the small golden furred Tom lay sprawled out in a sunny patch of sunlight, as the sun began to set he let out a tired yawn. Resting his head back onto his paws he closed his eyes wondering if starclan will ever acknowledge his wish to become a med cat apprentice. Suddenly he found himself in a meadow of white flowers with peach trees dotted here and there. A starry figure to far away to make out but his voice clear and smooth as a stone seamed to echo through the meadow “like sunlight the golden rays will help the peaches grow but the dark storms will block the sun illuminating the world in darkness. The cat with the golden fur will shine through the darkness even when the sun is blocked with that the voice was gone and he was back in the camp. Scrambling to get up his breaths came in heaving gasps for air, it felt as if he was on the sun itself. After calming himself down he began to process what he had just seen his claws flexed in anticipation as he shot worried glances around camp. The golden fur couldn’t be me could it?

Meet goldkit he’s a orphan of windclan and has been for his entire life, his mother and father had left windclan to become kittypets and left him their only surviving kit alone in windclan. Even though his conditions are rough and hard he never wondered what had happened to his parents. He’s loyal to his clan and to what he desires and that to help his clan in anyway he possibly can. He loves to make friends and will most likely become very popular with other med cats and other clans.

His fur is a golden cream color with flecks of white and white chest and paws. There are darker golden stripes along his body with flecks of brown mixed in with them. His eyes are a deep amber color almost beige, and if or when the sunlight hits them just fright it looks like fire along with his shiny golden fur. His white chest has flecks of light gray mixed in with them nearly invisible unless you look close enough. His nose is a light pink with darker pink along the outside of it. His whiskers are long and straight. His claws are a see through color and the inside of his ears are a dark pink with white tuffs inside.

His personality is that of many, on some days he can be snappy but others he’s as calm as a lake’s surface when nothings on it. His loving smile brings happiness and confidence wherever it goes. His inspiring saying bring hope and pride to all who can hear it. He likes playing with kits and telling them goofy made up stories, his favorite story he ever made up is called “wonderland with you” it’s a story about a kit and her family as they travel together forever in a land with strange animals that can talk. But back to goldkit…he enjoys watching family’s and their happy moments together. He’s loyal and brave he probably got those from his parents or maybe they just came with him. He lets his mind wander sometimes when he’s alone.

*optional plot/to be adjusted: cowpaw was raised with his destiny laid out in front of him. he was built to be a warrior. he remembered being so excited once he became an apprentice because perhaps he could get rid of that uneasy feeling that perhaps this wasn't his destiny. now if anyone had any expectations for cowpaw -- he failed them. he would get stuck in his own daydreams and prey would escape him or he would trip over his own paws during battle training. whatever it was, cowpaw failed. he knew if he just put himself to it he could excel yet he had his eyes set on something simpler. it worried him the fact he was more focused on .. herbs than defend his own clan. he was angry at himself. in a final attempt to prove himself, cowpaw goes out alone to catch his first prey. it was going to be the most delicious and biggest rabbit ever! instead, cowpaw catches a run-in with a predator and barely escapes with his life. this lands him in the medicine cat's den and he can't even bring himself to be mad. he's bed-ridden and stuck in there but cowpaw gets to learn so much! it fits. even if he gets under peachfrost's paws it feels right. however cowpaw is allowed to return back to training and before peachfrost can get rid of him completely. he demands to be her apprentice. as in begs. is it pretty? nope. is it honorable? nope. peachfrost can either receive the prophecy/omen during this or after this, either or!

xx he's actually around six-seven moons but during the game is most likely around eight. cowpaw is a trans man who has no idea about who he likes! though, he has no interest in that kind of stuff. people are spooky enough.
xx cowpaw is a mix of a norwegian forest cat and a scottish fold! mainly at least, he has other breeds mixed in but that's just the main ones! hence his large size and slightly floppy ears. this ends up leaving him to be slightly hard of hearing! nothing too bad just a little bit. [ for future reference, peachfrost i'm sorry because he is also not aware of his size so he is so very clumsy ]
xx he's fairly quiet and rarely talks buut, cowpaw actually really enjoys interacting with others. he's quite sociable if you take out the talking part. he overthinks it and has learnt that few words are very best.

