Orchid looked at Fire, not sure whether to be disgusted or amused. ”No, they’re not a prey.” She said condescendingly. ”They’re groups of cats who work together and live together and stuff.” How incompetent of the loner, to ask that question. Everyone who had eyes or ears knew what the Clans were! She glanced over to smirk at Feckle-whatsit, shooting the Clan she-cat a look that basically said ’Can you believe this cat?’

When Freckle-whatsit agreed with her, she snickered. ”Yeah, Pops, you only live once. Now stop acting like a stiff. You sound like a mo-” Like a mom. She felt her own words like rocks felt at her, and she fought the urge to not flinch. How stupid of her. ”-Like... like a moron.” She said harshly, backing away two steps.

Oh, Daffodil. Her tiny, precious daughter. And she, Orchid, her daughter’s mother, killed her at 3 moons. Her blood between her claws, under the veil of night. For such a selfish reason. She shuddered. Oh, great stars up high.

’Orchid.’
’No. Don’t say a thing.’

She had to hide. Pricking her ears, smoothing her fur and relaxing her features to an arrogant expression, she looked down her nose at Fire and Pouncepath, trying not to meet Freckle-whatsit’s eyes, because then she would feel guilty, for some damned reasion.

The ginger and white speckled she-cat flinched, noticing her obvious hesitation. “Orchid? Are you alright?” She said, ignoring the windclan cat. She pressed her lips together, suddenly feeling a bit uncomfortable.

Aw, hell. Freckle-whatsit noticed her discomfort. Orchid drew herself up to her full height, almost snarling at the stick-cat who called her ma'am. "I can deal with your damn patrols, thank you." She snapped, claws coming out despite her slight attempt to control her emotions. She turned on Freckle-whatsit, who had then inquired if she was okay. If she was okay. Staring at the (rather pretty, but this wasn't the time) molly, she narrowed her icy golden eyes. "I'm just peachy." She hissed through gritted teeth.

Thank the stars above that stupid Fire had kept her jaws shut, or Orchid was going to destroy something. Or someone, depended on what was closest. Anger broiled deep in her stomach, and she growled warning, back up more. If they got within clawing distance... she wouldn't be able to stop.

She was startled for a moment at Orchid’s sudden hostility, but sighed. “Orchid, I’d be lying if I said I was sure no one here would hurt you, but I can speak for myself to say that I won’t.” She then turned to the other two, a scowl plastered on her face. “You two aren’t helping. You two seem really insistent on staying and causing trouble, but don’t you want to show back to where you came from? My place sucks, and Orchid is the most interesting thing here. But you two seem to like being in your homes. What’s the point in yelling at us?” At this point, she was practically hissing at them. She looked back at Orchid, sympathy sparkling in her eyes. She scanned the other she-cat, and noticed how pretty she was. But, it wasn’t the time. She waited for the other’s answer, quirking her brow.
