Ryecloud’s paws didn’t want to go
farther. She had been gone for to
long and she didn’t know how her
clanmates would react. Looking at the
clearing a sense of both dread and
comfort hit her. She took a deep breath and walked into view.

Looking around Ryecloud spotted
several familiar cats. Some had
been friends, and others just
clanmates. Either way it was good
to see the cats she has missed.
She was home.

Tigerpaw looked up at her mentor. Mossnose is right! She thought. I must be strong. He knows that if I'm fast and strong enough to beat him in a race, then I must be strong enough to overcome this sickness! She stood up with shaky legs, coughing non-stop. "I... will... be... strong..." She mewed slowly, standing as straight as she could. Her weak legs gave out and she fell down. She bit back the pain of not being able to be in her own event. She hoped Raypaw was doing ok.

Mossnose was worried when Tigerpaw stood up. "Don't stand up your body needs to heal," said Mossnose placing a paw on her back to soothe her. "I hope we can get a Medicine cat soon so they can fix this, but for now get some rest."

Tigerpaw moaned in pain. She was unable to speak due to the the pain she was having. She hoped that Mossnose could understand her pain. She closed her eyes and fell into a painful and coughful sleep.

Honeystorm couldn’t find Thistlerose anywhere! She looked around, padded up and down hills. No sign of him. She gave up and decided to blow off some steam and go hunting.

Twilightstar's freaked-out expression as reaction to Fernpaw made Wolffang feel a little defensive. Hadn't she seen Coyotesnarl or whatever he was called at a Gathering in a different Clan and hadn't batted an eye? He decided not to dwell on this and listened to her response. Right now, she was sending him away, asking him to take Eldersky's kits to the nursery. Wolffang would've complied without question in the past, but now he wasn't so sure. How would Eldersky react to him taking the kits away? What if, StarClan forbid, Twilightstar didn't let the she-cat back into WindClan? What would happen with the kits then? Twilightstar was asking if it was okay for Eldersky's kits to stay in the nursery. At least Twilightstar was getting confirmation, but Eldersky hadn't said anything yet.

Fernpaw began to speak. He was apologizing to Twilightstar for not coming back sooner, and - she hadn't known about Fernpaw dying again? Surely he would've brought it up? He wondered how his older sister would react, but before she did, Wolffang decided to respond to Twilightstar's request. "With all due respect, Twilightstar, I'm not sure that it's smart to take the kits away from their mother right now. After all, even though I'm sure that things will go smoothly-" he gave Twilightstar a bit of a look, he was implying that he wanted them in the Clan "-why take the kits away before making your final judgement? Would they cope well alone in the presence of unfamiliar cats? As for me," he laid his tail across Fernpaw's shoulder, "I hope you don't mind if I stay here." He dipped his head respectfully to his leader.

Raypaw walked into the apprentice den with some prey. He had a couple birds and a rabbit in his jaws. This wasn't all for him, however. He was tasked with delivering the food to the apprentices sick with whitecough. Luckily, he hadn't been hit with the disease yet and was perfectly healthy. So of course that meant he would have to help take care of all them. He sighed and dropped the prey in a few of the sick apprentice's nest.

Then he turned to deliver the last piece of prey in the last apprentice's nest. He walked over to the curled up figure and noticed something familiar about dilute calico fur. It was Streampaw! She was a part of the sick cats? He would have thought she was too stubborn to get sick. He walked over and set the prey next to her, unsure if she was awake or not. "Streampaw? Oof, a part of the sick cats huh? Well I brought you something. Hungry?" He stood there waiting as he spoke. He didn't mention the fact that he was ordered to, so it made it sound like it was just him being considerate.

Cowpaw makes an exaggerated surprise expression to display his true curiosity. His gaze briefly sweeps over the nearby ground but to no avail, there was no beetle. His shoulder slump with only mild disappointment. It was safe to assume his ah, size had spoken the poor thing... Perhaps Cowpaw and Turtlepaw could go on an adventure to find another.

The apprentice looks back up and smiles, nodding excitedly. He lifted his paw and wiggled his toes beans before placing it over his nose. I enjoy bugs and plants, too! Aaaa, I believe my favorite bug would be... it is not a bee but a bigger fly.. I see them around the river, he replies. Dragonflies were what they were called but unfortunately, he lacked the knowledge of how to gesture that in a way they could make sense.

Cowpaw brightens as the question is redirected at him. Lovely! He quickly gestures before adding on, perhaps stars too. They are both just wonderous words. He takes a moment to pause before he begins to sign once more. If we are honest... I actually came to ask you for help.. You see I am attempting to create words and well, it is certainty a frogjumper! He giggles quietly at the last word. That is one of them, he adds.

Mouse’claw padded around the rocks. He was sniffing the air for prey, maybe he’d try and catch a snake.
Cats didn’t tend to eat snakes but he liked the way they looked. He could scare an apprentice or a kit with it. That would be funny.
Glancing around he spotted a rabbit, ducking under a rock, nibbling at the grass.
The thing was almost asking to be caught, standing in the open next to adder infested rocks in a place that no doubt reeked of cats.
Mouse’claw ducked down in a hunters crouch preparing to spring for it.

The black and white tom had been wandering the territory for a while, looking for something to do other than forlornly search for a hunting partner. It seemed that no cat wanted to hunt. Slatefrost sighed. Then his eyes caught upon a cat that was hunting a rabbit. Slatefrost froze, not wanting his movement to scare the rabbit off.

But his sudden halt caused his paw to nudge a small pebble off of a large stone, and the grey rock fell silently, until it hit the rock underneath it with a small clattering noise. The noise was enough. The rabbit bolted away, and with it, all hopes of the cat below to finish it off.
