Re: The Thunderwillow
Newtheart felt a flutter of anxiety in his stomach. Him? A mentor? He still felt like he had just gotten used to clan life, though he had been in Thunderclan for moons. With a flick of his bushy tail and a nervous swallow, the thick-furred tom padded over to his new apprentice. With a jolt, he realized that it was Mistyshade's kit, of all the kits he could have been assigned. What were the chances? Perhaps he would be able to speak with the dark molly more frequently, now that he was involved with her kit's training. In fact, that would be quite lovely. He smiled at the newly-made apprentice, bending down to touch noses with her. "Hello Brightpaw, it's lovely to meet you." Starclan, he hoped he sounded more confident than he felt. "I'm very excited to mentor you. Your my first apprentice, you know. So we'll be learning together!"

Re: The Thunderwillow
Lionsmoke
- the terrified manipulator -
"'sup, i'm awkward."
Lionsmoke's eyes went wide, then he shifted them to stare at Aspen. His gaze was slightly accusing, but slightly kind at the same time. Aspenstar was the smartest cat he had ever met, period. She always had the right answer, she would know what was best for anycat. He admired her greatly, and did ever so seek to please her. He would train this unwanted - but still welcome - gift, although his feelings of failure had not yet disappeared. He still felt unworthy. In fact, he was tempted to bow to Aspen shouting that. But that would probably be a little too much. Instead Lionsmoke would just attempt to make conversation with his apprentice.
(His.)
He did not want to make conversation with this child. In fact, old feeings of shyness were overcoming him this very minute. He supposed he had to.
"Why, hello there, Houndpaw," he meowed. "Lovely name by the way, I'm so tempted to steal it from you." He laughed. "Although I am deeply afraid it would not suit me."

Re: The Thunderwillow
~Brightpaw~
Brightkit felt a stir of excitement as she stared at her sister, knowing Flowerkit must’ve been overly anxious in this moment. She was too, honestly. But upon seeing the smile and head dip, Brightkit had attempted to imitate her littermates movement, giving a broad smile as she gave a little dip of her own gray furred head. Her ears perked up slightly when Flowerkit mentioned have something to tell her, and Brightkit raised her eyebrows slightly. The little cat wondered what in the world Flowerkit knew and it had obviously caught Brightkits attention. Her ears perked up slightly when Flowerkit started and Brightkit gave a little nod at Flowerkits question. She had seen the young warrior around before but hadn’t paid much attention to them, but the news would certainly change that. A little grin plastered along her muzzle as Brightkit nearly jumped ”really?!” calling that out, Brightkit suddenly realized she may have been drawing attention to herself, so she lowered her voice “that’s—that’s great! That’s awesome!” another purr rose in her chest as Brightkit nodded softly again.
Her ears perked up slightly when she heard Aspenstar starting on the ceremonies. Giving her sister a little wink with her glowing blue eyes that held the obvious sign of excitement, Brightkit rounded on her paws and looked up at the leader once more. She grew more impatient with each name called that wasn’t hers, and with a soft sigh she had begun to give up hope that she wouldn’t be able to get her ceremony today, but then her name was called and her ears instantly perked up. Even with the stern glance from Aspenstar, it didn’t quell the excitement that was rising in her chest. She was no longer Brightkit, but rather Brightpaw! Even though she felt the need to find her mentor, Brightpaw decided against it and stuck to Flowerkit as she awaited for her sisters name to be called. It was the last one, and Flowerkit was renamed. A little gasp came from Brightpaw as she swung her head to look at Tulippaw. “You’re new name is so pretty!” purring it out towards her sister, Brightpaw pressed her nose to her sisters cheek. It really was a pretty name, at least to Brightpaw it was.
However, when she heard another cat approaching, Brightpaw had switched her gaze from her sister in the direction of the pawsteps. Her ears perked up slightly as her blue gaze swept across the crowd. She had never met this Newtheart, hadn’t really ever heard of him, but she supposed it would be better to give him a try rather than shunning away out of anxiety. Her mouth suddenly went dry when he seemed to appear in front of her from out of the crowd and Brightpaw felt herself shrink back just a bit out of instinct. She had allowed him to touch noises with her, it was traditional, so she wasn’t going to pull away from that, but she couldn’t deny the anxious feeling in her chest. Pressing her flank to her sisters side, Brightpaw took a moment before her voice was brought to a quiet level “Ah—um, hello,” giving a few slow blinks, Brightpaw peered towards her new mentor as her heart silently pounded in her chest. She needed to seem more brave, but at his next words her voice had only come up just a little bit “yeah—I guess you’re right, but that sounds fun though,” her little gray ears flickering, Brightpaw watched her mentor closely.

Re: The Thunderwillow
Mistpaw glanced at the cat next to her mentor and smiled thanks! I’m not usually this excited it’s just I’ve traveled a long way to get here and now I’m finally home or that’s what I was told… a sigh escaped the fluffy Molly’s maw as she turned back towards her mentor I can already tell we’re not going to get along…but even if he doesn’t want to get along I’ll force him to the large molly grumbled. It wasn’t her fault she was assigned to him it was just fate as it is and nothing could change that. A defiant growl rumbled from her throat as she eyed scorchfrost she wasn’t going to let him ignore her like this no not at all. Her excitement was replaced by cold disappointment and she touched her nose to scorchfrost’s then immediately jerked back. She came to thunderclan to learn and learn she will weather he likes it or not. Look I can tell you want nothing to do with me but at least pretend to care for the sake of others. I could honestly care less what you think it’s just I came here to learn so you better teach me weather you like it or not.
As she turned she didn’t even bother to apologize as her large fluffy tail completely whacked him across the face on purpose she was challenging him to do something about it. Sighing in relief as she sat down next to sparrowflight. She at least seamed nice enough to welcome her, her eye was caught by a gray shape trying to sneak its way closer to her. A smile appeared on her face as she flicked her tail towards the gray cat whom was clearly interested in her none the less. She had to admit the gray cat was quite beautiful and her movements where nothing short of elegant. Shuffling over a bit she made room for whoever they where to sit next to her perhaps they could even be friends. @Jayvines @Froya

