Honeymoon looked up at Mossfall, there wasn't anything that could be done. The scent of foxes was strong on Honeymoon. "Moss...Otter..." was all she could say as the light faded out of her eyes, and her breath went still.

Honeymoon woke up in Starclan, her gaze looked around at the cats she knew who had long passed away. Her heart soared as she took in every cat...but her heart broke as she left the one cat she loved most in the world...Otterkit.

Sandyshore had found Oceanstar and brought him over. Oceanstar looked down to the she-cat, his eyes filling with mild greif. He'd set Sandyshore back to renew the messsage of, "Gullsight and Currentstorm, bring... Honeymoon's body back to camp please, I'll keep the kits inside until then." Sandyshore mewed, going over to Otterkit and gently licking her ears, "Hello my love, come with me to the nursery, I have something to tell you."

* She laid curled in the nursery. She made sure Otterkit was comfortable in the crook of her body. Currenkit mewed in fear from a nightmare and awoke with a start. She pushed into her mother and cried. Mossfall comforted her kit and purred lightly. *
" It's okay sweetie. You're safe. "

Gullsight and Currentstorm carefully lifted Honeymoon's body between them from where Mossfall had set her down. Gingerly, they laid the queen down in the center of the camp near Oceanstar's den. Then Gullsight and Currentstorm each started to groom Honeymoon's fur and clean her wounds, their eyes sparkling with grief as they each worked.


Bubblepaw and Riptidepaw looked on from the apprentice's den. Bubblepaw's eyes were wide with shock and her fur fluffed out in fear. It was the first time she had seen a dead cat since their mother died... Riptidepaw's composure was different. His fur was spiked slightly, his eyes wide with grief and shock, but otherwise he was motionless and still. Almost stoic.

Otterkit pulled away from Mossfall as she heard Sandyshore. She padded out into the clearing, her eyes suddenly shifted to her mother's body in the middle of camp. She watched as Gullsight and Currentstorm licked her wounds. Why did she have to leave me? Why did she have to go get prey... Otterkit slowly moved closer to the two warriors.

Sandyshore followed the little kits gently. "Go say by to your mother Otterkit..... I'm sorry." she mewed griefully.

* She let Otterkit walk out to her mothers body and didn't say anything. She watched with a gentle gaze. Even though Honeymoon was gone Otterkit could always come to her for comfort. The shy and quiet she-cat gone and replaced by the soft and motherly figure she was now. *

Sandyshore kept her head bowed in pain as she watched Otterkit whom she'd suckled, and Honeymoon in which shed grown a close relationship with.
Oceanstar stood from beside Mossfall, going to Sandyshore and placing his muzzle on her ear gently, murmuring words of comfort as he gently stroked her side with his tail. "It'll be ok..... Otterkit has you and Mossfall......."

Sandyshore blinked gently, "You'll see her again darling, but it'll be a long while.. Mommy's gone to a very nice place called Starclan, it's where cats that have passed away went.. mommy did pass away but that doesn't stop her from loving and caring and watching over you..... mommy is watching over you and loving you no matter where you are alright?" Sandyshore mewed softly. Licking the kits ears softly, "We are all here for you..... I promised your mother i'd protect you and that's what I will do."

* She looked to Oceanstar and Sandyshore and then over to Otterkit. She still had tears in her eyes and watched with sadness. She hoped that Honeymoon had a gentle welcome into Starclan. *
