Willowkit woke up with a start. She was in the nursery and everyone was bustling along around her. She looked around hoping to find someone to talk to, or even better, to play with.

Snailswirl turned around and was relieved to see that he still had a couple flowers around his nest.
He picked a few up between his teeth and set them in front of Whitewolf and Tripleaf. You both seem like wonderful cats! He meowed as he lifted his head back up. So you can have a few flowers that I picked yesterday!
He loved to collect flowers and give them to cats. It was just a weird hobby of his. In this pile there were some small clovers and a few dandelions.

Fiercekit came into the nursery and saw that Willowkit was looking around. He padded his tiny paws over and sat next to them.
"H-hello" he said shyly
"Would you like to play a game? I haven't really gotten to know everyone yet, and you seem alone over here." Fiercekit said with a small smile.

Willowkit gave Fiercekit a wide smile.
“ Hello! Yes I would love to! I’m Willowkit and you’re Fiercekit correct? “ she breathed excitedly.
She pulled herself out of her nest and gave herself a quick shake. Her tail waving excitedly, she crouched playfully.
“ What should we play?! Hide and seek? A play fight? Should we try to attack one of the warriors??” Her eyes sparkled mischievously.

Willowkit gave a giggle.
“ Yes we could! I’ve been practicing with my father, Oakfur, and i know how to sneak up! I could teach you!” She squeaked excitedly.
(I can have one of my cats play the warrior they sneak up on lol)

“ First if I need to see your crouch. This is what it’s meant to look like!”
Willowkit lowered herself into a low crouch, her tail swinging wildly behind her. It was by no means a perfected croutch, but for a kit it wasn’t bad.
“ Make sure your paws are underneath you! And when you move forwards go slowly!”
She crept forward, wobbling a bit to the side.
“ Okay you try!”

Emberpaw limped into the apprentice’s den, careful not to bump her shoulder against any interior lining. It ached. Bad, but not so bad she was wiling to make a fuss about it. If Ember went to the medicine cat den for something like this, just imagine all the insults that would invite! She’d admit to being a sniveling kittypet, built weaker, more delicate than the rest of them. Nope. No way. Emberpaw wouldn’t have any of it.
No one had to know about this.
Besides… it was fine, right? What Ember could see of it wasn’t that bad. Scrapes, a little blood. A flesh wound that would go away soon enough. It just stung a little was all…Emberpaw winced the first time she tried to lick the raw area and quickly gave up. Maybe she shouldn’t have tried that jump between those low-hanging branches on her way back from gathering moss…
Curling up into a nest gingerly, the little Calico shut her eyes tight. Maybe falling asleep would keep her mind off the rhythmic throb…if she could manage it.
