Stagpaw was bouncing around, making sure everyone who knew him before, knew he was back and he saw a cool-looking cat. She was very pretty so he walked up and chirped a "Hello!"

Looking down at Stagpaw the black and silver she-cat dipped her head in greeting, "Hello, shouldn't you be our with your mentor it's dangerous being out on your own" she mewed stiffly her dark blue eyes bore into the younger cat in front of her.

Stag bounced on his feet "Nope! Im fine on my own. Don't let my missing leg fool ya! Im super fierce!" He said crouching into a hunting pose only to straighten up seconds later. "Do you want to hunt with me?" He asked politly.

Narrowing her eyes she scrutinized the younger cat,"I see but yours still and apprentice meaning you shouldn't be out in your own" the pretty she-cat mewed her expression staying the same throughout the whole interaction.

(Yes but Violet'Shadow is taller than most cats! She likes looking down on others and hates those taller than her )

He arrived with his apprentice at his side. He breathed in the air. "Find some mice to hunt.." He said, and looked to a mouse. He breathed in and crouched, slowly stalking towards it. He leapt with a galliant leap. He pinned the mouse. "Lets see what you can do." He said,

Stagpaw was soo happy that he swung his tail all over the place. Then he remembered what he was doing and regained his posture, readying his hunting crouch as he stalked through a bush. Surprisingly he slipped easily back into his old habits and hunted noiselessly. Mostly. He did step in an unseen dung drop, and squeaked a little when its scent flooded his nose. The mouse he was stalking looked around frantically yet he still leaped and landed on its neck. He turned to face his mentor for approval.

He winced at his apprentice's sloppy posture. But he loosened his shoulders, and looked at him sternly. "A little sloppy, I must admit, But prey is prey, no matter how you catch it." He sighed. He looked around. "Catch a few more mice, and then we can report." He said, crouching, and stalking forward silently. He looked toward a bird. The bird took off, even though it didn't know he was there. Softshadow leapt up and grabbed it's tail feathers with one paw. With the other, he raked his claws down the bird's back. He panted and brought the bird down. He flicked his ear towards his apprentice. "Carry on with hunting." He gestured towards a squirrel perched on a rock.

Stagpaw winced internally. Maybe he wasn't as good as he thought he was. Oh well, more practice makes perfect he supposed. He silently nodded then circled around the squirrel, making sure to lower his haunches and basically mimic what his mentor had done. He slowly approached the squirrel and pounced. Yes! Finally; a good, non-sloppy catch. Hopefully.
