Despite all her sharp words and angry attitude, now being able to tell how bad the injury could be, Forestpelt felt the slightest sting of regret at being quite so irritable towards him. Still- he was being just as stubborn. And there's no way I'm going to step aside and let him have the satisfaction of getting to me. Forestpelt thought in a frustrated manner, the tip of her tail twitching as she did so. The black she cat glanced at her surroundings once more, her ears tilted forwards in anticipation of any noise. Her green hues weren't picking up any movement until...Somewhere in the bushes, Forestpelt caught the slightest brush of fur, darting into them. Her green hues narrowed and she swiftly padded towards the bushes, glancing into them for a moment. A rather thin rat, it's back to her, was nibbling away at a half rotted piece of fruit. Ugh, disgusting. Forestpelt thought with a shudder, but the rat was better then nothing. Moving swiftly, she lashed out with her paw, delivering a serious blow before she finished the small animal off. She preferred to finish it with the first strike, but if she had dared to pounce through those bushes, she would have alerted the small creature to her presence. She glanced back at her companion, the furry creature now clasped between her pearl-white fangs, and then she set it down between her front paws. "You need to be more careful. Are you trying to kill yourself?" She asked, her green hues flashing with annoyance. Her voice was not the general rasp-like hiss, but a sharp, clear tone that sounded almost nothing like her. She was surprised by how clear her voice had sounded. And she was half surprised by the words that had left her own maw. Although she wasn't friends with Foxspring, she did not wish him to injure himself further...or indeed, to kill himself while out hunting.
|
"Perhaps," he spoke back once the pain eased. Foxspring wasn't aware she caught something until he turned back around with the squirrel in his jaws. His yellow hues fixed on the rat and he cringed a little bit. I'm not about to eat rats to survive, he thought to himself as he dropped the squirrel on the ground, ready to defend himself from her words. "It's just some cuts in my chest, it's nothing," he replied. In reality, Foxspring hadn't seen the medicine cat once since the battle in spite of his injuries. If they were to get infects, the fox-colored warrior would be in a world of pain, but he was too stubborn to admit to this fact. "Shall we continue on?" Foxspring immediately changed the subject as his large paws scrapped earth over his squirrel for him to get later. The prey would be cold by then, but cold prey was better than no prey.

"Right, okay. How about you wait until that gets worse and then tell me it's nothing? Will it still be nothing if it gets worse, Foxspring?" She asked, her voice still sharp and crystal like. The warrior's tail twitched in frustration as a fire seemed to light in her green hues. She hated it when cats brushed off their injuries as though 'they were nothing.' If they were nothing, what use would a medicine cat be? Forestpelt thought. True; they could speak to StarClan...or at least that was what they claimed. How dead cats were watching them, Forestpelt had no idea. And she wasn't about to believe it just because most of her Clan did. At least...the majority that was still here. She brushed some earth over the rat, feeling a slight twinge of regret at taking the life from something that no cat would want to eat...oh well, I can always eat it myself. It can't be bad for me. I've heard tales of loners eating these furry little scraps.'Forestpelt thought. Absorbed in her thoughts about the rat and her frustration, she hardly noticed Foxspring speaking to her. "Hm? Oh yeah, yeah..." Forestpelt mewed, although it didn't sound very convincing, even to her. For one thing it had neither the sharp, crystal like sound or the rasp of her hiss. It was just...normal. Which, for her felt weird...she had gotten so used to speaking irritably, she had almost forgotten what her voice used to sound like.

Treestep reassures before Blizzardpaw can say anything. "If you can sniff any other strange scents, please tell me, but otherwise, you will be fine." Treestep mews. Blizzardpaw wanted to say back a not so kind retort 'I know that!' But instead nodded, he didn't want to be like his old self, or rude to his mentor, but his amber orbs still glistened a bit in annoyance, but then gleamed in excitement as Treestep told him they were going to do hunting practice, the first, or perhaps second, for Blizzardpaw. He dug his claws into the mud, excitedly, but calmly. At last! Blizzardpaw was then still and silent, pricking his ears to listen in the pine forest, aswell as sniff for some prey, he was rushing it a bit, but it worked right? "I guess I'm ready.." Blizzardpaw mewed, unsure, but his optics then showed a diffrent story, excitement, determination. He did feel ready now, a little bit, but not the whole way.

"Speaking of awesome people, me being one, there is a place I love to go to.it's one of the old tunnels. I his it for safe keeping. Maybe you'd like to come with me when I go there later today." Cherrypaw came near her mentor. Her eyes grew wide with fear of fighting a full grown loner. She then perked her ears forward at the she cats words. She felt sad now. She wasn't sure what to do. "She didn't do anything wrong. Why should the innocent be punished?" She asked her mentor looking up at him with big eyes.

