Hopping out of the apprentices den, Rabbitpaw was ready for the day. she wanted to go do some hunting. She just couldn't do it alone, so she was going to find herself a warrior. ➢ The large dark-furred tomcat had been laying in the clearing, tearing into a scrawny hare that he had picked out from the freshkill pile. He had been minding his own business, avoiding his clanmates as usual and focusing on his own dull repetitive routine. However, Lotuswhisper’s peaceful morning of solitude seemed to soon change as a young molly bounded over to him. She meowed to him about teaching her the ways of hunting and needing a chaperone if she were to go out. Right. Apprentices couldn’t go out without a warrior’s supervision, that was the law, wasn’t it? Or maybe it was just a general rule. He didn’t know. Young cats outside of his siblings usually stayed away from him, intimidated by his cold, burly stature. Perhaps this Windclan shecat hadn’t gotten the memo - or maybe she was that desperate to go out. Lotuswhisper couldn’t decide on which scenario fitted best.

“Don’t you have a mentor for that?” His tone was low, but it wasn’t threatening. This large tomcat usually kept himself from snapping at young cats, knowing Mousewhisper had taught him better than that when he was an apprentice - Starclan rest her soul. Lotuswhisper didn’t have an apprentice of his own, nor did he seem interested in having one. He started at Rabbitpaw with his deep amber-hued eyes, watching the small shecat jump up and down in front of him. Her eyes were full of excitement and innocence, reminding him of a simpler time in his own life. Maybe he could help her. After all, Windclan surely needed new warriors, and he was going to go out hunting anyway, given the awful state of their prey pile right now. “I suppose I can take you along with me on my hunting patrol…” Lotuswhisper meowed, looking off towards the Windclan camp entrance, thinking for a moment. Almost like he was trying to convince himself otherwise, not usually taking other cats with him unless someone instructed him to. "We won't be returning to camp until we both catch something though. Windclan needs it, especially with how sick and weak our clanmates have been."

"Alright." Leopardfire whispered and smiled going into the tunnel openeing abd then chasing some of them out as she caught one in the tunnel as the bunnys scrambled. She hopoed that hazel would catch one or two as well so they could let the rest escape so they would have more food later

Bravebird
Leaf-bare still had it's iron grip on the forest, leaving the moorland barren and cold. Bravebird had done her daily duties of hunting for the Clan and patrolling the borders. Now, as her paws led her into the warriors den, the fawn colored she-cat easily found her nest and sank into it, nose tucking into her paws as she fell asleep.

(this isn't open unfortunately! just a post so that she doesn't go missing)

Hazelcloud leaped at the first rabbit that ran out. Quickly delivering a killing bite to the one, she chased after the second that fled, only for the rabbit to escape into another tunnel. No matter, they still caught three rabbits altogether.

"This is great!" Hazelcloud meowed cheerily, "Especially for leaf-bare! None of them are that scrawny!"

Hazelcloud slowed as the scent grew strong and the rabbit was barely in sight through the mist. She lowered into a hunting crouch, focusing on the rabbit.

"You can catch it if you want" Hazelcloud whispered.

(No worries!)

Honeystorm crouched and padded forward, ready to pounce. She saw the outline of the animal, which was pawing at the ground. She jumped and swiftly killed it with a bit to its scrawny neck. Her mouth was wet with blood and she walked back to her sister and dropped it at her feet.

Leopardfire nods picking up her two coming out of the other tunnel "Yeah I know let's go take them back to camp." She mews softly.

Well, this could go really good or really bad. Considering how she almost always placed unreal expectations on her clanmates, she was going to guess that this would go okay. Twilightstar felt a turmoil of emotions build up beneath the surface. It's been a while since she's felt this edgy. She was giving them a new rank at the cost of another. But in the end, she couldn't have this go on. Twilightstar knew her ranks were going to be a bit of a messing considering she thrusting an inexperienced apprentice in one of them and taking an experienced warrior out of the other.

But where she had newfound faith in one, she had lost faith in the other. So it had to be done. The she-cat could practically feel the gray hairs growing in on her muzzle. This was one of those days where she wished she had someone to talk to about stuff like this. But she only had herself to help reassure herself that this was best for WindClan.

"Let all old enough to run the moor join below the Breezerock for a clan meeting." She kept her facial expression as calm and poised as always. The last thing she needed was the clan to start doubting her certainty. She knew that she was highly respected among many of her cats, perhaps it was merely due to how long she's been standing as their leader, but the last thing she wanted to do was shake that. Leaders weren't supposed to have bad days.

Dashfoot perked his ears up and padded over to the breezerock. What could this be for? He wondered.

Vineblaze's head turned to the breezerock at his leader's call. He entered the clearing and went up next to dashfoot close to the rock. Not many cats have gathered yet. Vineblaze dipped his head in greeting. "Good day, Twilightstar" He mewed politely.

Acornnose's ears pricked up at the sound of Twilightstar's voice. A clan meeting? His eyes flicked from the breezerock to the piece of prey he had just settled down to eat. Probably just apprentice ceremonies. He didn't move from his spot outside of the warrior's den, but kept his ears pricked for any juicy news.
