Orchidmoon followed at the tail-end of the group, her bright green eyes scanning the forest in front of them for both twolegs and herbs. After Cougarivy’s patrol’s run-in with the dogs, Orchidmoom had been extremely cautious in the forest. Judging by the most recent clan meeting, there were even more things to be concerned about other than dogs.

The molly broke away from the group as they slowed, eyes peeled for any yellow among the endless greens and browns of ShadowClan territory. She flicked an ear as Vixensnarl began speaking, her tail-tip twitching thoughtfully. That was a good point. She turned looking towards Ivysnake. She wasn’t familiar with herbs or herb safety, so she wouldn’t comment on Vixensnarl’s question.

~ IVYSNAKE OF SHADOWCLAN ~

Ivysnake sniffed the air, her lip curling as the foul scent of Twoleg rubbish filled her nose. Why did Twolegs like to be so disgusting? Dropping their stuff everywhere, making a mess, training dogs to be their pets... it was vile. Though maybe, if ShadowClan learned how to control other creatures... We don't need them, she thought fiercely, shoving the thought away. We're cats, and clearly we're the best in the forest. We don't need stinking dogs or badgers or foxes. Through her angry thoughts, Vixensnarl's voice cut through, and Ivysnake pricked her ears to listen. The brown tabby was asking if herbs could potentially be poisoned. Ivysnake frowned. She'd never thought about it before. "I'm not sure, but maybe," she admitted. She cast a glance at the weird rainbow liquid shimmering about. "If something bad gets into the soil, maybe it'll absorb into the plant's roots." Now that she paid it more mind, the piece of borage she held (she did not know much about what it did, but she thought she'd heard the name somewhere) had a bit of a taste.

"We should go deeper," the black-striped medicine cat apprentice suggested. "Maybe there will be less of this rainbow stuff. The borage I grabbed has an odd taste, so we shouldn't use it." She dropped the purple-flowered plant to the ground and headed deeper, hoping that the patrol was keeping up. Eventually, she reached a piece of the territory that was far and isolated and, thankfully, only had a few bits of Twoleg rubbish. "It's cleaner over here," she called, waving her dark-brown-and-black tail in the hopes of attracting the patrol's attention despite how it blended in with the dark pine trees. "And I think there are more herbs. We should be able to find a couple of marigolds here, at least." A purple sprig caught her eye, and she bent to inspect it. Borage. The Dark Forest was giving her luck. The dark brown tabby grabbed it and nodded to the patrol as a means of ordering them to start looking.

@NinjaBloss @Naiad (Maybe one of them could find a marigold flower, and Ivysnake'll find one on the way out?)

“No I’m fine” he said, “why don’t we go near the windclan border?” He asked Robinfeather