hello hello, it is the one and only. this is my fancy way of adding some extra things in ! my timezone is est and i typically get on everyday to at least check in. i'll usually reply within a couple of days depending how urgent a reply is and/or how long a reply is! i can easily write a couple of paragraphs given the right motivation. i usually rely on my partner's reply length. cowpaw may be subject to change but this is the basic idea of who he is! a funky apprentice that dreams a lot and trips over his own paws !

Personality
I’d like to introduce you to Swiftkit - my candidate for WindClan’s medicine cat apprentice. He is a five-moon-old tom, and quite the little enigma. From a young age, Swiftkit developed a hunger for knowledge. He has boundless curiosity and a limitless imagination - this kit dreams to do something special with his life, and this is the perfect way for him to achieve that goal. At that, Swiftkit is something of an unofficial scientist. His mind is always five pawsteps ahead of his body, and generates ideas, theories, and experiments to test in the blink of an eye. On top of this chaotic mentality, he has a terrible memory. He struggles with getting his thoughts under control, and this constant internal chaos lends to his physical movement as well; Swiftkit, true to his name, is always darting around camp as he tries to appease his insatiable thirst for new information and knowledge. This often leads to frustration when Swiftkit encounters problems - not to move is not to learn, and Swiftkit relies on a constant stream of information to stay engaged and occupied. Without some form of stimulation, he feels trapped, and emotions skyrocket.
No, Swiftkit isn’t your typical awkward, reclusive scientist. He is quite the social butterfly, and relies on a tight group of friends to help relieve stress after a long day. He enjoys showing off, and though not intentionally mean-spirited, he tends to find himself lashing out when he fails to obtain the emotional output he expected. He lives off of compliments due to a complicated relationship with his parents, and struggles regulating his feelings when alone for a long duration of time. These rapidly changing emotions make Swiftkit a bit unstable as he tries to map out the great big world of life, not to mention his natural jealousy toward those who receive more attention than him - when Swiftkit gets upset, he yells, and though he’s small, he has quite the voice. Still, he has an incredible amount of empathy, and tends to regret his words immediately after they’re uttered, but is too proud to try to take them back - and that happens a lot. As social as he is, he has trouble maintaining friendships due to his frequent outbursts, and even then, consistently believes relationships are closer than they actually are. As soon as he’s upset, he’s angry, and at that point, there’s no stopping the onslaught of emotions about to hit everyone around him. Even though he may hurt them, Swiftkit loves his friends dearly. He’s loyal to a fault, and would drop everything for those closest to him.
Through all of this, Swiftkit is prone to anxiety and existentialism. His trademark intensity is thrown around a lot, from said exuberance to anger and despondency. Swiftkit is constantly pondering the meaning of life, and tends to let his overactive imagination get the best of him during these times, which can be catastrophic in regards to his mental health. Anything he’s confused or upset about will be thrown into massive proportion. He has rejection-sensitive dysphoria, which only makes matters worse. Still, when asked about his feelings, he will always divert to his coping mechanism - self-deprecation. He tries to be the happy kit other cats know him as when around friends, but when alone, he can’t help but slip into the familiar thought train of ‘I did something wrong and now my friends hate me’. This leads him to being very possessive over the friends he’s managed to keep (the jealousy factor comes in here) and desperate for their approval. Swiftkit will do almost anything for attention and interaction, and he can’t help but advocate for it, despite his acute awareness of the cycle ranging between two extremes: ‘please validate me’ and ‘I’m a horrible friend and I hate myself’.
It may come as a surprise, but Swiftkit is able to channel his thoughts and emotions through debate, and he’s good at winning such friendly arguments. He finds it freeing, to be able to present his thoughts in such an orderly manner while still destroying his opponent with his words. That said, ever so hypocritically, he has no patience for stubbornness or interruption - when he’s right, he knows it, and those who don’t come to see the same way he does can start one of his yelling fits. In all honesty, he has no patience anyway, so is that really saying much? All in all, Swiftkit is a loyal, dedicated, and generally optimistic kit. Though he has his faults, he’s a good tom at heart, and will always serve his Clan to the best of his ability. Whether that ambition is fulfilled through medicinal duties is up to you!
At a glance, Swiftkit may not be your first choice for an apprentice for Peachfrost, but I’ll be going into that a bit later, so please, feel free to keep reading!
Appearance
