Petalbee smiled sheepishly before she spoke "I didn't have anything to do at the moment so I just thought to find some company." The Molly slowed as she got closer, until reaching a stop next to the other cat.

The sand and cream colored felt her sister move back a little, and swallowed a little at the first words, but her muscles relaxed and a slight chuckle even escaped her when Sparrowflight mentioned this experience being enough for punishment. She perked up a little when her mother and littermate were mentioned, but with every second of Sparrowflight's trail-off, she felt a sinking feeling in her stomach. Got it, they were gone. Of course she wouldn't be allowed to be quite that happy.
She remembered Cindersky vaguely, and it made sense for an older cat to take over, but it didn't seem that leadership had lasted too long. Killed by a badger. Tulippaw could clearly hear the pain in her sister's voice, and understood that she and the leader must have gotten closer when working on getting Thunderclan back on it's feet. But then Sparrowflight said something more, and Tulippaw's somewhat sympathetic expression disappeared, her face becoming completely blank.
"Wha..."
She went over the words in her head again. Before the leader had lost her last life, Sparrowflight had been the deputy. But... no- that had to mean... "Sparrow...star, then?" The name tasted so... odd on her tongue. Her sister? As leader? It wasn't impossible of course, it had never been. It was just... Stars, she should really have been here for that.
Goldleaf jumped slightly at the mention of getting an apprentice. They didn't want an apprentice! They were happy everyone else got one, but /them/? Nope, nope, nope. They would have to fix this with Sparrowstar. They couldn't handle an apprentice! Especially not one that would have been trained better by someone else! "Sparrowstar-!" They mewed, fur prickling. Would it be to selfish to ask Finchpaw got placed to different cat?

The orange tabby padded to the Windclan and Thunderclan border. He looked around for Sparrowstar. Since he wasn't from here, he didn't really know what they looked like. He also didn't want to cross the border if he was unwanted in their territory. Ashblaze sat down, waiting for the Thunderclan leader to make their rounds.

Jumping down from a nearby tree, Sparrowstar regarded the wandering outsider coolly before padding closer to prevent them from walking any further into the forest.
"This is Thunderclan territory. State your business or leave."
She couldn't be too careful after that last rogue attack. While this intruder smelled more like two-legs, they could be affiliated with the foxhearts who had attempted to steal Thunderclan's kits.

Far too many of her warriors were being snatched by two-legs nowadays... Perhaps Sparrowstar needed to implement some new training.

Perhaps she needed to implement some new punishments as well. Hmmm... Giving a final nod to the returned warrior, Sparrowflight trotted back off into the underbrush to sort out her ideas.

Roosterflame was a little startled by Sparrowflight’s reaction, but he understood why she would be not-too-happy with him, he did disappear without any warning for a while, and that wasn’t good at all. “I wouldn’t have left if I could help it, Sparrowflight. Brows furrowed as Roosterflame told his story and showed her the little bell. Two-legs were getting bolder by the day it seemed... And that didn't bode well for her warriors.
"Of course, I'll let you back," Sparrowstar stated, voice softening slightly at his distress. "You are a valuable member of this clan, and I'm very glad to see you returned unharmed. Oh and it's... Sparrowstar know. As I said, you've missed quite a bit."
Stepping back, Sparrowstar gave the tom a brief nod of dismissal.
"I would appreciate it if you went out to hunt once you're re-settled in. Thunderclan has many mouths to feed nowadays."

Yup. There it was. The disbelief that shot a thorn directly into her heart.
Swallowing the lump in her throat, the tan she-cat merely hummed in acknowledgement before letting a thoughtful silence envelope the pair. It didn't matter that she was the leader, she'd always be Tulippaw's sister. They had to know that right?...
Clearing her throat, she decided to break the silence with a bit of formality as she stepped in the direction of camp.
"Well... I suppose now's as good a time as any to get you back home. Come, put your tail on my back and I'll show you the way."

Ashblaze stood up startled. He hadn't realized he was sitting on the border. He meant to sit on the Windclan side. The tom looked at Sparrowstar. "No, Twillightstar doesn't need any aid. I came here of my own free will. The reason I came to the Thunderclan border is quite simple. My sister Bumblebee is a member of your clan. I went to see her a few moons ago, but I got lost along the way. I think I was somewhere in the outskirts. I just came from Windclan. Twillightstar made a good point: "Why not just go and stay with your sister." The orange tabby spoke. "I suppose I'm asking if you would allow me to join your clan." Ashblaze finished a little bit out of breath.
(Idk why, but this came to my head while thinking about toeing. XD)

