I… what are we doing?
The tom stepped forward slightly, taking a deep breath. “I do not think that we are acting rationally. Maybe it is the tensions from RiverClan that are causing us to not think with our actual heads.
Now I don’t know what some… warriors… like Albatrossflare must be feeling this, and it has got to their brain.” He continued. “But with these attitudes, we will only make things worse.
I think that we are forgetting our priorities to our Clan and our code in the midst of the chaos. Maybe I have as well. However, I believe that whatever state we’re in, we have to take a moment to remember what we are really aiming for. Is it just pure rage and vengeance? Is it set for accusations on innocent cats who did nothing? Or… is it… just what we believe is right? I do not think we can move on like this. What would StarClan - our own ancestors who sent our medicine cat this omen - say? I think we need to learn from what happened to Whitewolf, Albatrossflare and those RiverClan cats. We need to figure things out on our own. Where do we want our loyalties to lie? With our selfish, angry selves, or with StarClan, as it has always been?”
He stepped back. “I just think we have to remember what we believe in.”

“Thank you, Sunclaw! That is what I am saying as well! The main problems with war are gonna be if we lose we could be wiped out. On the other side, they could be wiped out and no one wants that on their conscious. Next, we would be assigning blame to the blameless, so shirking responsibility, then there’s rogue attacks post war when we are weakest, starclan probably hates this, we could both be wiped out, and oh, every single murderous Riverclan cat is dead, so we would just be lording our power over Riverclan, and there could be deserters. Also, we are leader and deputyless. There could be infighting, rebellion, traitors, and other animals such as foxes and badgers, and other household pests.” He explained tirelessly.

WHAT! She heard the words of iciclepaw and she rushed in. Seeing the warriors eyes open and alert. Made her start crying. Dont you ever do that ever again! She said over her tear running face and whines. She loved whitewolf. Whitewolf was family.

Re: The Thunderwillow
;Ravenstorm and Sunkit;
The Warrior's mind raced with the omen. River of red. River of red. Rivers weren't red.
She bashed her head against her paw. Focus. Your sleep can wait, Ravenstorm. Attempting again. Chaos. Justice. Chaos and Justice to spread. It sounds bad, her mind remarked. She growled, then thought again, Sunkit looking up at her, kind of confused at the commotion.
River of red. Chaos and justice to spread. River of red...

Huh.. the she-cat quickly turns around at the mention of her name- oh dear,, The break without much inquires hadn't lasted long,,, it seemed at least. Glancing at the apprentice, Iciclepaw noticed that her right eye was badly scratched,,, "Come in- please, sit down. What happened?" She doesn't wait for a response though to begin putting on the marigold and single cobweb over top. [ -1 cobweb, -1 marigold]
Iciclepaw nods to Pinewatch as she brought in the prey, but just conutinues soaking and squeezing the water out of the moss onto the older she-cat. Did the heat have something to do with it.., ..
Oh stars!! She was alive- wait,, no!! "Ple- please Whitewolf, nothings your fault. I want to eat this squirrel, and rest here for a little while.,, "
|
SpottedPaw Sat down and sighed. "So there was a loner in ThunderClan territory. A Big cat- bigger than me- Maybe bigger than two of me stacked-"
Her tail swished
"And I followed him and he noticed me. He Lunged at me and I was to slow to dodge and he pounced on me, then slashed my eye out as I kicked him off. Then he lunged back at me again and kept slamming me against the tree... I Think I passed out because when I woke up he was gone... I Could hardly move to bring myself up, and when I did, I couldn't keep balance and hardly make it to camp" She Scuffed her paws on the ground and flicked her ears

Hawkice cocked his head. What had Thunderclan done? He wondered. As far as he knew it was only Riverclan causing the trouble. He didn't want to pick sides or call their only high rank wrong.

Re: The Thunderwillow
// @Panda1440, @OhZeeWolf, @~Fox~
>Albatrossflare<Ah, there it was. Whitewolf's attempted deliverance of justice. He rolled his shoulders as she spoke, and rose to his paws when she finished. Of course she would not tell the whole story, but how could she when she refused to understand it? It was baffling. And as Thunderchaser directed her angry toward him, he gave her a dismissive glance before looking away.
"You act as if I intended to hide this," he started with a shrug. "I would have told Eveningstar had he been here - I have done nothing wrong and in turn have nothing to hide. But if you believe an explanation is needed, that is fine. Whitewolf tells not the whole truth, after all.
Some of you seem to have forgotten that Lionstorm murdered four of our cats in cold blood. There is a balance of life in this world and it is StarClan's job to keep that balance, but of course, they cannot always keep up with the goings-on of the living world. And so some of us must take it into our own paws to help them along. In this case, it was I who took it upon myself.
Whitewolf tells you that I was merciless, but that could not be more false. If I had wanted to withhold mercy, I would have made her suffer. She died instantly. Lionstorm killed four of us - with he and Petuniaflame's lives, the balance is half-way restored." He spoke in a monotone voice, his expression displaying disinterest, as if this bored him.
"Of course it pained me to take the life of such a young cat, but she chose her fate, and the stars have given her a place in the brightest spot in the sky in honor of her sacrifice. They will do the same for the others." And there would be others. Two more, in fact. And then his job would be done.
He sat down, explanation finished. Stars, he hated speaking that much. It made him sound like some sort of pretentious fool.

