Deadpaw couldn't hold in a small sort of her own as he asked if she was sure that cats didn't like her. Yes, she was fairly certain, and she didn't think any amount of being nice was going to change that. After all, it hadn't when she had tried as a kit, not in all the times she was nice to her sister, nice to her mother, it hadn't worked. In fact, all the cats she had tried being nice to had eventually forgotten her, or downright despised her now. But she supposed she had to answer the question, and though her face pinched into a scowl as she responded she mewed Yes, I KNOW that not a lot of cats like me. It's fairly obvious when they tell you the only good thing you could do would be to go disappear! In her mind, that was about the clearest message you could send.

His next words made her feel a little better, at least it wasn't only her that would always have a cat despise them. If every cat was like that, it made it a bit better. At least she wasn't the only one who would be miserable. Effort was hard, but it seemed like the key factor in being liked, so Deadpaw supposed she would have to give it. Breezefeather's next words brought a genuine smile to her face, not the most pleasing of smiles because of how little it was used, but a smile. He liked her. He liked her. That was more than anyone had ever really come out and said, aside from Nightpaw anyway. And he had stopped talking to her. Although she wasn't sure what he meant by her being interesting. Was it bad to be interesting? Was that how adult cats said "strange" and "weird"? And she blurted her question, bluntly. What do you mean I'm interesting? Is there something.....wrong with me? With being interesting? Her ears pricked for his response, smile leaving her face. @Arie (ARG, I'm so sorry! I am a mess!)

Padding over to the thankfully friendly-looking Hailpaw, Thornpaw was quite ready to head out. She was feeling unusually chipper this morning, and it wouldn't be a bad thing to start off the day actually being useful. After all, she certainly didn't want to be dead weight in the clan. Prove Russetpaw wrong or something like that. Nodding to Weaselskip and Hailpaw, she fell into the back of the small group, not wanting to get in the way or anything. @Arie @Estelle

A deadpan expression formed on her face as Parasite commented. He didn't seem to understand the whole 'I'm not going to be around forever' bit. He couldn't be her apprentice forever, he had to grow up at some point in time. If she thought about it honestly, Twilightstar relationship would change all that much with him. She'd bet he'd still find ways to pester her and drive her insane. Hopefully, he found a mate one day to deal with that. He looked disheartened at first, but that peabrain of his seemed to come up with some idea that made the whole thing better? The lilac she-cat wasn't going to even try and figure that out what he was thinking about.
Gullpaw's utter lack of enthusiasm made her roll her eyes. Did she not want to become a warrior? Twilightstar had no problems leaving her for another moon, if she didn't want to be a warrior.
"If you don't want to be a warrior, I have no problem leaving you for another moon and finding you a new mentor, Gullpaw." The she-cat scowled, she wasn't going to waste her time with an apprentice who just wanted to get it over for the hell of it.
"If you can find at least six guardians in total, that will be more than enough." She replied to Weaselskip, almost troubled. It was sad when Weaselskip was suddenly known as the 'responsible' cat.

Gullpaw didn’t mean for it to come off as disrespectful, it was more she just could care less,” I mean, what’s the difference, warrior apprentice. Just get told what to do, it’s just a new name and den. I just imagined when I was ready there would be someone who would care, that’s all.” she meowed flicking her tail. She might as well get this inevitable fate over with. No one would care when she became a warrior, just the polite cheer of her clanmates, but what would that matter. Becoming a warrior was suppose to be special, but it was just going to be another day for her, do her job and sleep, just a few minutes of pretending to be excited and it’d be back to work.

She might've been able to play it off as cool and collected but... that was over now, as a grin spread over Weaselskip's face and the grey molly replied with, "Aye, Aye Captain. I'll get that done right away..." or maybe first she would take a nap. Two had already approached her and that brought it up to a total of four although where Rockstone was she honestly had no clue. They might've gone for a trip... who was she to know. But Weaselskip left, to take a nap or to recruit more, who would know.