Swiftkit is somewhat athletic for a kit due to all his constant running about. He is a semi-long haired calico tom with pale green eyes. Over half of his fur is white (his entire underside), while vibrant orange and jet-black patches cover the rest of his body. He has large paws and an extremely fluffy tail. His fur is often unkempt due to his obstinate refusal to groom it and the numerous adventures he gets up to daily. Swiftkit is also semi-deaf, though it comes at little detriment to him. He simply naturally speaks louder, and encourages those around him to do the same. Half the time, he doesn’t understand what he’s saying due to the naturally fast rate at which he speaks, and the way the words tumble out before they register in his mind.
Backstory
You may be wondering, at this point, about this mysterious backstory I’ve mentioned. Well, Swiftkit didn’t have a wonderful kithood. His father was always absent, away on patrols and the like, though has expressed disdain for his son many a time. Swiftkit’s mother, on the other hand, is a wild card. Her praise and attention were unpredictable at best, which led Swiftkit not to know what behaviors are appropriate in different circumstances. He struggles with appeasing her, and tends to try to stay away from her when he can. This, along with a lack of discipline from his father, initiated his little adventures, so I suppose you can thank Swiftkit’s mom for one thing - she, in essence, set Swiftkit up to be the cat he is today.
Why Swiftkit?
You may be wondering, at this point, why Swiftkit would be a good medicine cat in the future - aren’t we all? Swiftkit is a complicated little tom, and may seem too rowdy for Peachfrost to tolerate, let alone for him to truly practice the art of medicine, and one day be the leading cat healing all of WindClan. Let’s be honest - this seems overwhelmingly true until you dive deeper into Swiftkit’s unique strengths. Swiftkit wants to be important. He craves attention and validation, but that in and of itself lends him a valuable trait - desire. Swiftkit has the ambition to go far in life, and with the right tools, knows he can achieve his goals. Peachfrost’s gentle encouragement, if a long time coming, would nurture this aspect of Swiftkit’s personality, and boost him to continue to learn and grow, even through the most menial of tasks, because he has the goal in mind and the means to achieve it.
Moreover, Swiftkit has a big heart. He has a great capacity for empathy, which is an essential trait for a medicine cat to have - his Clan is his world, and his clanmates are his family. There’s almost nothing he wouldn’t do for his friends, and his dedication to his work will lend him the luxury of a decisive choice - the life of a medicine cat is the life he wants. There won’t be a shadow of a doubt this is what he wants to become, to help everyone he can. I believe the initial appeal of the job would be the vast amount of knowledge Swiftkit would have access to, and as soon as he’d hear about everything else in store for him, he’d absolutely agree to the prospect.
Swiftkit himself provides a compelling and long-running plot for he and Peachfrost to partake in - learning to accept each other’s differences. Peachfrost’s more rigid, by-the-book nature would initially clash with Swiftkit’s chaotic one, but they can grow to accept each other’s differences and learn to become better at communicating with one another. Swiftkit, the fluffy ball of intense emotions he is, has little self-control and struggles to express himself coherently, and Peachfrost’s guidance would help to silence the raging storm inside of him and encourage him to concentrate on being the best medicine cat he can be.
I feel like Swiftkit and Peachfrost’s relationship, in the event that he’s chosen for the role of medicine cat apprentice, will be paramount. He has a lot he needs to work on as an individual, but he has potential to do great things. I see them starting with a more uneasy relationship, as Peachfrost has to accustom herself to having this scatterbrained kit scampering around under her paws all the time, and Swiftkit gets to experience a true muzzle on his beautifully random ideas for the first time. He could struggle with feelings of being held back while Peachfrost simply wants him to focus and study in an orderly manner. During this time, Swiftkit will realize as much as Peachfrost’s more orderly manner regarding his medicinal and StarClan-centric education aggravates him, he wants her to be proud of him, and for her to see that he’s worth something in life (through this, I’d bring back Swiftkit’s past, which I believe he and Peachfrost should discuss in detail at some point to help her understand a bit of what Swiftkit is going through, and show Swiftkit the gentle, caring Peachfrost he hasn't seen as much due to the more rigorous training she's put him through - this is subject to change, of course, as Peach is your character, but from what I know of her, she'd be a bit more strict with her apprentice, as they are, in essence, the future of WindClan, and she has to raise them to the best of her ability - right? This could be completely wrong, please tell me if so-). He’ll, with some difficulty, whip into shape for her, and for his future, which will be a huge turning point in their relationship. They’ll both grow to appreciate previously oppositional parts of each other over time, and the way they interact will become more generally good-natured rather than frustrations on both sides. This, of course, is subject to change, but is just my take on how their relationship could play out! I’m completely open to suggestions, reworking the entire plot- whatever!

