Bitterthorn dipped out into the territory, carefully carrying the bodies of Tawnykit and Spottedkit by their scruff. They would bury them not too far from camp. Far enough from the ocean so they wouldn't get washed up with time and deep enough so that they wouldn't be dug up by some mangy animal. Calmly, quietly, with a heavyweight on their chest. A purpose in every movement and moment of silent mourning before moving on. Sometime between burying the kits and returning to camp, they would find their way over to Bubblingbee, eyes narrowed and filled with unbridled rage.

"I know you have some personal vendetta against the world and you just hate everything and anyone and feel the need to put everyone else down just to make yourself better but I wasn't aware you were completely lacking in any feline decency, too." they hissed, tail lashing violently and fur bristling. Seeing the elder with any sort of ruffle in their feathers was a rare occasion but seeing them this angry was unheard of.

As soon as he approached the collapsed tunnel, confusion completely overwhelmed him. How was he even supposed to dig for Sootpaw? He'd never bothered to learn, because he'd figured he'd never have to learn. But now here he was, volunteering to dig a cat out of a collapsed tunnel. Was he crazy? More than likely, he'd do more harm than good!
He stared blankly at the collapsed entrance for a few moments, then shook his head and set his jaw. No, he would NOT chicken out on this one. "Sootpaw, it's Goosepaw," he called, though he had no idea if the other apprentice could hear him or not. "Stay where you are, okay? We're going to get you out." He just hoped he sounded more confident than he felt.
Goosepaw sat back to survey the pile of dirt and rocks. Maybe if they started at the softest, less compact spots, and moved on to the places that were harder to dig afterward, it would make it a little easier. Wait, no, he was being an idiot - if they didn't want Sootpaw getting hit in the head, they'd have to move the stones first. "O-okay, uh, start with the rocks and stones and things," he stammered, placing a paw on top of a small stone and rolling it to the side. "Keep them away from the entrance, and then we can start actually digging. I-I think."

She nodded at Goosepaw, pleased his thinker was working at this moment. She unsheathed her claws to loosen a few stones, but to no avail.

"That would be great, maybe push on the harder to reach stones so we can take down the pile easier! If we can get the loose stones, then the stones you're pushing on, we can get you out in no time!" She pulled out a few loose stones, nodding and placing them to the side as she went along.

Bubblingbee glanced at them,”Kits are sent by the Dark Forest....They are awful.”she meowed as she dropped Perchkit on the ground near the burial spot not even gently setting the kit down

"Yeah, it's me," he confirmed. "Good idea, Sootpaw. Just be careful, okay? If something looks like it's going to fall, just get out of the way. Don't worry about catching it." He pulled another stone away from the rubble and shoved it away from the entrance.

He smiled . "alright " he meowed . if only I could reach the higher ones.... inhaling and letting out a long sigh. He backed up on the cold surface but not too far. He looked over his shoulder because of slight paranoia , it's common to not like darkness right?? Atleast in places like this.. Gulping, he ran at the barrier only to fling himself at the highest rocks he could possibly reach "hiyaaa!"he whispered and landed on them only to push himself off hard. Landing a bit clumsily, he looked up and noticed some were sliding out! He grinned success! "did it work for you guys? You should've seen me! It was awesome!"

“You’re the only awful one here, Bubblingbee,” they snarled, their anger only growing as the other elder unceremoniously dropped Perchkit’s body on the ground, “Perchkit is the only cat you seem to have cared about here and you still treat his body as if he was nothing! Have you no respect?”

With a huff they shoved past the other elder to begin digging another grave. They were even more meticulous with this one as if to make up for Bubblingbee’s failings. Gently grabbing his body by the scruff and lowering him into the ground before covering him with dirt. Not a single glance in Bubbling’s direction as they did so. This burial would not be ruined by her. They whipped around to face the elder once more when they were done.

“You’re a disgrace to this clan. You never have been and never will be anything more than that.” They hissed.

Snowpaw was carrying duckpaw back to camp, with the help of Salmonsong. When they got back to camp, she gently set the apprentice down and mewed, "should we take her to the medicine cat den first, or tell Lionstar what happened?"

