Okay... what on earth had she come back to? Nightdream could hear the yelling from beyond the camp walls, and as she pushed through the entrance, a single mouse clamped between her teeth, her heart dropped. Even amongst the rest of the shouting, she would recognize that rough voice anywhere.

She paused at the fresh-kill pile to survey the chaos as she set her catch down. Oh, was Aspenstar finally getting her dues? Some were calling out Dogbark, too, it seemed. A grimace crossed her features. Can't have one day of peace in this stars-forsaken camp, I swear. They were worse off than ShadowClan, at this point. And now Ridgeclaw was all riled up, and Dogbark seemed beyond angry...

Swallowing her worry, she quickly crossed the clearing and skirted around the edge of the crowd. "Father, please," she pleaded as she neared him. "You're going to work yourself all out of sorts. Please sit down."

Ridgeclaw was fully aware it was only a matter of time until one of his children or old apprentices came to try and settle him down and stop the lame elder from over extending himself (again). This time it was Nightdream one of the more striking of his daughters and for a time the tom tossed his options around grumbling under his breath as he did. He'd mostly said his piece though wished to remain just in case more was to be said though Dogbark had a good point, Ridgeclaw could accept that wisdom even if it was a thunderclan tradition and trait to sow a little chaos. You know what he was actually unhappy that Nightdream thought his was so frail he needed to sit! He may be down a leg and riddled with arthritis but he wasnt some dying elder he was 70 moons young thank you! Time for a lecture.


"Now Nightdream its our duty as members of thunderclan to tell the leadership if we're unhappy otherwise howre they to know what needs changing. I thought I taught you that if we languish in silence we're culpable for the degredation of our clan! And dont you tell me to sit down Im your father young lady I can still take you by the ear if need be! Furthermore I dont think....."

And there the elder was off ranting and griping in a rusty whistle endlessly about anything and everything that displeased him completely unaware he'd forgotten about the meeting entirely. Nope in his herding of Nightdream to the side to lecture her he'd ended up removing himself from the meeting and sitting down just as she'd asked without noticing and now was off on a tangent he'd eventually forget the topic of tiring himself out in the process.

One ear twisted to the side in a silent display of exasperation as Ridgeclaw launched into - yet another, and surely not the last - full-blown lecture. She peppered a few quiet "Yes, Father"'s and "Yes, of course"'s and "You know I agree with you"'s in between his sentences as she followed him off to the side, with a breath of relief. Stars, sometimes he put her beside herself with worry. One of these days he was going to run himself into the ground just by yelling, and she wasn't going to be there to catch him when it happened. Her brow furrowed as she sank a little deeper into thought. Maybe I should get someone to keep an eye on him when I go out...

Nightkit, a little stunned, got up quickly, noticing some fur on her pelt was sticking up. She quickly licked the fur down. “I’m fine!” Nightkit said, with a little too much forced cheer. She gestured to the mossball with her paw. “I think it’s your turn now.”

Nightkit looked up expectantly at the warrior. They really should continue the game so that Nightkit wouldn’t have to be so embarrassed. Her fur already felt like it was burning.

Redrock snorts and nods, fetching the mossball and tossing it back to her.

"Maybe your fur will catch it!" he purred, his eyes glimmering in amusement.

Clearlight yawned, stepping out of her nest and stretching. She blinked blearily, looking over the nursery. She could see Daykit playing around with another kit, but Nightkit….worry made Clearlight’s fur raise slightly. Nightkit wasn’t inside.

Clearlight steeled herself from marching out of the nursery right then and there to find her daughter. She was sure Nightkit could handle herself. “My kits are hopefully fine.” Clearlight said hesitantly. “Although Nightkit seems to be missing…”

Clearlight started to take a step forwards, but then swayed on her feet. Oh dear. Clearlight frowned, taking that as a sign she needed more sleep. A thought suddened occurred to her, and she looked at her nephew apologetically. “Do you mind finding Nightkit for me?” She asked.

Daykit opened his mouth to protest, but a huge yawn was suddenly ripped out of him. Daykit paused, eyes wide. What- did he just yawn that loudly? Daykit blinked rapidly. Oh, he just did.

Daykit cast a furtive glance at Rosekit to see if she noticed. Hopefully she didn’t, but Daykit had a feeling that she did. He did yawn super loudly, after all, how could she not hear that?

Daykit’s fur burned with embarrassment, and he shuffled his paws. “Sorry…” he trailed off. “I think I’m tired, and maybe sleep.” Daykit wished he had more energy to play longer. He suddenly brightened. “But maybe we can play tomorrow?” Daykit grinned.