I’m sorry to say I don’t have any experience playing a high rank, but it had to be added. If Swiftkit is chosen for the role of medicine cat apprentice, I’ll naturally make this cutie one of my top priorities. I’m aware a position as a high rank is a lot to handle, and though I don't have much history in this department, I believe I’ve reached a place in my life where I’ll be able to devote enough time and energy to WCO to more than simply manage such a job - if given the chance, I want my time as a high rank to be successful and benefit not only myself, but to every roleplayer on this site.
Activity
As a continuation of the ‘experience’ category, school will always come before WCO, but even with it on the forefront, I’ll easily be able to keep up with everything on here. I’m able to check WCO multiple times every day after 2:20 PM, EST, and should have more than enough time to complete any number of replies as needed. At that, my roleplaying style consists of, at the very least, one paragraph for my roleplaying partner to work off of, but usually ends up mimicking the length of replies from whoever I’m roleplaying with. I will also not be leaving or going on hiatus any time in the future, save for unforeseeable events. All this is to say that I’m capable of rising to this position, and I’m excited to find out what will happen!

I’ve had my eye on a high rank spot for a while, but I’ve only just started to become more comfortable with my writing style, and I feel this would provide a good entry-level experience - I’ll be growing and learning with Swiftkit, which makes for an interesting opportunity for us both. I think Swiftkit has a unique personality, and he’d definitely give Peachfrost a run for her money, but that’s something I haven’t before seen expressed this way in an MC-MCA relationship, and I hope - if Swiftkit is chosen - we get to see a beautiful friendship emerge from it!
I'm always available and more than willing to communicate further if you have questions about anything written here. It's a bit messy overall, but I believe it captures what I hoped it would - at the very least, it puts Swiftkit in the running for the position of medicine cat apprentice, and that's more than I could ask for!

