Leappaw was sitting quietly in the clearing, just watching their clan move about. They weren't looking for anyone in paticular, but when they saw Brightpaw, their heart seemed to be happy. Yes, they had a crush on them. ( @Saltyteardrops, want them to intereact?)

He was, in truth, quite tired of being out of the loop. It was true, that he'd not been in the rank for very long, still only a few sunrises at best. The patrols were still busy and it wasn't like he was expecting them back yet, he had been very clear that they needed to report back to him and that he was going to be harsh if they didn't do so in time. Nevertheless, he had to do something with this out of the loop issue, and not wanting to bother Twilightstar right at this moment - feeling better that other sources could likely provide info that the leader had not yet gotten her hand on - he spotted a certain point coloured cat... one that he vastly remembered ordering patrols around and it puzzled him. Why would such a young cat be doing it? and how did they believe they had the authority to do so? Not often did the youngest take charge, and although he didn't mind it, the fact that said young cat had not bothered to fill him in at all, it did frustrate him. He was named the deputy after all, Twilightstar trusted him with the clan and therefore he would have to be aware of all on goings. At least he knew about that dog, which at least proved to be worth something; and maybe that would be something that the leader would appreciate.

So, focused green eyes, the silver tom made his way over, trying his best to fluff up his short and small frame. He might hold the rank of deputy but his body was that of a typical Windclan cat, small, lithe and slender. "Creekdash, I remember you assigned patrols. As a member of the clan, and I, as your deputy, I need to know what is going on, and I am somewhat dissapointed that you've yet to find it necessary to inform me of how those patrols went. I would like to know that how those patrols have gone and if there were any potential things there need to be observed. It might have slipped your mind but, I am the new deputy and things are supposed to be reported to me. Not just Twilightstar; as both of us are responsible for the clan's safety. Although I do appreciate your help, it now falls to me."

Creekdash sat up as Breezefeather came over, eyes widening. He probably didn't understand the full story of what was going on, and he couldn't blame the new deputy. It was good he was doing this either way. Creekdash would rather have a deputy that wanted to stay in the loop than one who didn't try to at least."Oh of course!" He meowed, a little bit of shock but, calming down as he composed himself. "So, as you know, I had sent out some hunting patrols a couple weeks ago. I had reported in to Twilightstar after no one except Snailspark had reported in. And the patrols were for an event I was planning but, I wasn't able to do it because we didn't have another prey. And either way, I had procrastinated too much. Which of course was my fault, and I'm working on getting that under control." Creekdash was being a chatterbox at the moment. "But, Rosebriar reported in a couple days ago, which Echowind was leading that specific patrol which quite annoyed me but, it'd made more sense to me that she would report back to me instead of you because I knew where the patrols had gone n all. And then I reported back to Twilightstar just with that little information. Almost everyone didn't report back in which was very disappointing, and Hawkstride never showed up for her patrol with her past apprentice because didn't Quiverpaw get reassigned a new mentor?" His explaination had gone literally all over the place. And had been talking quiet fast during it. Hopefully Breezefeather was able to keep up. "Oh and congratulations on your new position, I don't think I ever got to tell you it personally but, I believe you'll do great as deputy. Twilightstar made a great choice." He smiled. Contrary to what others may think, he was geniunely just saying congrats. Not trying to get on the toms good or bad side, though he wouldn't prefer to be the bad side. But, if Breezefeather didn't like him, that was fine, he wouldn't particularly care a lot even though he would...

Lionpaws ears perked up almost immediately when she heard her name. Wow, her first patrol! Well, not really, since it was just a herb collecting patrol, but she was still excited! Bouncing cheerily over to her Eldmento and Falconflight, she beamed at her mentor, her tail waving in the air, ¨Eldmentor, Im ready to go! Im gonna bring back so much herbs, Coldmeddie wont know what to do with them!¨ she exclaimed, bouncing in a circle around her mentor. Falconspirit purred in amusement. "Very lively apprentice you've got," he said to Eldersky. "Now, where's mine? Cricketpaw! We're going on a patrol!" he called.

Okay... the kid was speaking and giving an explanation but what he did not offer, and what rubbed Breezefeather's fur the wrong way, was that Creekdash never said why he didn't report these patrol failures to Breezefeather himself, instead of going directly to Twilighstar. The deputy was aware that the leader needed to know, but if information was not passed through him first, he doubted he'd even get to hear about it until it was suddenly used to prove a point about his lack of knowledge about the clan. "Yes. Okay, but you have yet to explain why you went directly to Twilightstar and not to me. I need to know this as well, and if I have to go around and hunt clanmates down for this information that is vital to the clan's survival during leafbare, are you really doing any better than those cats who did not report in their patrols?" Creekdash it seemed had proceeded to contract his own statement.

