Shypaw was eating a very small fish in the clearing when she heard Kestrelstar’s voice ring out. It seemed he was assigning patrols. Shypaw kept a lazy ear on what he was saying so it caught her by surprise when she heard her name being called. It seemed she was going on a hunting patrol to Lionsbeach. Shypaw quickly finished what little was left of her meal before she stood up, shaking her fur. Blue eyes peered at a cat as they approached her. Oh, this must be her hunting partner, Raccoonear. Shypaw nodded in response to her questions and flicked her tail lightly to the camp entrance, signaling for the warrior to lead the way.

Raccoonear followed, allowing the apprentice to lead the way. She wanted to get to better know the apprentice, but for now just wanted to see how she handled being considered the one leading a patrol. She did this for most she met, trying to see how they would handle a particular situation and get to know their initial personality. Trailing behind Shypaw, raccoonear occasionally cast a cautious glance behind her shoulder, just to be sure some badger or fox wasn’t there.

Shimmerbird perked hear ears when she heard Kestrelstar call her name for a patrol before almost immediately having an internal panic attack. Why did he chose me to be the leader??? And to patrol the ThunderClan border no less?? StarClan help me, don't let us run into any of those tree-climbers on the patrol.

Once the young warrior was done having her mini anxiety attack she padded towards the entrance and called her patrol-mates. "D-Dragonflyfrond, Minnowpaw, we s-should head out," Shimmerbird called out, stuttering slightly as her paws fidgeted with nerves.

The Dark Lord couldn't fathom any complaints around this time. Shadowclan was distasteful - leaving a bitter taste in his mouth anytime they were spoken about - he was simply relieved to be on a proper patrol. Wormbite rose from the shadows, approaching his gathered patrol members. He gave a dip of his head in acknowledgment, his whiskers twitching with interest. Silverflight wasn't here yet.

Patrol! Her first ever patrol! The apprentice ran over to the other cat who was calling for her and her mentor. Must be the leader of the patrol. She bounced over, almost tripping over her paws, but caught herself. You could still see her wobble though. "I'm here. Not sure where my mentor is but I'm here!", she called with excitement. This was going to be so much fun.

Silverflight had just kinda been- spacing out at the clearing. She wasn’t in the mood to do warrior duties, she’d do those later. And right there, she was assigned warrior duties. More specifically, a border patrol. She felt herself groan. She didn’t like being a patrol leader, never have. But- she stopped mid-breath when Kestrelstar told her and the patrol members it was Shadowclan, they were patrolling. Shadowclan of all things. Thinking of her father made her uncomfortable, at the very least. But, she had to power through it, barely. And with having to do warrior duties while it was going to be draining, she was obviously in a mood. She padded over to her patrol mates, who had already gathered together, ready to start going.

“Don’t you two look thrilled to be here. I would say I am too. We’ll start going when you guys are ready.” She looked around a couple of times, everyone was there. She gave a small nod before starting to go, regardles if they were ready or not. They had work to do.

The silver tom flicked his tail nervously. Kestrelstar was really cracking down. He hoped they wouldn’t be late! On top of that it was his first patrol with his first apprentice! I hope I don’t mess up in front of her! He was the last one! I’m failing already! No don’t be ridiculous you’re only right behind them! He didn’t know Shimmerbird very well. She seemed nervous so as he padded up to his group he gave her a friendly ear flick and smile.

“Ok lead the way!” Dragonflyfrond’s mind raced trying to come up with what he should do with Minnowpaw on their patrol. Do mentors usually give tasks to their apprentices while their out? I don’t want to overwhelm her, this is her first patrol. I’m sure she’ll have enough to learn when we get there. He felt uneasy about his decision. He tried to calm himself down, but his pelt prickled nervously.

Shimmerbird gave a quiet sigh of relief when she saw the two cats she had been assigned to take with her were an excitable apprentice and friendly tom. Neither of them had questioned why a warrior who had only received their name at the last Clan meeting was leading the patrol which she was grateful for because if they had then she might just have burst out into tears on the spot.

The molly smiled back at Dragonflyfrond who also seemed a bit nervous before flicking her tail in a signal to follow her. "Well, let's get started. We're going to the ThunderClan border but you probably already knew that... heh," she said awkwardly, ducking through the camp entrance quickly so they wouldn't see her embarrassment.

@Mistletoe @Xmas Ang (I'll do another post in the territory real quick and then let y'all do whatever you want between Dragon and Minnow for training. I'll have my second post be Shimmer just wrapping it up!)

Lizardfrost promptly returned to camp and left her catches in the prey pile. She gazed along the camp and found the cat she was looking for. Kestrelstar.
"I've come to report our patrol at Firefly Cove. Everything went smoothly. We didn't get as much prey as I would have hoped so I'll go out and attempt hunting again later after I do my combat training." she said flatly.

As Sparrowskip came back from that very.. interesting patrol he immediately spotted Kestrelstar and walked over to him. "Hey Kestrelstar! I'm back from the border patrol and it went well... aside from Lambdream. You miight need to have a talk with him, i've never had a cat purr at me before." He said with a awkward chuckle. "Oh and, It seems some two-legs left these weird shiny things that had faces on them. I don't think its a good sign, as it could mean they're getting closer to camp." Sparrowskip doubted a two-leg would even actually find their camp but.. it was worrying that they were getting closer and closer.