- Swiftkit has ADHD - a mix between the hyperactive and inattentive types!
- Swiftkit also has histrionic personality disorder, which contributes greatly to his whole dynamic with other cats - could working through that with Peach be a side plot?
- Swiftkit is mildly deaf, though, again, it doesn't affect him to any unreasonable extent.
- Swiftkit is sterile, asexual, and aromantic, so there won’t be any surprise kits from this little guy in the future, haha!
- And finally, something that isn't some variety of impairment... Swiftkit says 'hi'!
Prophecy / Omen
“The war of darkness and light is upon the Clans. Only one who can outrun the blood will be able to help heal such deep gashes in both the moorland and beyond.”
This prophecy refers to both the current events with ShadowClan and Swiftkit’s fur coloration. ShadowClan’s ‘darkness’, WindClan’s ‘light’, and the blood spilled between the two mighty Clans are all found on this tom’s downy pelt. 'One who can outrun' clearly refers to Swiftkit's name, while the words ‘heal’ and ‘moorland’ are inherently green in my mind, which both, again, refer to the Clan tensions and Swiftkit’s eye color. ‘Beyond’, on the other hand, gives a more widespread view of the world around the Clans, which, in my mind, alludes to running far and free - ‘swift’ - and all that said swift kitten might do with his life. This prophecy could come to Peachfrost in a dream where she finds herself padding through open moorland. She feels a presence rising behind her but is unable to turn to discern what it is. The prophecy is uttered in a booming disembodied voice as it begins to rain blood. Starting at a light drizzle, it becomes a downpour, and Peachfrost struggles to run, if nonsensically, anywhere away from the storm. Before she knows it, the blood is lapping at her paws, and she slips in the sticky wetness, falling on her side. As she blinks up, trying to re-accustom herself to her surroundings, a small, fuzzy cat-shape pads toward her calmly, though through the cloudburst, Peachfrost can’t discern who it is. The cat leans in to touch its nose to hers, heedless of their surroundings, and she awakens. Just an idea, of course! I thought it would be interesting, but overly dramatic? Yes.

I feel like Noghtkit might go well as a Med Cat App, but that would be up to you. She is a black kit with white speckles and green eyes. She is very bouncy and stubborn, but does care. She is intellegent, but not the smartest real-world thinker, mainly off in her dreamland. She doesn't like Shc, but only because of what's happening. She would like Shc better if Wc and Shc weren't rivals. She is deaf in one ear, but her other ear is amazing at hearing.

Description
Tidepaw is a petite, ebony black she-cat with blue-grey eyes. She has a white marking over the left side of her face, a white patch on the middle of her tail, and white ear tips, and a single white sock on her left paw. Her fur length is relatively long and tends to stay messy. She is a very young apprentice standing at 7 moons and has almost no formal training, which means she would be starting as a medicine cat from scratch. She’s very short and slender, though you wouldn’t know from her floof. Some cats might consider her frail as she doesn’t have very much brute strength, but she is very agile. She tends to have various feathers and leaves stuck into her fur (sometimes on purpose, sometimes not).
Personality
Tidepaw is a bit of an odd cat. She is very quiet, and enjoys observing any and all things, though she sometimes fails to pick up on social cues. She is very sociable, but in large groups of cats she prefers to listen. She greatly enjoys her hobby of collecting any and all things that grab her attention. She currently collects feathers, rocks, flowers, and herbs. One of her favorite things to do when she is alone is to cloud watch or stargaze, and she will ask most any cat’s opinion on the shape of a cloud. She wants a deep connection to Starclan and greatly respects her ancestors. She loves open skies, one of the reasons she loves Windclan. She has a disorder that causes her to have intense daydreams, usually more so when she’s stressed or burnt out. She may be a tad judgmental of other cats, and she will be very blunt about it. Sometimes she comes across as rude or harsh, but she’s just being honest. As she gets older she’ll learn to hold her tongue, but that won’t stop her from shooting glares and other odd looks at cats. She has other underlying conditions, mild anxiety included, which is the reason she has her daydreams. They’re her main form of escapism, though sometimes she has dissociative episodes.
Her anxiety disorder mostly causes dissociation symptoms, though occasionally she'll have a panic attack. If she does have a panic attack it's usually due to claustrophobia. She’s a very patient cat, and doesn’t get easily frustrated. When something does set off her temper she will go off however.
She works great with kits, enjoying entertaining them and caring for them. Her second choice behind medicine cat is actually to be a full time queen. Though she doesn’t plan on having kits of her own, she enjoys helping out the mothers and playing with kits. She prefers the more tedious apprentice tasks such as fetching moss for the dens, building dens, and (her favorite) collecting herbs, brambles, and other things for the camp. She doesn’t care much for hunting or fighting, though out of the two she prefers to hunt. Some of the other apprentices mistake her for being lazy due to her preferring tasks around the camp, when in reality she just understands and values the importance of the little jobs. She also has a tendency to sneak out at night from time to time, she loves to lay in the moors and stare at the stars. Due to her claustrophobia she prefers to sleep in the open, and she usually has trouble falling asleep because of her daydreams. Usually she'll lay in the clearing just outside of the apprentice's den, but on particularly bad nights she'll go out into the open fields until late at night.

