Cinderstar
Pushing through the thick brambles near the edge of ThunderClan territory, Cinderstar took a moment to take in the sights around her. Stretching before her as the earth sloped down was a wide, expansive area. Dozens of beautiful flowers and and plants popped up here and there, along with some parts that were overgrown with foliage. In one far corner was a broken down Twoleg den that, upon earlier scouting done by the leader, had been vacant for quite some time. Moss grew along the sides of the dens walls and near the torn down entrance. It seemed to house a variety of plants in the undergrowth, and once cleared to be used as ThunderClan territory would surely be a find for Sundust and Rosepaw.

Across the way from that were two large oak trees growing so closely together that their trunks had seem to grow into one another a few tail-lengths from the ground, forming some sort of ledge at the top. Their leaves stretched high into the sky, swaying slightly in the breeze. A few holes lay dug around near them, and Cinderstar twitched her whiskers recalling her earlier expedition of the area. No new holes seemed to have appeared which was good - it meant that she would not need to rethink the strategy.

Around the bend of a clump of reeds was a trickling stream, the sounds of its bubbling apparent as she perked her ears. It was easy enough to see where the trees thinned; the slow slowing stream as it moved lazily down its course. Cinderstar had determined that it was enough to provide a source of prey in the form of creatures who used it as their water source - and in turn hunting for ThunderClan - and deep enough to aide in any future swimming lessons. Not that ThunderClan would ever be turning into water-dwellers, but it wouldn't hurt to know how to at least do it.

Towards one the end of the stream as it snaked further into the outskirts, where the trees thinned out, was what appeared to be a bridge of sorts with some weird Twoleg glow-things planted on either side of its entrance in the ground. Cinderstar had only ever seen them shine at night - during they day they appeared to be off. However, it was not feasible to cross in its current state; brambles and undergrowth had furled over the entrance making crossing it impossible - for now.

Looking at the other end, near where a few rocks were piled into a somewhat solid cliff, water trickled down heavily into the stream as if feeding it from a source high above. On the opposite side of the bank stood a large wisteria tree, some of its branches overhanging into the stream. It billowed out along the shoreline providing lots of natural shade from the sun and a cool atmosphere the last time Cinderstar had stood on the opposite shoreline watching its branches sway in the wind.

Finding a rather suitable rock from where she could stand and address those who had come with her, she gave a nod and lifted her chin to signal all of her Clanmates to fall silent. "Thank you all for coming. I have brought you out here to introduce you to a new piece of land that we will be claiming as ThunderClan's. As you can see, it boasts plentiful herbs and plants, and is an excellent spot for hunting. I have checked out the abandon Twoleg den and it appears to have been vacant for sometime. What I would like to do is to split every cat here into groups and have you ready this area for scent markers to be placed down. I am not naïve enough to think that there are not territorial predators here, so we must make sure it is cleared and safe for the rest of the Clan."

With that, she fell silent to allow her Clanmates to spread around and allowed them time to shuffle in and settle for a moment before she would be dividing them into their patrols.

Trailing further near the back of the group of her clanmates, Icicleripple took a moment to scan her surroundings as the crowd opened up into what seemed to be a large clearing from her view. And there, across from a rather large tree which seemed to be made up of two separate trunks now merged was a .. twoleg den? Covered in some moss, vines hanging from flat coverings with other characteristics of the beauty that was nature. Scents of a few flowering plants resting in the shade of the shadow cast by the structure. As Cinderstar's voice rang through the clearing, ThunderClan's leader perched upon a rock- hopefully with the intention to provide more insight into why they'd come in the first place.

ah.. more territory. It did make some sense, expanding into the outskirts- and the place did look rather resourceful for herbal needs. Continuing to push clan involvement after recent successes with the return to a more stable life. Yet.. with my lack of battle training though.,, . The molly obviously recognized her lack of skills, something that was slowly being improved on. It seemed she would just have to wait and see how she could be helpful to readying the area.

Stagbounds maw flew open. WOW! This new area was so bountiful and beautiful. How had they never seen it before? No matter, it was theirs now and all Stagbound wanted to do was look around and sniff the flowers. "Hey! Thunderblaze! Wanna smell some nearby flowers with me?"

Dutifully following behind Cinderstar, the tan molly's head turned eagerly from side to side as they moved through a new stretch of forest. Green eyes sparkled in anticipation as she drank in the new sights and smells of the territory and made mental notes of landmarks as they moved. This would certainly be a boon for Thunderclan, especially during Green-leaf.

As the silver bengal slowed and leapt up onto a rock to address the rest of the patrol, Sparrowflight silently took a seat off to the side. She wasn't exactly meant to partake in this challenge, but it would be good to have another sight of eyes evaluating the goings-on and ready paws in case of emergency. However, her attention was immediately grabbed by a fascinating pair of trees in the distance.

Hmmmmm... Perhaps that would be a good spot to keep tabs on each group that Cinderstar assigned.

Kneading her brown paws into the ground in anticipation, the Thunderclan deputy awaited Cinderstar's starting call before doing anything. It would do them no good if she bolted off without hear what each group was supposed to be doing. How would she know who was slacking?

The quiet she cat padded in. As she sat, she listened to the leaders words, her old ears flicking away buzzes that she heard in her ear. Woah! New land, cool. She looked at the cute looking flowers and plants. How nice she thought.

She would look up at the leader and await orders.

Amberbloom purred with happiness. More land means a better clan! This place will help feed and heal our cats! Oh, this is going to be great!

She could hardly even believe her eyes.

How Cinderstar had managed to find this place was beyond her. It was unlike anything she'd ever seen, like something out of a dream, and absolutely beautiful. With a twitch of her tail, Bumblebreak selected a spot to settle down in as instructed by the silver leader. She honestly wanted nothing more than to just spring to her feet and explore every inch of the place, but it was unfamiliar and unsecure; any kind of threat could be lurking around a bend, like dogs or territorial rogues, and leaving the group would be dangerous, not to mention going against direct orders.

Apparently, some cats didn't understand basic, common sense. She shot Thunderblaze and Stagbound disapproving looks as the pair immediately broke away to do their own thing. Idiots.

➢ Towards the back of the group, the slender tortie warrior followed the clan leader at a brisk and silent pace. Their vibrant green-hued eyes would occasionally flicker off towards something that would peak their interest, but it wouldn’t take long for their focus to return to the path ahead of them. This was an important chance that they were getting by being one of the various Thunderclanners out here right now. Soon enough, Cinderstar allowed the clowder of clan cats to come to a stop and the gray-furred molly perched herself up on an appropriate rock. They couldn't help but feel a tad excited for what was to come.

Glancing at a few other cats to see how they’d react, Brightpath soon sat down and listened to Cinderstar’s words, their tail resting gently on the ground alongside them. They blinked as the ThunderClan leader spoke of this being a new piece of territory for the clan. The young feline took this chance to look around them, spotting various pretty plants and other notable features that allowed this place to stand out. Yes, this seemed like a fine place to make a part of ThunderClan’s grounds. Brightpath’s eyes went back to Cinderstar, nodding as she explained that they would all be separated into groups to place scent markers. As that was established, a slight commotion caused the thin calico to glance over towards Stagbound and Thunderblaze, who seemed to be preoccupied with frolicking through the flowers. They had to hold back a sharp tsk from sounding, wanting to remain professional, but the torbie feline couldn’t help but shake their head before returning their gaze to Cinderstar.

“Dumbasses. Don’t come here if you aren’t gonna act like an adult.” Brightpath thought, their ear twitching with slight annoyance. They hoped Cinderstar would punish them accordingly for acting like kittens that were still in the nursery.