Ooo. Twiggy was frustrated with Gullpaw. The rolling eyes - something Stagpaw took a certain pride in causing - made the apprentice direct his gaze upon the other cat, somehow managing to completely ignore the new deputy that was still... toooooo scary for Stagpaw to look at properly, and under his breath he whispered, eyes directed at the old cat, "Oldie," but focused back onto Gullpaw. "You mean... you don't care about becoming a warrior? But it'll be AWESOME! and sad of course cause I've got to leave Twiggy and all but like, you can do on adventures ALONE and can go hang around the cliffs!" At the mention of cliffs he glanced at Twiggy and maybe... maybe it'd not been the smartest to name the cliffs in front of Twiggy... that might've been a bad idea.

This seemed like a disaster. The newly named Deputy just stared as the grey molly departed, arrogance and swagger clear in her walk and he was unable to help the narrowing of his green eyes. The fact that their safety was in her hands to an extent? Breezefeather could for sure understand that Twilightstar needed someone who at least had a semi-functional brain, especially since it seemed a baby was about to be made a warrior although the apprentice looked around 10 moons... he most definitely did not act it. And nope, there was the name calling and he just rolled his eyes, gaze resting upon the molly who didn't care about being a warrior. Moving so his tail rested on her shoulder he looked down at her briefly, "Light up a bit. Some doesn't make it to become a warrior and you should be happy and luck you get here. Twilightstar has given you an offer, and that means that she does care that you've come so far. The clan does care cause new warriors means a prospering clan."

He smiled then said

A bright smile flashed on Puddlesplash’s face. Hey, looks like they’d found something in common, no matter how trivial it was. “I like green as well. My favorite is more of a darker type of green, kind of like the shade of moss that grows on the rocks and roots of trees. But grassy green is great too!” Hm... what was another little fun fact he could ask about? Aha! “How about your favorite battle move?”

Another patrol?

Green eyes lit up as she heard her name called. Snailspark noticed she was getting put on more patrols than usual, and it was a fact worth smiling about. Since, she has gotten better on patrols. She recalled some of her first patrols feeling a bit scary - and she was an older apprentice/young warrior by then!

She stepped back to look through the crowd of cats for Coyotepaw and Adderpaw. She spotted her own apprentice quickly and padded over to her. Not long after she spotted Adderpaw, and signaled to her that they were over here.

"Are guys ready?" Snailspark shifted her paws as she waited for a response from both of the apprentices.

"Alright. I'll give you something challenging." Snailspark took a moment to pause and back up a bit. She saw the pure excitement in Coyotepaw's eyes. "I'm not so sure how hard this will be for you, but from experience, this is a tricky move to learn."

"I'll demonstrate this first, then list steps." The molly swiftly slid down on her back and held her arm out to simulate the move. It was a tad harder since there was no cat to practice on. "What i did there was, first: slide under the 'cat.' Second: 'scratch' the belly of the cat. Oh! And a third step that I did not get to demonstrate. This is common knowledge, but make sure to get up quickly so they opponent can't get you." She nodded and hoped that Coyotepaw had gotten all that.

"Here. Practice on me." She quickly repositioned her stance to make it slightly easier for the apprentice. She didn't know how well she would do- considering that this was her first official combat training -but she'd just make modifications in case.

Cricketpaw parted her jaw to get a whiff of the scents. She used her nose as well to find any prey. It took her a while, but she finally scented the rabbit. "There's a scent of rabbit.", she meowed. The apprentice wanted to dart after it, but she decided not to. It wasn't a cricket, so she would remain calm for now until she had to catch it.

Omenscratch was surprised they hadn't learned anything yet. Whoever was his mentor sucked at their job didn't they? That was going to change. He would train this apprentice to e the best warrior ever. He wasn't strict at all and really didn't want to be that non-fun mentor. What cat wanted a boring mentor. "Well today thats going to change.", he meowed with a smile. Omenscratch would start with hunting first. "Now show me your best hunters crouch.", he meowed with excited enthusiasm.