Tidepaw has a condition referred to as maladaptive daydreaming which is a (unhealthy) coping mechanism for her anxiety. This means physical experiences and stimuli can trigger vivid daydreams. There are a few things she tends to do when daydreaming, she will tap her tail tip on the ground repeatedly, she may mouth or even whisper words during daydreams, she’ll pace if she’s by herself or in an open space, and sometimes she will nod her head in an almost rocking motion. With grounding techniques she is able to manage her daydreams somewhat. Some of her techniques (some of which she will develop as she gets older) are running her paw over the ground and focusing on the texture, listing things she sees, counting, or focusing on a strong scent in the area. Some of these daydreams can be anxiety inducing but typically she will just appear to be zoning out or even dissociating. These daydreams also make it difficult to sleep so at particularly stressful times she may be sleep deprived. She is usually at least semi-aware that she’s daydreaming but I could see her becoming a bit confused if she receives a vision from Starclan, unsure if it was merely a daydream or not, at least for her first vision. This won't inhibit her abilities as a medicine cat too much as most of the tasks will be good ways to keep her grounded. The smell of the herbs, the repetitive action of sorting leaves, and metally going over different herbs and what they do are all variations of her grounding techniques that help keep her in reality.
Her Suitability As A Medicine Cat
I could see Tidepaw, even as a young kit, being fascinated by the medicine cat den. Watching how herbs were collected and sorted probably inspired her to begin collecting interesting things. She is very observant, so I believe she would be able to pick up on injuries, symptoms, etc. pretty quickly. She also loves stargazing and cloudwatching, which could be ways for her to perceive prophecies. She would love to be connected with Starclan and would be very active in searching for their guidance. She’s also a relatively quick learner, though perhaps a bit distant due to her maladaptive daydreaming. I think having the duty of medicine cat apprentice would help ground her a bit, as she’d have something she’d find more interesting to keep her out of her daydreams. Having anxiety also better prepares her for more intense and high-stake moments. Being someone who tends to worry about things means that when those worries happen she's prepared and able to stay calm and level-headed in those moments. This means she will handle emergencies well, and, once she gets older and learns healthier coping techniques, will have the means of dealing with any stresses from the job in a healthy way. She will also be able to better relate with patients with mental illnesses, sensory processing disorders, and other more difficult cases. Her empathy and patience will ensure she is able to kindly deal with patients, though maybe shooting them judgemental looks for the silly ways they injure themselves.
Her Relationship with Peachfrost
I think the two cats’ personalities would mesh well. She may be a bit frustrated in the beginning with Tidepaw’s tendency to get distracted by daydreams, but eventually would learn how to keep Tidepaw grounded and what teaching styles and activities keeps Tidepaw invested. I think this would create an interesting dynamic between them as they learn to work with each other's quirks, and give Peachfrost a bit of a challenge while she learns Tidepaw's unique ways of learning. Tidepaw is a kinetic learner, which means she learns best by physically doing things, so she will likely want to be very active in participating in the treatments of patients. As Tidepaw grows and matures she will also learn to cope with her daydreams more and eventually use her vivid imagination to come up with new and inventive treatment plans. After getting over their initial learning curve I think the two would grow very close. There may be a bit of disagreement between them over their views of the other clans, this would create some mild tension but not enough to ruin their friendship or inhibit their ability to work together. Tidepaw will definitely look up to Peachfrost as a role model, even before becoming medicine cat apprentice.
Plot Ideas
-Tidepaw goes through a period where she has frequent dissociative episodes, Peachfrost is trying to help her and they accidentally discover that strong smells help ground Tidepaw. This would develop their relationship more, improve Tidepaw's ability to stay in reality, and help Tidepaw realize that Peachfrost does care for her and it's more than a basic apprentice/mentor relationship. I think this would be their first step to actually becoming close friends.
-Her first medicine cat meeting Tidepaw is being extremely friendly towards all the medicine cats, asking about the other clans, wishing their clans good luck, etc. This could be away to introduce Tidepaw and Peachfrost's conflicting views about the other clans and get a little bit of mild tension going.
-Tidepaw develops a small crush, her first crush, on another apprentice. It goes on for a few weeks before she confides in Peachfrost. Peachfrost will then explain why it's important medicine cats not take on mates or have kits. Tidepaw would be slightly disappointed at first, but accept it. This would affirm her commitment to being a medicine cat and help Tidepaw realized the job won't be as easy as she may have imagined.
Roleplay Example
Tidepaw quietly crept through the moors, her eyes fixed on the sky as the soft grass brushed her paws. It was late, but she had special permission to leave camp for once. She smiled to herself, usually she had to sneak out. She found a particularly soft patch within the heather, a place she would lay often, and she settled down. She looked back up at the sky at the stars, some large and bright, some mere pinpricks in the dark navy sky. She curled her tail over her flank as a chill breeze rustled through the open field. She closed her eyes for a moment, parting her jaws to let the sweet scent of the moors fill her senses. Tidepaw couldn’t understand how the other clans stood to be crowded by the trees, when the wide expanse of the heather fields were so much more desirable.
She stretched out, shifting to a more comfortable position in the grass. She opened her silvery-blue eyes to stared in the direction of the camp and sighed. She had been told that she could only be out until moonhigh, and it was almost at that point. She wanted to stay out longer. She knew the only reason she had been allowed out was because she had promised to sleep in the Apprentice's Den tonight if she was. It was so crowded and stuffy in there, she felt like she couldn't breathe. Her mind began wandering, attempting to distract herself from the approaching deadline, and Tidepaw could feel herself slipping into a daydream. Her daydreams were always light, fluffy, and vague. It was a bright open camp full of squealing kits, wispy feathers, and puffy clouds. Usually the cats didn't have names, but occasionally someone from reality would make an appearance. It was a strange experience to daydream, Tidepaw could feel her tail tip twitching as it rustled the grass in the moors, but she could also faintly hear the soft chattering of queens as they gossiped in the clearing while their kits played. She focused on one kit, a white one with soft, down like fur who was batting a moss ball back and forth.
The soft hoot of an owl echoing across the heather field tugged her towards reality. She blinked, trying to clear the daydream from her head. 1... 2... 3... she began counting silently. She stood up and shook her fur, she really should get back to camp, otherwise she may not be allowed out at night again. She cast one last wistful look at the sky before padding back toward Windclan camp, dreading the undoubtedly restless night she would have.
My Roleplay Style
I tend to start off with a fairly long starter as shown above to give the person a lot to work with so if they also have a preference for longer posts they have quite a bit to respond to. After the initial starter I usually match the other person’s length, whether that means lengthening or shortening my responses. I’ve found that matching the other person’s length helps the roleplay flow better and keeps everyone comfortable. I am consistently working on improving my length, vocabulary, and phrasing as a means to improve my roleplay style as a whole. Ideally I would like to write at least two paragraphs for at least the starter, then adjusting from there to suit the other person's roleplay style.