Crookedpath roared with anger, though he seemed calm. His muscles where tense and his head lowered. "STUPID LONER!" he snarled clawing the grass and standing up "I did not fail I gave you a warning and I believe I'm done with this nonsense I will retrieve timberstar and hale storm and they will drive you far away from here" he snarled
He then glares at cherrypaw,"did you not listen to the elders or your mother? Loners don't belong with warriors" he hissed in anoyance turning to face his apprentice with bruning amber eyes.

"Ok ok, I understand," she said as she turned and began to pad away. She was afraid her life would be endanger. She then thought of the tom. She was going to miss him. No. She wasn't. He was her enemy. Nothing more, nothing less. She thought.
Cherrypaw nodded slowly. She then looked down as he glared and got mad at her. "Your right Crookedpath," she mewed loud enough for the Loner to hear.
Cinder smiled a she heard the tom's name come from the apprentices mouth. 'Crookedpath' she thought. Nice name. She shook her head as she thought. No! Stop it cinder!

Treestep heard from his voice that he was a bit unsure. "You'll do great, Blizzardpaw. Now it's time for you to go out there and hunt for your clan. I'll follow your scent along the way." Treestep pointed his tail away from him. "Start over there, and work your way around the border. Good luck!" Treestep meows. His eyes show excitement for Blizzardpaw, and hopes he feels the same way.

Blizzardpaw's amber optics shown with excitement, joy, and eagerness.
Finally, he was able, able to hunt for his clan, and feed the cats who need it the most. His ears were pricked, and as he sniffed the air for prey, he finally, found a scent of a crow, trying to pick off a worm from the ground, pulling and tugging. Excitement welled through him, as he dropped to a crouch, noting not to make a noise that might attract the bird, as he stalked toward it, tail daring to swish at the snow covered marshland, whiskers quivering, he proceeded to pounce, lifting off the ground as he grabbed the crow with his claws, scraping at its wing, it gave a squawk as the apprentice snapped its fragile neck, cutting the sound off before it alerted any other prey of his presence, eyes gleaming with triumph. Blizzardpaw silently thanked Starclan as he pawed at the ground, creating a big enough hole for some prey to be stored, and thus dropping it in, before scraping the whole up, and padding off to find two more catches before.
It wasn't long before the tom cat scented another creature.
This time, a squirrel, its poofy tail swishing as it tried to search for where the buried their nuts, sniffing around a pine tree. Blizzardpaw noted to stay quiet again, as he crept toward his prey, claws unsheathed, as he finally, lifted off the ground, slashing at the squirrel's neck before it even peeped a sound, perhaps all the training in the murky place that was the Dark Forest paid off, even though Blizzardpaw promised himself to never go to that evil place again, way too dark and mysterious, and the evil cats residing their were never good, Blizzardpaw shuddered as he thought about the place, he never wanted to go their in the first place, but his bratty old self thought it was cool? The tom cat thought about this as he padded back to the whole he make, unscraping it as he settled the squirrel with his crow, nodding with a slight satisfaction.
Sniffing around once more, Blizzardpaw scented a toad, though his whiskers quivered in distaste, it was still prey. So, stalked toward the hopping amphibian, eyes stil glimmering with distaste and non-want to catch the toad, the warrior apprentice braced himself to leap, and he did, but the toad hopped away quickly, croaking disgustingly. Blizzardpaw's optics glinted in anger. "I've always hated stupid toads.." Blizzardpaw growled, murmuring under his breath, as his claws scraped at mud and dirt, sniffing the air for more prey, but none came to his nose. Darnit! I scared all the prey away, well... this is enough, I guess.. Blizzardpaw didn't want to unearth the prey, just in case he needed to get more. His fluffy tail twitched as he turned to look at Treestep, unsure look in his eyes. "Is that enough..?" He asked, wanting a bit of reassurance, and wanting to know if he needed to go nearer to the border. Perhaps he needed to? Well, he would have to wait for his mentor's answer first, and not arrogantly moving forward without having to ask his mentor first! Blizzardpaw wasn't the one for jumping right into things, well, anymore at least.

Treestep nods at the young apprentice. "You did well, young one. You've worked hard. You must be hungry too. How about we go back to camp and you can grab some fresh kill?" Treestep mewed with praise. He felt as if he was going to easy, and added, "But you'll catch more next hunting session, because we'll practice, right?" He padded off to the camp, feeling tired after the night of hunting, and watching Blizzardpaw, even though he did nicely.

Re: ShadowClan Territory
Snowpaw padded out of the camp and into the forest. She looked around at the towering pine trees and felt the sun on her back. "Oh StarClan, it is good to be back out in the forest," she mewed softly. Snowpaw turned around to wait and see if Webpaw would follow her.
