Sparring Partner

Hey hey! Things have been pretty busy for me, but I'm going to
have some more time coming up. I've been considering a plot for
my ShadowClan apprentice, Sparkpaw [site link in signature.]

When the plot takes place: 1 month or 2 in the future.

Duration: Probably till the characters reach warriorhood - but flexible.

Background: Sparkpaw is terrified of Dawnstar after the disastrous Highbranch meeting.
Now that she's found out apprentices must battle Dawn herself for their final assessment, Spark
will channel her fear into vigorous preparation, because she hates being afraid. She gets to
a point where she'll do whatever it takes to win. Therefore- Spark will look for a sparring partner.
This partner would be another apprentice, someone Spark can sneak away with and practice battle
moves she learns; her goal will be to perfect her skills, impress her mentor and ultimately succeed
against Dawnstar in the final assessment.

The plot premise: There will be two parts to this. First, Spark and her sparring partner make a
long-standing arrangement to practice and hone their combat skills till they're warriors. The
sparring partner's motivation for accepting is up to you.

Second, Spark is having an internal conflict about right and wrong, whether she should conform
to Dawnstar's idea of strength or not. She's going to learn some Dark Forest moves... potentially
from her mentor, Talonstone, but nothing set in stone. After Spark and her sparring partner have
built a relationship and perhaps mutual trust, Sparkpaw will use some not-so-fair battle moves
on them, culminating in the sparring partner getting badly injured. Spark is horrified at what she's
done and tries to fix it before anyone finds out. Maybe her sparring partner covers for her, saying
it was an accident, maybe not. Things are flexible / up to the characters.

Sparring partner: Can be any gender, preferably an apprentice, and at the very least a
type of friend for Spark. I'm open-minded to romance potential between Spark and this partner,
but it's not necessary. I'm looking for someone semi-active who wants to write multi paragraph
replies. It would be interesting if this character had ideas of morality too! They might conflict
with Spark's, they might align with Dawn's- whichever your character leans most towards.

Feel free to use the form structure or not - but ultimately I'm looking for good plot ideas. (:

Why would they want in on this sparring arrangement/what goals do they have?:He's also terrified of Dawn, and realized he needs to get better at fighting, so basically same.
Would they forgive Sparkpaw?: Depends on how bad. He's a general nice little dude, but if it's really bad or slows his warriorhood down, it'd be quite slow, maybe nonexistent.
What is their moral alignment?:He's firmly anti-Dawn, but he's terrified of her, so he won't argue. He's having some emotional, issues, trying to stay happy for his oblivious girl, wanting to protect his adopted fam, become a warrior, just having moral issues right now, so it's kind of up in the air. Generally pretty good though, won't maul anyone or anything.
Additional notes / Plot ideas:Please don't hurt him to bad! I want him to become a warrior at some point. Also, I'm generally unable to write more than two small/one big paragraph, we've rped before so it won't be more or less than that I think.

Why would they want in on this sparring arrangement/what goals do they have?: She doesn't have an opinion of Dawnstar but wants to get better at fighting. (And hopes to win against Dawn)
Would they forgive Sparkpaw?: Probably yes if they are friends.
What is their moral alignment?: It really depends. Sometimes she's happy and willing to make friends while other times she's cold, mean, untrusting and wants to stay silent.
Additional notes / Plot ideas: Russet used to steal from ShadowClan before she joined so she might open up and tell Spark if they become friends.

Gender/Sexuality: Female/straight
Why would they want in on this sparring arrangement/what goals do they have?: Haze sparred Dawnstar to get into the clan, so she would be willing to help Spark a little. Also, she doesn't really like Dawnstar, although she respects her, and would want to practice fighting if she knew she had to spar her again.
Would they forgive Sparkpaw?: Eventually, but they'd probably be wary of Spark for a while.
Pro Dawnstar or Anti-Dawnstar?: Um, she's not like in love with her, but she doesn't despise her either. Mostly just respect.
Additional notes / Plot ideas: Spark could find out that Haze has sparred Dawn before and want her to teach her? Haze would be reluctant, but agree. Also, Haze has a missing tail, so maybe Spark would take advantage of that when she injures her. (her balance is terrible without her tail)