The thoughts of the Sea will no longer be lost
This prophecy would be spoken in a dream. Peachfrost would be walking along a beach at night, the waves crashing. Then the prophecy would be spoken in a big, booming voice and the tide will go almost eerily still. Other visuals might accompany the prophecy, such as a peach scent on the breeze or herbs sprouting through the sand.
Why I May Be Suitable For This Role
I understand that while the character in the role is important, the person behind the character is just as important to culturing not only positive interactions in roleplay, but also using their influence as a benefit to the community. My top priority first and foremost is being a positive influence, a good role model, and creating a good experience for everyone who is a part of our little niche in WCO. I am very organized as a person and usually respond promptly to roleplaying, VMs, and PMs. I try to remain polite and diplomatic in all interactions. Due to my personal school schedule, I have the ability to be very active and be on most every day, at almost any time. I have been roleplaying personally for over 3 years and am very comfortable in my roleplaying style, as well as roleplaying with people with a wide variety of styles. I have admittedly little experience with high ranks on this site, but I value how important these roles are and wish that the best candidate for these roles be chosen. I love this OC dearly, Tidepaw was one of the first I created long before becoming active on WCO. Her best interests are alway in my mind, and I would never submit her if I didn’t think she may be suitable. That said, regardless of if I receive the role or not, I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to apply. Thank you for your consideration.