Crowkit couldn’t contain his excitement, he was becoming an apprentice at last! But what he didn’t expect was a name change. Was it perhaps because there was already a Crowpaw in ThunderClan? That had to be, he couldn’t find any other plausible reasoning. He was now Rainpaw. But he didn’t mind. It sounded okay, but how would his family react?
Looking around for Bumbleflight, he managed to catch sight of a warrior- or rather, the warrior caught sight of him. Fear overcame him. Not because of the sight of the warrior- but because he was an apprentice. A cat on his way to becoming a warrior. He had sort of become a natural fighter, having participated in play-fights with his siblings and wining, but the aspect of being able to participate in real battles (should they ever come) frightened him.
“H-hi,” he squeaked rather unexpectedly. “S-sorry, I suppose I’m j-just nervous… hehe.” Gathering his courage at Bumbleflight’s question, the tom added a nod, “Yes!”
He played it off as well as he could, hoping his fear would soon turn to excitement. It had to, right? And then it hit him- his Clanmates were cheering the new apprentices’ names. His name. It felt weird to hear his as Rainpaw, and even gave him a sort of headache. Hearing the cheers of so many warriors, apprentices, elders, kits, and others was honestly overwhelming. But Cr-Rainpaw wouldn’t let it bother him. Not yet, anyway.
Deciding to ignore the cheers from his Clanmates, he looked for his littermates and his parents. They were cheering too, and Rainpaw couldn’t contain his excitement enough to stop himself from waving his tail in thanks.
Mapleleaf looked cheerfully at ThunderClan, her eyes resting on the new apprentices. All she could do was cheer alongside her denmates and other ThunderClan companions. Her heart swelled with pride, even though none of the new apprentices were hers. Speaking of apprentices that weren’t hers, she was a little upset that she would no longer help Flamepaw train. But glad for her, nonetheless.
“Crocuspaw! Rainpaw! Hazelpaw!” She yowled at the top of her lunges, wincing with a little pain from her belly.

Flamepaw smiled brightly at the aspect of new denmates. Of course they wouldn’t be denmates for too long, she had her warrior ceremony coming up in the next couple moons. But for the first time in her life, the apprentice pushed the thought of her warrior ceremony out of her head. Her friend’s son was becoming an apprentice. It puzzled her that Rainpaw’s littermates weren’t joining in on the ceremony, but Flamepaw was sure that his littermates would come soon.
“Crocuspaw! Rainpaw! Hazelpaw!” She yowled beside her Clanmates, adding a bit of a clap with her tail against the dirt, hoping she wasn’t flying any toward her Clanmates. And then she looked around for Sparkflower. She half expected to have Mapleleaf as her mentor, but happy she got a permanent one. Where’s Sparkflower?

Ashpaw suppressed a sigh of relief when Darkpetal showed understanding of the situation. "Thank you, I won't let you down!" with a big smile he sat down beside his mentor and tried to focus on Sparrowstar's words, even if his mind was still filled with a new promise of hope. I can't wait to receive my warrior name! I wonder what Sparrowstar will choose.
The first announcement regarded two kits receiving their apprentice name. Ashpaw didn't know them, but everyone could clearly see how much the two were excited and truly happy. Surprisingly, one of the new mentors was Bumbleflight! His friend was finally getting an apprentice of his own, after all. He waited for the new pair to touch noses and then walked toward them. The creamy brown warrior looked radiant. "Bumblefligtht! Congrats, I can see that you're making much progress!" he said, purring with real pleasure. "I'm sure that you'll be a wonderful mentor, you taught me so well and were always available to help out other cats."
He turned to Rainpaw, a little dark brown tom that looked very similar to Bumbleflight. "And, of course, congrats to you too. I've learnt a lot from your new mentor, and I'm sure you will do it too. You can trust him." Ashpaw was sure that the pair would do well, but he reminded himself to check up on them some time. I look forward to hear how Bumbleflight will do!
It seems that today was a wonderful day for good news. Finally the clearing was full with cheerful chattering, and the apprentices' den was very full and ready to bring new warriors to Thunderclan. But, glancing at Sparrowstar, Ashpaw had the impression that their leader had other on her mind. Maybe she's thinking about the newcomer? He doesn't seem bad after all. He abandoned the thought with a lash of his tail, and at the right moment he joined the rest of the clan to chant the new names: "Rainpaw! Hazelpaw! Crocuspaw!"
Darkpetal was smiling when the kits got their apprentice names and mentors. He noticed Bumbleflight among them. Ashpaw mentioned that the cream-furred Tom had helped him with his hunting, and Darkpetal’s apprentice seemed happy, causing a sense of trust over Bumbleflight. He was happy that a trustworthy cat would be responsible for one of the new warriors. “Congratulations,” Darkpetal purred kindly.

"It's fine if you're nervous," Bumbleflight said in a reassuring tone, offering his new apprentice what he hoped was a calming smile. He remembered his own apprentice ceremony and, while he was more excited than nervous then, he certainly understood how Rainpaw felt. "We'll be working hard. So be ready!"
His right ear then picked up the sound of cats approaching and twitched, and the dark brown tabby looked over to see Ashpaw and Darkpetal approach, congratulating the both of them. Bumbleflight felt a bit flustered when Ashpaw started praising him like he was some great warrior, joined with Darkpetal's, simply for helping train him. Was it really that special? Eh... He didn't know how to take compliments so, instead, he licked his cream-colored chest in an attempt to cool down.
"Thanks you two," Bumbleflight said after a few moments. "Perhaps we could have a training session together, if you'd like. What do you think, Rainpaw?"
