The calico responded to those who looked at him with a confident grin, ears twitching as he got a little more attention than he wished. It was all right though, he was speaking up about how he felt.
Right now...however. He felt peeved.
It felt like...well it felt like a month since Aspenstar spoke up. In reality it was nothing more than a few minutes, but it still managed to drag on. After standing awkwardly in silence, watching as the kits stood there as well, the Warrior lashed his tail and stepped forwards.
"Are you just going to stand there, or are you going to give these kits the ceremony they've been waiting for." he asked, a bored tone dripping from his words. "Lots of talk about you changing but minutes after your spheel you're back to the same nonsense." Spiderthroat looked up with an annoyed expression.
"Or can you not actually go through with your promises. It wouldn't surprise me. Great Starclan do something." he barked.

Dogbark gave a growl as he turned away, someone was speaking, a voice he knew well.
Dogbark (tired of waiting patiently for Aspenstar to do the job she was given, though she treated it like a chore) turned back around, walked back into camp, and stared Spiderthroat down. “Spiderthroat, I fully agree with you, something must be done, though considering you didn’t report in your patrol, you’re really one to talk.”
Dogbark then moved to stand behind Swiftkit [ @Binx ], Pondkit [ @Angelique ], and Sagekit [ @sid ], disappointed that the poor kits hadn’t even received their new names. “I apologize, kits, but it seems you won’t be receiving your new names right now,” Sadness flickered in his eyes, “I suggest you three head back to the Nursery for the time being.”
Aspenstar had promised to be better in this very meeting, yet now she wasn’t doing a thing! She was just sitting there for what felt like weeks! Anger was building in the tom, but he choked it down, he had to be professional.
Leaping on a root with a glare directed clearly at Aspenstar, Dogbark gave an announcement to the waiting clan, “It seems like nothing more will be happening today, I apologize for this wasted meeting, It will be made up in due time, I can tell you that.
For now, I’ll say that this meeting is over. How I wish that this meeting could have gone differently with actual proof of Aspenstar changing, it did not, so I advise you all to go back to whatever you were doing prior to the meeting being called… or even better, go out and do some hunting, we’ll be needing all the prey we can get.”
The gray tom let out a sigh of frustration through his nose at the cats still praising Aspenstar’s every word. Certainly, he’d been open to let her right all this not even a few minutes ago, but she was doing nothing, he could not just stand by anymore, so before the clan dispersed, he had a few words to say of his own. “Noble words, Flamelight, but empty promises are empty promises, and I believe you are one to put too much faith in our Leadership. Yes, I admit, it is not completely Aspenstar’s fault, as I said before, I failed to get patrols out in a timely manner, and that is on me, and once again, I completely apologize for that, and hope in time you will all come to trust me once again. Stars, though, Aspenstar is botching her new role, and I hate to say it, but I really believe that many of you are quite blind. If I were not me and I were one of you, I wouldn’t trust Aspenstar’s nor my words, and I understand that. [ @Ritsuka ]
“Leafecho, you are demonstrating this blind, ever so sightless faith, Aspenstar made a promise, yes, but there is no magical way to make one keep one’s promise, you seem to be living in a fantasy land, but it’s time you wake up and see not all promises are kept. [ @Toodle ]
“A medicine cat doesn’t fix everything, Leafwind. Sure! Medicine cats receive signs from StarClan, visions, omens, anything of that nature! But it’s the cats who are sent to enforce it who really hold up anything a Medicine cat prophecies, and right now, Aspenstar is really bombing it. [ @Dawnfallstar ]
“Hell, it’s almost as if you cats think I enjoy cleaning up messes?? Mallardstep, I get what you’re saying, but sometimes you need to understand that the lazy way of life is not ideal. Sometimes, however premature it may seem, action must be taken. [ @Mistletoe ] Dogbark took a deep breath, Stars, he’d be dead of old age before this all ended. “StarClan makes mistakes, Larkstorm. They aren’t all knowing, they’re a bunch of dead cats who aren’t any wiser than they were before they died. They’re pretty much alive, with perks. [ @Raven~ ]
“Maplewhisker! What in StarClan’s name gives you any right to speak like that to anyone?” This idiot was more than he could handle, she was first screaming at clanmates, then showing what seemed to be a very split decision on what she thought of this whole mess. Dogbark couldn’t let this slide, “Well! If you think a moon could be enough time to fix mistakes, then we’ll see you in a moon! I will not tolerate the way you are treating your clanmates, leave for a moon, fix whatever is going on that has made you treat anyone in your clan in such a way! Maybe after you’ve had time to think, I’ll consider letting you return!” [ @Berd (As I don’t really believe you should have her go missing for a month in real time, she will be exiled for a week real time, though she must have a minimum of two posts in the outskirts during that time)]
Finally having said his peice and getting the Maplewhisker problem handled in the only way he saw fit at this point, Dogbark felt like he’d aged a hundred moons and he really needed a good night’s sleep, but that wouldn’t be happening any time soon, undoubtedly questions and yelling would ensue now, and he had to be there for his clan, as it was his duty.
Oh Stars, this was one Hell of a day.

