Stag watched closely as his mentor picked off a sparrow, then whispered for him to do the same. He waited for a while, watching as a smaller sparrow strayed from the group. He noticed that it was chirping so he began chirping back the best he could. It was a crazy idea but it worked. His garbled chirping fooled the bird into thinking it was another from its flock and it came close enough for Stag to easily leap at it and snap its neck.

"I suggest we take this back now. Good job today." Softshadow mewed, in a stern tone. He carried his prey back to camp, and then went to report.

Stagpaw beamed when his mentor praised him. He was doing good! He's gonna make sure everyone knew that he was back and had no intention of going anywhere.

It picked up a hiding mouse and attempted to fly away yet it didn't know that it was prey too. Stag leaped out of the bush, clawing the bird's wings. Shaking her head she narrowed her eyes at the younger cat noticing the blood forming in the small cut on his snout, "Next time be more careful I would have tried getting the bird from above as to avoid the talons" she mewed rather plainly before scenting the air with perked ears, quickly the pretty she-cat caught the scent of mice stalking towards the scent quietly her paw steps light as to avoid disturbing the creature. Soon she was close enough to see a plump wood mouse nibbling away at something it'd found, it was rather obvious it had, had either a good leaf-bare it had eaten a lot since the beginning of new leaf. Pouncing on the creature with claws extended she landed in it gracefully before nipping it's neck taking the plump creatures life.

Stag aimed to be like that, so quiet that no one could hear him. He stalked through a bush, finding a mouse nest at the base. He stuck his claws in and snagged three mice out, quickly ending their lives, before trying to fish out more. They all ran away, however, so he was plumb out of luck. As he shimmied out of the bush, mouse in maw he remembered; technically Apprentices arent supposed to leave the camp alone. He turned quickly to Violetshadow whispering "Can you please not tell Cindershy that I left camp on my own? She'll kick me out again and I just got back! I'll never do it again! Promise!"

A bit shocked by the jester the she-cat brushed it off her expression remaining neutral, "The clan needs more warriors, we'll have to drive Dawnstar out eventually" she mewed, the Shadowclan leader irked her she'd hardly returned to camp or even attended meeting only when she felt necessary did she return to camp deposition the prey she'd caught and hearing what had happened by listening in on the other warriors of Thunderclan. Shaking the thoughts from her head the she-cat began Padding towards camp prey in jaw she left the apprentice to follow.
