She snuggled up next to Berrykit. Berrykit was like Mom. A little, at least. Warm and sweet and comforting. But she still wasn't Dogspirit.

"Really," Berrykit forced out a purr. The grief rolling from Houndkit in waves was enough for even spunky little Berry to feel horrible. But she was trying. She wanted Houndkit to know she wasn't alone. "Don't ever forget that Dogspirit is never ever truly gone, Houndkit. You carry her spirit with you, and her love." It was wise words for a 3 moon-old kit, but Berrykit had to say something for her friend.

"I didn't know my mama...but I would have wanted her to be just like Dogspirit, you know? Strong, fearless, loving and sweet. What every cat should be." She mewed, "So are you gonna be like Dogspirit? I know I want to," She giggled, tucking her paws under her chest as she looked to Houndkit with a gentle gaze.

Well, at least some cats were getting the point. Eveningmist had a good stand though,,, they couldn't just attack RiverClan on the actions of one cat... and if whoever was leading them now [stupid coyotets] attacked then so be it. We're stronger in our own territory...

Oh stars, Dogspirit's kits- the noise of Rainykit and Houndkit's tears made her wince. I know what it's like to lose a parent- Three parents actually, but that didn't matter now. She planned on going to the nursery to see how they were doing later- why is everything happing so darn fast, ...

The young apprentice took a moment to survey the clearing while taking some gentle, deep breaths. Calm.. please- bring up the herb storage,, maybe then it'll show the clan how much we can't afford battle right now .. what if it just makes everyone more afraid..

"For everyone's information, the herb storage is extremly low.. we really can't just leap claws first into battle,, I agree with Eveningmist- If RiverClan decides to blame us for nothing we did wrong, then we'll fight. But not now..."

"Stars- too many.." Iciclepaw didn't want to make her friend sad, but she couldn't exactly leave Tall to find out on her own either. ".. He's dead Tall- he's dead" she meowed as if saying it out loud would make it more real then before. "Along with Rainywhisker,, Applepaw, and a queen named Dogspirit,.." All gone..

"... Oh and Rainy resigned before his death,, I'm the new medicine cat apprentice with Sunhowl as my mentor.. Eyes even tearier now, Iciclepaw didn't care if the whole clan was watching her.

Stormpaw stared, not knowing what to do. She hardly noticed the other cats around her. Hardly noticed the talking of cats except for one. Iciclepaw's. The medicine cat apprentice was right. If they didn't have herbs they would lose many cats. If they were going to fight they needed to wait.

Yawning, TawnyLeaf wakes up from the unplanned nap she had taken on the limb of one of the many trees that towered around the clan.
Slowly blinking her eyes, she sat up, her long ruddy-color tail draping down from the limb she was on.
Digging her claws into the tough bark of the tree, TawnyLeaf swiftly jumps down- making her way back into the clearing, hitting the ground softly. Her golden eyes now scanning around the clearing.

Softshadow was licking himself, he looked around, he saw many groups of cats talking. He had just scrambled away from his mother, iceheart after she had hissed at him. Her and his brother were jerks.

The dark grey molly stopped in mid-breath with the slow acknowledgment that she may have gone too far. Pursing her lips with a slight wide-eye look with molly cleared her throat and relaxed her expression. Rolling her shoulders back and sitting down Hiddenflame curled her tail over her paws and looked at the tom.

She noticed the soggy shrew as he spoke about his hunting experience. "Who is your mentor?" Hiddenflame spoke calmly, she already chewed the tom out and he didn't need another unless he proved that he had fewer brain cells than she thought. With the tom speaking about her age...it brought a slight scowl to her face. "I recently became an elder, I can still hunt for myself." Gah Hiddenflame like this treatment like she was a fragile thing. "Go dry the shrew out, I'll eat it when it's not dripping wet." The elder waved her paw for the apprentice to go do as she said. "After that come back and tell me more about why you thought you could fish from the river." Even though she won't admit it the molly felt slightly bad about lashing out at the apprentice.

Thistlethorn nodded, though his ear twitched in surprise at the low herb shortage. Had there been patrols? If not, he could volunteer: the only thing he often did was train Mistypaw, after all. He would have to talk to Iciclepaw and Sunhowl later.