Flamelight nodded and sat back, ears twitching. That sounded like something his mentor once said a long time ago... How long had it been? Nonetheless, he was aware that something needed to be done, but he was also aware that there needed to be some help offered now and then, to make sure those words were kept. Still, the fiery tabby tom merely kept quiet.
Ears twitched as the deputy finally decided to speak up. A snort coming from the tom as he swiveled his head to look at the other. "Putting in the same ammoun'ta effort our High Ranks have been givin'. How many have we burn'd through heh?" he retorted back, lifting his head up and challenging Dogbark to report back.
"What is it you've done recently? Other than tryin ta save your own hide as Aspenstar was getting scolded. You've done just barely better than she has." he snapped. "All these cats given ta us by Starclan, and none of em are doin any good. ThunderClan has been nothing but a pathetic wimp since Duskstar." he stated. Icy blue gaze sweeping out to his Clanmates. He wasn't wrong, ThunderClan's been doing nothing but rolling over onto their belly since Duskstar took over, since than it's been nothing but pathetic leaders after another. Most of them prophasized by StarClan themselves.
"Oubviously having Ranks isn't workin. Our Medicine Cat's have been horrid one after another and ThunderClan's become a laughin stock." he barked. This wasn't the Clan he grew up to be proud in. "Why are we still listenin to what StarClan has to say when they've been wrong about who's ta lead so many times! Why are we still enlistin leaders who are oubviously unfit for the job. Deputies who do nothing. Why are we sufferin when the Leaders finally decide ta step down? When they run off to who know's where? We have been workin to keep this Clan out of the Fire, we've been working and bleedin for this Clan and what have we been given in return other than Leaders and Deputies who sit on their butt, and only act when their positions are bein questioned?"
At this point, the Calico was looking around at everyone. He was tired of it. Sick of it. Why have a system...when the system isn't working. When it hasn't been working for moons. Having a Leader wasn't working out well for them, so why not just change it up a little. Why not just put their Senior Warriors in charge, get rid of the Leader and Deputy position all together. The whole Clan gives their opinions. The whole Clan chooses what to do, and how to go about it. He was tired being bossed around by those who expect them to clean up their messes. He'd spill blood, as much blood as nessicary, to get ThunderClan back to where they once were.

The weather was bitter and wet, this obviously was a mixture even the devil himself couldn't stand. Barren branches above clattered against each other, as a frosty breeze took its toll across the dense territory of Thunder-clan. Vulture'fang felt a shiver run along his spine, and pulled his thickly furred tail closer to his body. Although the former rogue used to love this type of weather, he found himself lacking any fondness for the frost bitten ground and his numb aching limbs he developed after every nightly rest.
He took a rather large intake of breath and let it back out in an irritated manor. The weather wasn't the only thing damping his mood, it was his mental state and sanity that was more or less spiraling down into a pit of madness. Joining this wretched clan had only made his conditions worse, and the soul purpose of joining had completely vanished. He supposed that was his fault for acting on fleeting feelings. But who could blame him? Anyone would've done the same exact thing.
Vulture'fang blinked, slowly letting his thoughts disperse. No matter how unsociable he wanted to seem he gravely needed someone to talk to, and who knows? Maybe that someone could cool his nerves.... but at the moment he would have to cope with his emotions.

The massive feline listened to all of the conversations around her, her eyes still narrowed down as she lifted her head upon Dogbark's calling of her name. Hackles suddenly rising when she heard him state for her to leave for a moon. I was simply just stating my choices of what should BE made. Not being some loser and simply stating the matter-of-fact obvious problem. With a short hiss, baring her sharp daggers at the deputy, she hissed out a very toxic response. "First I try to defend our leader from being tossed off as leader, and THIS is what you repay with? Me with exile for a moon? What a deputy." She finished with a slight cackle, before lifting herself up, pointing one forepaw at the gray tom with a disgusted look upon her face. "You see? Our ranks had became somewhat weak and judged. Banning clanmates who are trying to help? How unreasonable. I don't deserve exile, but I will leave. Since our oh-so-great deputy says so." She sharply turned your head to the tom, her light yellow and blue eyes remaining narrowed as she spat out another response to the gray tom. "Good day, Dogbark. I will be back." She stated, lifting herself up and padding off towards the main entrance of camp, giving the ground simple claw marks as she left.
@Willowfern(and for anybody reacting, as well as that'll do!)

SwiftKit stared up at the grey cat upset”…is something wrong..? Why..why arnt we getting our new names?” She was the oldest there ( in her eyes at least) why was StarClan being unfair to her? Half the kits don’t even talk to her the ones that do well, they don’t like her due to her..well herself” is something wrong?” Yes she listened to the Tom but she still asked him the stupid question
sagekit stood there, waiting for the moment that aspenstar would announce their mentor - the moment that they'd finally be an apprentice and not some embarrassingly old kit. but, the moment never came. they looked away from aspenstar who stood idly, glancing at the two other kits beside them who were also waiting eagerly to get their names. claws dug into the dirt nervously, sheathing and unsheathing repeatedly as a way to self soothe.
spiderthroats words made him look down, although he agreed, he stayed silent. maybe aspenstar was just thinking of a mentor to give them? maybe she was going to change their names like lotuspaw, and a few others, and was thinking of what she would rename the three kits. they breathed, then breathed out, feeling their mouth tug downwards in a frown when they heard dogbark telling them all to go back to the nursery.
swiftkit was the first to speak about it, and they forced the frown into a straight line while she was talking. she turned around, looking at the nursery furrowed brows and blinking a few quick times before he turned his attention to the deputy. "wi-with all due respect..you're joking, right..?" he dryly asked, head tilting slightly. if spiderthroat could be quiet, that'd be wonderful - not that they disagreed with him, but they were already beginning to stress out over this all.
"you can't just go up there and give us our names and mentors..? if the leader cant do it, shouldn't you step up as deputy and take matters into your own paws?" they knew that they didn't want to wait any longer to become an apprentice, and they were sure that pondkit and swiftkit felt the same.
