a big blue box with a door. She... She shoved me inside... I fought and clawed and bit, yet the twoleg didn't even flinch. The box reeked of twoleg and kittypets...“ she shuddered at the memories, trying to keep herself from curling into a tiny ball. Taking a deep breath, she continued. “After that, I was put into a waiting monster and taken to a twoleg den. Once inside, they released me from the box, and I hissed before hiding under a big wooden thing. They tried to coax me out, but as it got dark out, they gave up. I fell asleep where I was, onlx to wake up to them yelling and blundering around a room. They had set a big white leaf beside me, and in it was something soft and sloppy. I took a bite, and realised it was kittypet food. It was the worst stuff I had ever tasted. But I hadn't eaten since my capture so I forced it down. I decided to venture out, and I was walking around the den when I saw another cat, a tom who smelled like kittypet. His name was Jake. He was friendly and showed sympathy when I told him my story, but he didn't understand why I didn't want to be a kittypet. Still, he agreed to help me escape. Meanwhile, he said, I needed to be nice to his housefolk. I agreed. After about two moons of living there, I was asleep when Jake woke me, telling me that the twolegs were bringing stuff in through the door, and the next time they opened the door would be my chance to escape. It was a small chance, but it was my only one. I will admit I was sad about leaving him. After all, he had been my friend and made everything bearable. But I knew I belonged in the forest. So I said my good byes and slipped out the door as it opened, and I ran. I ran through twolegplace until I found where I think I had been captured, and wandered the forest for several days, until I managed to find my way to where Grizzlybug found me...“ Ringpaw trailed off as her story concluded, and she licked her chest fur in embarrassment. “I knew I probably should have been more careful. But I learned my lesson. And, I... I'm just so glad to be back home.“ she gave Sootflare a nervous smile, and kneaded her paws into the moss beneath her.

Salmonsong entered the clearing and headed straight to Lionstar,” I need to report what happened on the patrol along the Thunderclan border. There was a very faint scent of a badger, seemed to have headed into Thunderclan territory, seemed maybe 5 days old, so the badger might still be around.” she meowed

"Well..." he began, blinking a couple of times as he did his best to take in the wealth of information he was just provided. A simple 'I was captured by twolegs and escaped' would have very well sufficed but there was nothing to be done about it, "I didn't quite need all of that information but I suppose it serves to tell how determined you were to return home." Sootflare let out a sigh. "Very well. You've been through enough. I don't have an issue with you returning but I have to let you know that you may be restarting your training at Lionstar's discretion and if you happen to disappear again - There is no guarantee that you will be allowed in again."

Grizzlybug smiled and turned to Ringpaw, “welcome back, kiddo!” Turning to Sootflare, Grizz meowed, “seems I’m no longer needed so I’ll be making my goodbyes. Bye, Soot! Bye, kid!” And off Grizzlybug trotted to seek out a fish for lunch before heading back into the territory to hunt.
