Placing one paw after another, Cindersky trotted easily through the territory, navigating a few melted snow puddles here and there. With each new day, newleaf drew closer and closer and with it, the promise of warmer weather. It was certainly something the senior warrior looked forward to; unlike some in ThunderClan, her fur was on the shorter side and did little to buffer her from the whips of the frosty breezes.

Still, there was work to be done, territory to be patrolled, and prey to be caught, so instead of huddling inside the warriors den awaiting the peak of sun, Cindersky was out with her nose twitching. It caught the faint trace of outsider, and her lips drew back in a snarl. Blue eyes narrowed onto the source, though the pelt was quite familiar. "Tornclaw?" Bewilderment crossed her expression as she watched the tom and his apparent... joy. "ThunderClan has not seen you since last greenleaf. Where have you been?"

One day, the two snuck out to meet eachother a final time. Neither wished to leave their homes but they couldn’t bear loosing eachother either. What do you think they chose to do?” she asked, she wanted the kits to have some sort of input with this story, it was a good way to judge their character.

Tilting her head to the side the small she-kit seemed to think moment, "Ran away together leaving their kits behind..." she mewed quietly her ears laying flat on her head as be began remembering how her own mother had done that leaving her to never meet her biological parents. "I mean they wouldn't just leave their kits, they'd take them somewhere better-" she corrected like it'd erase her early input as her ears perked up again and she smiled pressing further into Mallowkit embarrassed at her earlier remark.

At least Sparrowflight didn't outright scream at her for not killing her sister, so that was something, but the brown tabby's eyes widened as she was asked if she would stay. Of course she would! She had come all the way back, why would she leave again? But her relaxed a little as Sparrowflight gave reasoning for asking the question. "Oh, don't you worry" she sighed. "I am confident she hates my guts." They hadn't seen each other since the raid half a year ago, and honestly Eaglesong had no idea about her sister's current life.

She shook out her fur a little and tried to refocus on Sparrowflight. "I'll just try and avoid her in any upcoming fights" that should be fine, right? "And I'll stay, I have cats I care for in Thunderclan, just one I vaguely" if even that "know in Riverclan" as the word 'love' left her mouth, she could not help but think of Nightkit. That black little ball of joy had been one of her closer friends. She was well aware he was gone, but maybe he could one day come back, like she was doing now. "Just... Just let me prove it to you."

The end of her tirade sounded somewhat insincere - but she'd moved on too quickly for her to realize. "Hunting lesson. Please. Someone should tell her it would be more productive to finally teach the apprentices than whatever damn power trip she wants to go on next." At that, Cinderpaw dropped into a tense hunting crouch, muscles bunched and claws ready to tear into something. Cinderpaw was desperate take her anger out.

Cinderpaw seemed to be the one that saved Sparrowflight from her attempts to soften the blow of the loss of their leader. Keeping her face neutral she gave Bumblepaw a nod in response to his observation. Aspenstar's leadership was cut off too soon. However, her ears swiveled towards her peer as she began her speech. Sparrowflight was pleasantly surprised at the softness shown towards Bumblepaw, however that did not excuse the harsh words stated in front of their clan as a whole.

The ghost of a frown twitched across her muzzle when she referenced the occupants of the current den as a group. Foolishness? Foolishness?! That unfamiliar fire of pride threatened to burst up once more, however her mentor's words as Nectarflame left the den pulled her back to the present and reminded her that it was not just HER dignity that had been slighted. Bumblepaw's request for a hunting lesson turned that fire down to a simmer, so Sparrowflight gave both him and her mentor a brief nod of her head.

"A hunting lesson is a grand idea," she purred, shuffling herself off to the side in preparation for a quick demonstration. "Now Bumblepaw, Cinderpaw, how much do you two already know? Could you show me your best hunting crouch?"

This would be good practice for her! She had been hoping to receive an apprentice of her own soon, so helping with a few lessons for these older apprentices should help her learn how to instruct effectively... Even if it was slightly nerve-wracking to be attempting her first lesson on front of her own teacher.

Bumblepaw gave Cinderpaw a searching glance, taking note of how tense and frustrated she was, but kept his mouth shut. She'd let loose on him if he gave her a reason to, and he was tired, and really didn't want to deal with it. Sparrowflight seemed to be rather irritated, too... both with Nectarflame. He shifted uncomfortably, once again keeping his mouth shut, and instead did his best to drop into a hunting crouch.

It was unsteady, unbalanced, and lopsided. For a cat who was thirteen moons old, he should have known more. Maybe he could have tried to practice when he was locked inside of that Twoleg den, but it was far too late now. "Not much," he admitted to Sparrowflight, rather bitterly. "No one, uh... no one ever really took us aside to teach us." Carefully, he tried to fix his stance, but wobbled and almost fell over. Okay, no more of that.
