Bearbranch thought that was a reasonable answer, he could imagine the warmer moons must be unbearable for cats like Swiftwind and himself to an extent. "Well, of course a cat like me could bear the colder moons but I think I prefer the new life that comes with Newleaf. It just feels nice to know we all survived the colder moons." He said. It was always a warm feeling that Newleaf brought him, and it had a small smile form on his face. The first one in a while, and for once he actually let it stay. He had no idea why, but maybe it was his company! He wasn't one to have any friends, but having Swiftwind as one was nice.

Swiftwind seemed to be thinking over Bearbranchs words as he spoke, her yellow eyes lightly glazed over. He had a point, with the warmer season brought the springing of fresh plants, herbs, even the prey the clan hunted as the animals poked their head from their resting places and began to bring new life themselves. “I can see what you mean,” nodding, her gaze returned to the tom at her side as she gave a few slow blinks. Noticing his smile, Swiftwind had been quick to return it before pushing on ”not only does Newleaf bring new life to the plants and the stuff Peachfrost used to treat cats with,” pausing, a breath was taken in so she could continue to speak, ”but, it also flushes our prey out, bringing their own behind them,” one more thing which had just popped into her mind. “New life is also brought amongst us,” while Swiftwind had never had a particular fondness for the kits, she had always enjoyed seeing that the clan was brimming with life and renewed energy. That was what she hated most about the ongoing fight with Shadowclan, it seemed, and rightfully so, to be being the spirits of Windclan cats down. With a huff, Swiftwind had seemed to gain a broader grin, her gaze twinkling for a moment “but all the pretty colors the leaves change in the forest and on the few trees we have,” with the next thing, she seemed even more excited “and fresh blankets of snow, plus the crunch the grass makes, I just think I prefer the colder seasons,” for a moment, her words had been puffed out and breathy “they’re just so pretty,” at least, to her they were.

The pretty fall colors Swiftwind was talking about just meant death for Bearbranch. They signified the hardship that was close coming. But, Bearbranch never looked at it that way and Swiftwinds words gave him a new perspective on the whole thing of seasons. "I suppose that those are some good reasons to enjoy them." He noticed the excitement in her voice and the expression and he figured he would have to do something for her during these months since she seemed to enjoy them so much. He couldn't think of anything but a stick at the moment but he was definitely going to ponder it more.

It was a bit of a tottering opinion on the colder seasons. On one paw, as Leaf-fall and quickly behind it Leaf-bare approached it meant that Windclan had to scramble to get things prepared, that they had to hunt more and also work in the colder weather. Of course the chill never bothered her too much, but she knew the thinner furred cats probably abhorred the seasons. But then again, the pretty colors, the way the leaves that had turned shades of reds, orange, yellow had flittered down from their branches and laid along the ground, and the way the sun reflected off fresh blankets of snow. She was honestly torn between two sides, able to see both arguments, but she certainly leaned more towards Leaf-fall and Lead-bare. Stars.. she hadn’t even realized that her mind had drifted away from the current situation, and as Swiftwind blinked to rid her gaze of the daze that had fallen over it, Swiftwind peered at Bearbranch with a bit of confusion for a moment. She was trying to remember what he said, as she didn’t want to seem rude to her friend. ”Erm..yes,” binary answer, but at least it was something, but just as quickly as it had been lost to the depths of her daydreams, it was quickly recovered in her mind. “Oh! Yes, yes, but you also make some good points, it is nice to feel the heat after the cold and to see flowers blooming,” of course, those weren’t the points he had made, but Swiftwind found those to be some fo the redeeming qualities of the warmer seasons.

Whirlkit woke up, bored. She got out of her nest and her eyes scanned for anyone to play with.

Firekit tore bits of moss from the queens' nests, wrapping them up into a mossball. She wished she had a sibling, or someone that she could play with. Looking around with her fiery amber eyes, she saw another bored-looking kit, who she recognised as Whirlkit. Firekit padded over, her mossball hooked in her small claws.
"Hi, Whirlkit!" she mewed cheerfully, flicking her tail. "You look really bored. Want to play mossball?"

Whirlkit smiled. "Hi, Firekit, and Okay!" She chirped, excited, as she jumped up and down, not bored anymore. She really liked playing moss-ball! It was very fun! She liked playing it a lot! Ooh, Whirlkit was excited, because she had someone to play with! She smiled, waiting for Firekit to bat the moss-ball at her. She smiled at Firekit agian

Yay! Whirlkit had accepted! Grinning, Firekit stood up on her hind legs to reach this one. Holding her paw up high, she batted it across enthusiastically, back to Whirlkit.

Whirlkit grinned, batting it back to Firekit with a grin on her face. This was exciting and they barely even started!