Interview
Lights everywhere in the room flicker on, and the shape of Peachfrost is shown to be sitting in a chair, watching the stage, waiting to find her new apprentice.
Acornkit was admittedly a bit nervous, but they put on a proud smile and walked onto the stage. "Name, age, and preferred pronouns?" the medicine cat asked. It was clear she was impatient, but who knew how many applications she had reviewed?
"I'm Acornkit!" they said proudly. "I'm five and a half moons old, and pronouns are they/them." Peachfrost nodded, and began to take notes.
"I want to be medicine cat apprentice," Acornkit announced, as if that wasn't the only reason they would be here. "I really don't want to hurt cats in battle... I don't want to turn out like my dad, who died before i was born... Mama says that he killed her brother and one of her sisters before her other sister killed him."
"But I don't wanna kill!" they cried. "I want- I want to heal! I want to help the injured, not injure others!" Their voice quieted down and they continued to speak. "I don't know what I would do if I became a warrior... Warriors are useless if they won't battle others... What if Twilightstar exiles me?"
Realizing that they were still talking to a highly ranking cat, they quickly recomposed themself. "Th-thanks for having me."
About Acornkit
Acornkit is a 5.5 moon old kit. They are scared of becoming a warrior because they don't want to hurt others. This is because their father went insane while their mother was heavily pregnant, so their mom always talked about it. However he is also scared that Twilightstar would exile them if they didn't become a warrior, so medicine cat is the only other option.
This isn't to say that Acornkit is your stereotypical "kind caring gentle bla bla bla" kind of cat. They are very loud about their opinions, and quite bold as well. They are intelligent, and a good listener, but have a very short attention span. They are stubborn, often getting themselves into bad situations just to spite others. They are known to hold a grudge against others over the slightest thing, and if very keen on being their own cat.
However, they have had many thoughts of hurting those around them, which has made his extreme fear of harming others even worse. They're scared of what they can do, and these thoughts are making them wonder - are they going insane?
Acornkit has Harm OCD, which is a form of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder where the intrusive thoughts focus on the possibility of hurting those around them. These thoughts scare them into pushing others away, making them often appear cold. They are terrified of the possibility of those thoughts controlling them, which is why they'd like to stay as far away from the battlefield as possible.
Their Suitability as Medicine Cat
Acornkit is terrified of being an apprentice, or having to ever put their claws on anyone. Their personality is likely to work well with that of Peachfrost, since they are a good listener and hard worker. They will likely find the presence of the medicine cat comforting since their mother doesn't pay them much attention. Acornkit is likely to think of Peachfrost as a parental figure, in a way.