Re: The Thunderwillow
@finnzel @Shade.
Cloverkit was blissfully unaware of what was happening for the most part. "YEAH!" The meowed out loudly towards Sagekit, giving a harsh nod. "THE BIG CATS ARE CLUMSY, " If anyone of them DARED to 'step' around their siblings Cloverkit was PREPARED to give them a merciless warning.
Their gaze flickered away from their sibling for a moment and back to... Icicleripple? That was her name! Maybe they didn't like the names but that was a pretty name. Very pretty. The kit did struggle to make out her words. Some of the parts where she stuttered would get completely missed by Cloverkit. Eveningstar -- the nice big cat -- and Sunhowl -- bigcat 2.0 -- were missing they figured out. "Oh.. oh no, " Cloverkit whispered quietly under their breath. Cats were beginning to get upset.
And then Icicleripple gave a prophecy that made Cloverkit's blood run cold. So many things were happening that they couldn't make sense of. They took a step in front of Sagekit and Rosekit, trying to nudge them to behind them. So many cats were .. talking. About an Albatrossflare and a Whitewolf.. Petiunaflame? It was making Cloverkit's head hurt. They couldn't keep up with it at this point. "What's - what's going on?" They asked, their fur rising up in defense.

Rosekit didn't understand everything, but she knew these cats were distressed. A heavy feeling rose in her stomach. Just as they joined this group, cataclism seemed to happen. And she knew disaster struck wherever she went. Was it her fault? was she putting her siblings in danger? The two of them would probably lead comfortable lives here without her. Maybe if they'd left her behind, everything here would be alright and the universe's misfortune would be focused on her far away from here. She realized Ast- Cloverkit was scared and reached out a paw to comfort them but then quickly pulled it away. Better not touch them, she was no good at helping. She was useless.

Re: The Thunderwillow
[ @Papaya ]
[ @Panda1440 ]
It had begun with a story--the truth from the perspective of one--something that seemed to gradually change the way ThunderClan as a whole saw RiverClan. Whitewolf expected some of her clanmates to see her as RiverClan sympathizers; she welcomed that sentiment, in fact. She'd been a loyal ThunderClan Warrior for several years--they could try her all they wanted.
It didn't surprise her to learn that Albatrossflare had learned nothing from killing Petuniaflame. And what was that last sentence? Did he seriously plan to kill more of them? Her muzzle contorting in fury, Whitewolf rounded on him with her teeth bared.
"The act of killing an innocent cat is merciless in of itself," spat Whitewolf. As she spoke she normally would have realized how she looked to the rest of ThunderClan when provoked--a massive, bristling beast--but the anger clouding her mind made her forget herself. "You are a murderer, Albatrossflare, and an oathbreaker. Your own words condemn you better than I or Icicleripple ever could."
Standing firm, she looked to Icicleripple. "You're fortunate that your punishment is out of my paws."

Re: ThunderClan Medicine Cat's Den
[ @Panda1440 ]
[ @~Fox~ ]
[ @Willowfern ]
Slowly--but still somehow all at once--the sensation of the nest beneath Whitewolf's heavy body registered in her exhausted mind. She was alive; she was in Iciclepaw's den. But that didn't mean everything was going to be okay. This was still her fault, albeit not all of it, and the sadness that tugged at her crestfallen eyes likely told her clanmates enough about the dreadful guilt sinking in her chest like a heavy rock.
"I waited too long to meet with Eveningstar," she said hoarsely. "Emberpaw is missing and I can't find her, RiverClan values our Clan far more dead than alive, and I couldn't...save Petuniaflame..." Hesitation pulling at her last few words, Whitewolf's face sank enough that she had finally begun to look her age. There was nothing she could have done to correct Eveningstar's incompetence though she was still convinced she could have helped if he'd perhaps listened, and she was sure she'd been the last cat Emberpaw had spoken to before going missing.
How much of this was her fault? How much, when the smoke and blood smears cleared and ThunderClan could see clearly, would remain to plague them for years to follow or even an eternity? Did StarClan lose faith in them because they disobeyed the Warrior Code?
Whitewolf eyed the squirrel with Pinewatch's scent on it--she supposed the young Warrior had picked it fresh for her--oh, her sense of smell was returning and the prey had a delightful aroma. But even so Whitewolf's thoughts kept her almost too sick to her stomach to eat and she worried her body would reject the food.
Still, there were others there who wished to see her well. A couple of her closest friends waited and watched, so Whitewolf took a hesitant bite of the warm squirrel for them.
'Nothing's your fault,' they said.
'Everything's okay,' they said.
'Don't ever do that again,' they said.
Whitewolf knew she couldn't make them any promises.
