The Calico stood there for a few moments, absolutely dumbfounded. He paid absolutely no mind to the Warrior who was currently trying to insult him. If he listened he felt as though he would grow to be as dumb as they were.

Icy hues flickered with disbelief and absolute, burning, anger. Everything he was just saying, everything he was pondering about was just tossed out the den entrance. He poured his heart into his observations and yet she simply yelled at Dogbark. Not a single glance at him, nor a piece of attention to his words.

It made Spiderthroat want to rip Aspenstar's throat out.

His head hurt, it felt full. Claws clutched the dirt below him. He felt as though he was vibrating where he stood. He wanted blood, he wanted violence. He let out a huff, snarling. Instead of acting on what he wanted, he simply lashed his tail, turned around, and padded out the entrance.

He needed to walk, he needed to cool off. Mentally...and probably literally. It felt as though he was steaming.

Eaglekit tumbled backwards with a surprised squeak. Huh? He turned to see what had hit him. It’s Sharpkit! Maybe he’ll play with me! Purring at the thought he didn’t catch Sharpkit’s apology, or care to. It didn’t really matter to him.

“Sharkkit! Hi! Do you want to play with me!” The brown kit bounced on his toes as he spoke. Of course Sharpkit would want to! What sane cat wouldn’t? Playing was the best! This is going to be so much fun!

[I am posting this in the clearing as Soft did leave the elders den so Ridge didn't think of another nightmare tale to tell, I'll likely only do 1-2 more posts for this comforting session with softpaw, also I know it was late, but I had a lot happening to me]

She nodded at Ivypaw, that sounded like a good idea, more than one cat to comfort these kits could show that more than one cat would be there for them in a situation like this. It was, jarring how quickly Dapplekit when to her, although it was an oddly nice feeling knowing that she could actually, try to help. ' 'It's okay it's okay, none of that will happen to you. . .none of the cats in our clan now would ever do that.' ' It was, her best advice, she saw two others kits, maybe talking, and one had run off to the nursery, what was going on in the elders mind to do something like this?

The small brown tom padded up to Softlaw and sat down. He moved uncharacteristically slow, so as not to burst into tears. His bottom lip trembled and he let out a low whimper. Suddenly his mind flashed to when him and Elmkit had snuck out of camp. Dogbark had been so angry! Had he been one mouse tail away from-from…He felt sick. Could-could I have al-al-almost caused Elmkit’s…I-I want my mom! He looked up at Softpaw as she spoke. She was an apprentice so she would know these things. Right?

“How-how can you be-be sure?” Eaglekit sniffled, a quiet tremble in his voice. He wasn’t strong enough to not cry in front of his brother. I’m such a bad friend! I’m such a bad brother! Why did I make Elmkit do that? Why can’t I keep myself together! He was always chipper. Why should this time be any different?

Blossomkit lay down on the ground, paws and tail both tucked in under her. She wanted to look for someone that would pay notice to her...or even play with her! She looked across the nursery until her gaze fixed on the small kit playing alone with the moss ball.

"Hello!" Blossomkit mewed, "do you want to play with me?"

Mallowkit sat, his tail curled tightly around his quaking body. Was HE going to be exiled, or killed? The kit's ears pressed against his head, and he realized suddenly how violently he was shaking. Mallowkit squeezed his eyes shut and hoped that he wouldn't start crying. Not here, not now, not in the midst of all these cats... His eyes popped open and began scanning for Eaglekit. Was he afraid? He hadn't at all paid attention to his brother earlier, he was too deeply interested in the story, despite its gruesome nature.