Re: The Thunderwillow
. @Cobra
About freaking time she became an apprentice. She was 7 moons for StarClan's sake!!! The scowl set upon her face dissipated as she realized what was happening. She was becoming an apprentice! 'OH MY GOSHHHHHH' She giddily grinned, and looked around for her mentor. Lionsmoke... Lionsmoke... hm... She saw the tom and scampered over, leaning forward for the ritual nose-tap.
"It's nice to meet you." She mumbled. He wanted to steal her name?! How rude! She turned to glare at him, appalled, then noticed he was joking. Her glare softened, and she giggled. "We can trade if you want!" It was a joke, obviously, because then she would TECHNICALLY be a warrior and he would be an apprentice.

Rowanbriar was quite irritated that she didn't get an apprentice. Yeah, she was 14 moons and still really young, but she was a decent warrior! She should get an apprentice! Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Sootstrike (who had an apprentice, she was slightly jealous, but now that she thought about it, having an apprentice would most likely suck) flick his tail to her. She padded over, smiling a little.
"Quite the conversationalist, you are." She commented mockingly, bumping his shoulder with her forehead in their traditional greeting. "Lucky you, you've gotten a little pain in your ass." She wasn't joking, but made it look like she was, because she didn't want to look rude.

Re: ThunderClan Joining and Rejoining
Newtheart's whiskers twitched with excitement as the camp finally came into view. Thank Starclan! He had worried he would never find the camp, frankly. "Hey, Aspenstar?" The tom called out, his amber gaze searching for the leader. Hopefully she wouldn't be too upset with him for disappearing, he definitely did not want to anger her. As kind as she was generally, she could be scary sometimes, and he did not want to face her wrath. He suspected it wasn't too big of a deal, as cats seemed to disappear and reappear all the time, but he wasn't certain. "Er- I'm, uh... I'm back." He wasn't really sure of what to say, and was blundering through his reintroduction.

Re: ThunderClan Clearing
CrowKit purred in amusement. As ClearLight licked her paws, CrowKit looked around for some cover from the rain and decided that maybe it would be smart to head back into the nursery. It was true that CrowKit wasnt bothered by the rain, but cold was another story.
"Now that i think about it, im starting to feel a little cold. Lets get back to the nursery and get dry." CrowKit mewed softly.

Re: The Thunderwillow
~Sparrowflight~
Stiffling a small chuckle with a cough at the young cat's haughty words to her new mentor, the young warrior gave Scorchfrost a look as if to say 'you've got your paws full with this one' before turning back to the apprentice ceremonies.
Cheering her younger sister's new names with just a touch too much volume and enthusiasm, Sparrowflight's eyes practically sparkled as they went forward to meet their mentor.
She hoped beyond hope that Flow-- no Tulippaw's mentor would be able to adequately train the young blind cat, but if all else failed she would be there for her sister no matter what.
She still had yet to formally meet Brightpaw, but the way that the two seemed to act with one another made her heart swell up in pride. They would take care of each other. Speaking of taking care of others... Where was their mother?
Glancing around to check for any sign of Mistyshade, a worried look grew across her face as she realized the absence of her presence. Where could her adoptive mother be? To not be there for your kits ceremonies... Sucking in a fresh breath of air to rid herself of those worries, she plastered the pleased grin back onto her face and kept her attention on her siblings with pride.
@Froya;

~Mistpaw~
As Mistpaw brought her paw over her head one last time, she caught the eye of the very cat she was curious about. Apparently this new cat had caught on to her interest, as they gave her a flick of their tail and scooched over so there was an open place to sit.
Returning he greeting with a flick of her own tail, the young apprentice made her way over to the now open spot to sit.
Ooook uhhhhh what do I say? 'Hey, my name's also Mistpaw. Wanna hang out later?' No that sounded dumb.
Nose scrunching as ideas crossed her brain, Mistpaw eventually let out a small huff before simply turning to the new cat with a shy smile.
" Uh, hey. My name's Mistpaw. Are you... the other Mistpaw?"
Oh gosh, that sounded awkward. Was that awkward?

Re: The Thunderwillow
Lionsmoke
“if you say so... “
Lionsmoke quickly tapped her nose because he totally forgot. Okay. Okay. Okay, yeah this apprentice was... really excited. And - wait, what was spreading across his face? WAS THAT A. A SMILE. Okay, he would let it happen. Houndpaw’s energy was deeply contagious. And she was so hilarious without even trying!! It was natural to her.
They shrugged. “IIII don’t know. I’m thinking you’ll probably pretty fond of it soon, considering the fact that you are so very obviously an amazing apprentice and will get your warrior name in no time.” He winked.”I mean, just saying.” [ @poisoned poppy ]

Re: The Thunderwillow
Springpaw..? That has a nice ring to it.
He thought for a second as his fellow apprentices went to great their mentors. This was so exciting I'm going to finally be able to leave the nursery! Turning around to survey the crowd of cats that had gathered. He began to make his way towards the gruff senior warrior. "Hello." It would be better to test the waters than to accidentally step into a fox trap. Sootstrike was a senior warrior which was better than he had expected. Sootstrike most have been in a lot of battles and know all the best hunting spots by now.
