“I’ll get you through apprenticeship, Bluebellpaw,” He promised her, “I won’t let you go mentorless again.”
He knew the apprentice would be holding him to the promise he’d just made, and he hoped that he knew what he was saying.

She leaned up to press her nose against Antlerstreak shyly, before pulling away. "Thank you, Mr. Antlerstreak," she said softly. "I'll make sure not to disappoint you."

She tipped her head a little lower, slightly embarrassed. "Uhm... Miss Bluebellcrackle was to be my mentor, but she's gone now," her heart gave a stab of betrayal, "and she didn't teach me anything before she left." She glanced up at the tom timidly. Hopefully he wasn't mad?

Ferretpaw lifted his head in excitment as the other apprentices got their mentors, and then he got one to! He purred excitedly as he heard his new mentor would be Otterfluff! Granted the tom wasn't here at the moment was dissapointing... But he was patrolling the borders! That had to mean he'd be a great mentor! He nodded to Robinpaw as the bigger tom went to his own mentor. Since Otterfluff wasn't here, he should at least make himself look like he barely woke up a few minutes ago. Sitting down, he got to grooming his fur.

Amberpaw slowly padded up to Beansprout. She refused to get her hopes up yet again.

"Hi? I'm Amberpaw. Don't worry, I hopefully won't be an apprentice for too long. And I've had......... Starclan, it might as well literally be ten other mentors who disappeared. So there's no expectations. You won't have to do anything."

She nodded to Robinpaw. "Hopefully you have good luck. I mean, I'm not sure if us training for long together would be good or bad considering the timing, and I haven't had the best time with other apprentices, so I'll try not to be distant. But still, good luck!"

Odd as it seemed, she delivered her speech quickly and quietly, ending it with a forced chuckle. She wouldn't be rude, she couldn't. Then she'd be completely making sure she was the reason no one stuck around. And she couldn't take that. But she was so done hoping for friends or clanmates at all who stuck around.

Firelight watched as the apprentices met with their new mentors. Her name wasn't mentioned, but she was still glad that the apprentices would be catching up on their training. It's good for the Clan to have well-trained cats.

beansprout

to be honest, the siamese hadn't expected much out of this meeting. he would attend because that's what he should do, but behind his neutral expression was an unending torrent of negative thoughts and overwhelming emotions. at this point, beansprout was so used to everything racing in his mind that he was almost numb to it. he was able to zone out and focus on pikestar's words while staring into the middle distance.

that was, until his name was called. and he got not one, but two apprentices.

before he could even stand to find them, the pair of cats came to him, one significantly younger than the other. amberpaw spoke first, and he felt a stab of sympathy for his clanmate. stars, so many cats disappeared nowadays. he couldn't imagine what amberpaw was going through. "hey, i'm beansprout. and i promise i'm going to stick with you until you become a warrior. i'm kinda new to all this, but i'll be here whenever you need, alright? don't hesitate to yell for me any time." beansprout offered a soft smile before turning to the other younger apprentice.

robinpaw seemed to be a bit more nervous than anything, so beansprout attempted to give the other cat a soft touch of his tail. "hey robinpaw, there's no need to be nervous, i promise i don't bite too hard," he attempted a small joke. "just like amberpaw, you can call for me whenever you need me. i'm here for both of you until you become strong riverclan warriors. i promise." maybe... maybe these apprentices would be good for him. after all, beansprout felt a small warmth in his chest that he hadn't felt since his kit... since fawnpaw.... beansprout sighed. he couldn't think of that right now; he had to focus.

The Tom looked around, “Right!”he said before smiling, “Yes, let’s go!”he responded, sparking with joy and excitement as he made way to the entrance only to shiver from the cold.
