Larkstorm padded into the clearing, her ears perked. What was happening now? She had better not get another apprentice. Two were a handful, and she wasn’t sure how Mistpaw would handle it. She didn’t want the young apprentice to think Larkstorm would neglect her.

The apprentice was practically buzzing with excitement at this point, half-amber eyes glittering as Shallowshiver pulled her closer with her tail. Oh, how she had missed time with her! "Whaddya mean, apologize? I know you're busy, 'cause you're a warrior. That's okay! Since everything's way calmer now maybe we can do more together! I really wanna do all sorts of things, like battles, 'n hunting, and maybe we could even spend time at a Gathering together..."

By this point Cinderpaw was practically running circles around her mother with her words. Ecstatic rays radiated off her as she realized, wait, she'd just said they could go battle training together "Ooooh, where should we go to battle?! I don't know about many good places in the territory, 'cause we never got much of a tour, but isn't there a training area? I wanna see what it's like! I'm sure Bumblepaw hasn't gone yet, and I gotta show him up, too!" She shouted, rising to her paws and bounding towards the entrance of camp. "Let's go, let's go!!"

Ivypaw trotted over, her ears picking up the sound of Aspenstar's voice. She curled her tail neatly around her paws, and sat down, pointing her nose up at the leader. The apprentice wondered what the meeting was about.

~ ROSESHINE

Roseshine had been lying in the warriors den, fairly bored, when she heard Aspemstar. Gettingto her paws, the warrior took her time padding slowly to theThunderwillow.

~ SAGEWILLOW

Annoyed, Sagewillow flattened her ears, swishing her tail agitatedly as she padded over, mingling with the gathering cats. A small frown was etched on her face, and her whiskeres twitched.

What does Aspenstar want NOW?! Sagewillow thought, watching Aspenstar with narrowed blue eyes.

The brown tabby queen padded in slowly from her walk, relieved to find that the nursery was warmer than the cold leaf-fall chill outside. She wouldn't want the cold to affect her kits.

Clearlight was starting to head towards her nest for a much-needed nap, until she noticed two small kits playing around. Oh, Clearlight loved it when kits played and socialized, but she didn't approve when they were destroying the walls of the den.

It was a major hazard. If the wall's structure collapsed, it would bury everybody in the nursery alive. Including Clearlight and these two kits.

"Tigerkit! Lightkit!" Clearlight called, worry in her voice, switching her direction to where the kits were. "What do you think you two are doing?"