Creekleap waited patiently in riverclan territory, she felt her heart pumping quickly in anxiety for the young apprentice.

Snailriver was mildly dumbstruck. He was not used to another cat so willingly flirting with himself and to top it off, flirting with Sassafrasfire as well. He was embarrassed, just like Sassafras was he assumed. He'd lost all interest in fishing now. He wanted to try to get back again when it came to Ternsky. The she-cat had upped them twice now and he was not exactly happy with that fact. So he looked back at Sassafras, trying to slowly communicate with them that Tern shouldn't be allowed to get away with this. He did want to see how the other would react to Ternsky's obvious teasing, he himself was simply dumbfounded. Did he find her pretty? Had he ever found anyone pretty? He didn't know. He didn't even know what it was to like anyone. Or maybe he had experienced that? He didn't really know what any of those things felt like. Was it similar to the sense of camaraderie that he shared with these two cats? He assumed so and replied to Tern. "Ah.. I think your pretty. But I am not sure about our friend Sassa here thinks about that and... Well you could be prettier my friend. You're missing a few hairs, there there and there." He pointed with his tail at Ternsky's scars that he assumed she'd gotten from fights. "Add in some white hairs and you'll be ready to retire."

Sassafrasfire stares at Ternsky, puzzled by having to explain such a basic idea to her. They meant it well though. There was no mocking tone to their voice, and no teasing glint in their eyes. When she goes on to suggest their staring, they blink, taken aback. "Staring?"


"I'm not staring." They look away, casting a look to Snailriver, almost as if for help. They were definitely not staring... But as they stand there, water lapping gently at their paws, they begin to feel warm and squeamish. Oh goodness this wasn't a nice feeling at all. "You-" They seem to have a difficult time finding their words again to respond, and wind up letting Snailriver pitch his own idea of her attractiveness himself while they think of what to say. "You are, from a physical point of view, rather visually attractive. You have qualities that appeals to other cats, such as Snailriver and myself, and such physical attributes... They... Have been duly noted." With a finalizing nod, they seemed to be content with such a reply to Ternsky, although their pelt was still uncomfortably warm. Was it the sun? Maybe a dip in the water would help.

Inteeeeeeerestiiiinnng..... Ternsky thought to herself as both cats responded to her “accusation” of their attraction towards her. Ternsky had always been quite the forward cat, so starting off right away with saying cats found her attractive wasn’t out of character for her. The molly just realized she’d never really done it with any other cats. Who else did she tease about finding her attractive? No one, clearly. Maybe I should try it. Test some things out... But Ternsky felt as if it wouldn’t be the same. She was a little annoyed with Snailriver’s reply, she’d been wanting something genuine and honest from both cats. But she’d weasel it out of him sooner or later. Clearly he was more on the shy end when it came to addressing what he found attractive and not. Noted. But Ternsky found Sassafrasfire’s reply both thrilling and adorable all at once. Said perfectly in a way that only Sassafrasfire could say it.
”Duly noted huh?” She purred, placing a paw under her chin as she leaned forward on it, head tilted slightly. ”I suppose you’re storing those notes for.... future reference?” She meowed, putting emphasis on the last two words.
Ternsky then turned her head towards Snailriver, giving him a mock pout. “You know Snailriver, I’m actually quite younger than you, so... just think about that.” She snickered, before shaking out her pelt a bit and standing. “You need to take notes from Sassafrasfire though on how to properly tell a girl you find her attractive. Because your way just doesn’t cut it, I’m sorry.” She gave a shrug of her shoulders as she cast a smile towards the tom, before leaping down from the rock to prance around him. “Here, I shall demonstrate.” Then, putting on her best copycat expression of Sassafrasfire’s “serious face,” Ternsky proceeded to speak. “Snailriver, there are many physical aspects of you that I find particularly attractive. And let’s just say, wrapped all up in one you could be considered a fine hunk of a cat worthy of my attention.” Ternsky couldn’t hold the face much longer though, and ended up bursting out laughing, so hard that tears began forming on the edges of her eyes. Oh she was having wayyy too much fun with this. Whirling around to focus her wide orange eyes on Sassafrasfire, Ternsky gave a dazzling smile. “Would you like me to demonstrate for you as well Sassafras?”
