"Sure. Since your too lazy show a example. Leafpaw said. She stalked the mouse slowly, making sure her tail didn't make noise. She pounced on the mouse clumsily, accidentally crushing the mouse on her side. She got up quickly and bit it, making sure it was dead. "At least I caught it." She said with a smile.

"You also disturbed other prey." Antlernose remarked with a carefree grin. Who did this young'n think she was calling the other lazy? Though it was true, Antler found herself annoyed by it.

"Well I fell. I couldn't help it" Leafpaw said with a shrug. Her eyes were filled with excitement instead of regret though. It was her first catch!

Antlernose rolled her eyes once again. "I'll teach you some tricks, since I am your mentor." The brown molly said ,licking a paw.."When you're hunting a mouse, make sure to put all your weight on your haunches."

Walking and talking was definitely a good decision, on her part. It helped to clear her mind a bit, much more than standing around awkwardly did. She could at least breathe more freely again. Quillpaw seemed to be more at ease as well, she noticed, which made it even better. Dawnsong chuckled easily when Quillpaw spoke, happy she was asking questions and finding humor in what the apprentice said. "I don't think anyone could smell of wind. It smells of so many things itself. But soil?--" She paused to think about it for a moment, side-noting to slow her pace for her short-legged companion. Looking down at her when Quillpaw spoke again, Dawnsong nodded, smiling. "Then it must be so." Who was she to question other warriors?
She walked in silence for a few more steps, enjoying the warmth of the sunlight as it flooded through the trees limbs. A breeze ruffled her ebony pelt suddenly, leaving an idea with it. "Speaking of the wind," she said as she stepped over a twig, "Let's test your nose! The next breeze that comes by, tell me what scents you can catch."

Thistledown rolled, and twisted, sending his back paw raking thin air and coming to rest on his own four feet again, panting. It had been ages since he and Ambercloud have trained together. His former mentor had been absent, the cat he had had feelings for vanished. Even his brother seemed to be too busy for him these days. Hissing through his teeth, he clawed at a frozen clump or heather hard even to upturn some of its roots and send a spray of dust into his own eyes. "Foxdung!" he swore, pawing at his own face to try and clear his vision.

Sheerpaw frowned, standing up. He wished that he could be training with his mentor instead of this kit.
"Hey, I want to get to training with my mentor..." Sheerpaw began.

Patchpaw nervously slipped out of the den, her tail slightly quivering, as though she was cold, or scared.
She slinked over to a small pile of moss the other apprentices have gathered for Daydream and she sheepishly picked up a small mouthful. She then looked around for a puddle of some sort and soaked the moss it in. Her eyes met with the fresh kill pile and the rabbit that strange warrior spoke of was there, she glanced around and saw nobody around so she thought it would be okay to take it, and so she placed the moss near the den and then grabbed and dragged the rabbit just inside the entrance, soon followed by the water-soaked moss.

A little while later Patchpaw returned with the rabbit and then the wet moss, "here I got what you wanted," she mewed, nervously as she wasn't sure if she was interrupting.