Also the event... was that something similar to the prey social that had been hosted earlier? That.. seemed like a ridiculously stupid idea, at least to the silver tom who'd experienced starvation at its finest, with an overflow of prey, which of course was good but it would not be benefit the clan if they thinned out their prey already before the cold season had yet to start fully. There were 3 harsh moons ahead of them, where starvation would most likely be an issue but he did always have a small plan to tackle that. "I appreciate your congratulations but it is not what I would need, what I do need is straight out honesty with you. We're clanmates and you should be able to trust me, and similarly I should be able to trust you to report in anything you think is a potential danger. We're not just a clan with a leader, but a deputy now and I need to stay in the loop to do my job, which is taking care of you all. And since you do believe I would make such a great deputy, I would like if my tasks are left for me to do. I might just be settling into my role and thank you for taking care of things previously but I like to think I've got a handle on it now."

He was watching the entrance to the camp when out of his eye he spotted Snailswirl hurrying across the clearing towards what looked like Twilightstar's den. Deciding to investigate into whatever this was, he stood up and headed over, long legs quickly covering the space and they gently gestured to the younger, clearly distressed cat. "Snailswirl? What's wrong? Do you need any help?" It had to be serious if the medicine cat apprentice was that up and running and Breezefeather was unable to help the cold freezing feeling that was running through his veins. Hadn't there been talk about a white cough? or was it greencough? outbreak in Windclan? Was this the news or was it something less but just as serious? He couldn't help but wonder but he gestured to the younger cat to sit down for a brief moment and take in a few breaths. If they needed help Breezefeather would be totally willing to offer it but he needed to know what it was first.

Wait- he didn't mention that he had given these out before Breezefeather was deputy? He did vaguely but not enough to give good context but, Breezefeather was being a little rude about this. Yes he understood how vital this was but not doing anything more to help the clan? He hunted a lot, mostly because that was what he was best at. And he had given Twilightstar ideas on how to store the freshkill. Standing up, clearly a little annoyed, "Okay, I understnad that your annoyed that I didn't report back to you but, I reported straight to Twilightstar because the first time I had reported in was a week before you were deputy. I had told Twilightstar all of the details since she didn't have you as her deputy yet." He was being very clear. "And then, when I reported back to her about Rosebriar, it would make no sense to go to you when I had already reported to Twilightstar before. And you would have absolutely no context of it rather than Rosebriar reported really late. And I hope that Twilightstar would keep you into the loop but, if you feel out of it, then you should go talk to her about it. And for your information, I hunt almost everyday since it's what I'm best at." He took a step closer. "I love WindClan and I would do anything to help it. My idea for the event was to be a kit play day with a prey social. To get the clan more connected and hopefully raise spirits and motivation before leafbare. As you can see, I wasn't able to do that. And you can talk to Twilightstar about my ideas for the fresh kill storage." He had gotten more and more on the defensive as he had talked. And had ended up pinning his ears back at the end. Everything he had done had been in good nature, and he was pissed that Breezefeather was making it sound like he hadn't done anything!

Omenscratch padded out of the territory, leading his apprentice out of camp. He had wanted to know what all that he knew. He didn't want to teach Robinpaw the things he already knew. Once they were farther out of camp he stopped and turned to the apprentice. "I brought you out here to see where I need to start on your training. What all have you learned?", he asked. Omenscratch was ready to listen.

the lightly colored apprentice followed omenscratch obediently, although he occasionally started bouncing and skipping around instead of walking so he’d stay entertained. at the question, robinpaw thought back on his training for a second … before realizing he’d had almost none. “aa. about that… i don’t think i’ve had any real training! i mean, there was that raid, and that practice raid, and i went in both of those, but i was kinda just goin’ with the flow and doin’ what i thought was best in those, so i haven’t actually gotten any training!” he hoped that was okay. after all, he’d had some battle experience, just not.. any battle training, nor any other training.

Sparkfrost dipped his head respectfully as the deputy approached, “Good morning, Breezefeather,” He mewed, cyan eyes bright and attentive, “We were just discussing the dog that attacked me near our border with ThunderClan.” He stood up tall, hoping that his healing injury wasn’t terribly obvious, “If you believe it’s worth investigating, Sagebrook and I were thinking about returning to the site of the attack to be sure that the dog had not returned.” The young warrior explained, “What do you think?”
