His eyes only revealing this was a tip of the iceberg,he prayed that she wouldn’t notice the look in his eye. He was still recovering from the taste of blood in his mouth though. The faint tang still hitting his nose as he gave a weary smile. He was just trying to get her to leave his personal feeling alone. He wouldn’t allow her to see that side of him,the not so nice or pretty side of his emotions,all the hate and anger that slowly building a new shelf in his head. He allowed the other shecat to clean his pelt slowly,hating every second though,he felt like a kitten getting taken care of,all though he never had a mother that truly loved him or his sister Doghound,only their brother Deerpelt.

|| Heather’Tail sighed, her tail twitching in disbelief. The brown, lightly dappled molly shook her head as she finished grooming Moose’Dusk, gazing into his eyes; Poor Moose’Dusk… Heather’Tail rubbed her muzzle against his neck fur, placing a paw on his and leaning into his fur. Heather’Tail breathed slowly, they should probably head back soon, since they seemed finished here and both had some prey to bring back. Standing with a weary smile on her face, Heather’Tail turned and flicked her tail, signalling for the two she-cats to head off. Of course, the brown molly knew that Moose’Dusk wasn’t ‘alright,’ she decided to leave the topic, as her mate didn’t seem to want to talk about it.
“Wanna head back?”
Heather’Tail asked, picking up her hare and padding back over to Moose’Dusk. ||

You know when you make a decision and then you immediately regret the decision but you can't take it back. That is how Twilightstar felt after sending Fallownose out with her cats to aid RiverClan in whatever problem they had. It felt a little hasty now that she thought a bit about it, Kestrelstar and Lionstorm were the only two leaders who actually put in the effort to aid WindClan, but by denying support to their successor, Skystar, would that be the same as damning the former leaders? The WindClan leader was extremely conflicted about this... but she knew in her heart that she couldn't turn away the request. Though her clan may have forgotten it, Twilightstar will always remember the cats that helped WindClan at their lowest.
Still, she needed to figure out how to make this work without getting overly involved in the feud against ThunderClan. She knew that she was not fond of ThunderClan at the moment and she held little to no remorse for fighting them, what really had her worried was if her clanmates would suffer again because of her decisions. Will they turn their backs to me again? She watched them do that to her once before, joining ShadowClan of all clans, because she was unable to protect and provide for them as a leader should. She tried to show them that WindClan was strong... no that was a lie.
She had tried to show them that she was strong enough, good enough to be their leader by raiding ShadowClan.... now look at the pain she brought them in return, Ashfeather, Deadpool, Nettlespark, Fernpaw, Yellowpaw, Breezefeather, Coyotesnarl, and the names went on. So many deaths and for what, because she was scared they abandon her. Now she finally got them out from underneath ShadowClan's claws to what! Throw them into ThunderClan's, a fight that wasn't theirs. It was for a good cause, it was, but was it really....
The WindClan leader's ears shot forward at the sound of her name called. Twilightstar composed herself as best she could, fighting off the urge to race out of her den, and padded out of the entrance and over to her deputy. Visibly, she appeared as stoic and tranquil as the moon, but that single green eye of hers bled with unspoken concern as she looked Fallownose over. Her deputy's report was short and simple, at the moment she couldn't even be upset at the cats that failed to heed the call for battle, she was just overwhelmingly relieved that WindClan wouldn't be burying any more of their clanmates today.
"You can punishment the warriors that didn't show up and Cricketfire as you wish, but I'm simply glad you all came home safely." The leader meowed earnestly, Twilightstar literally could not handle choosing another deputy after all of this. "You should rest, and if you have time, check in with Cowpaw about herb and see if he needs herb patrols added to the regular ones." The she-cat meowed and sighed loudly after.
"Oh, before you go, assuming Skystar was a part of the battle, can you tell me how he was?" Twilightstar was still curious about what kind of leader she was dealing with. Hearing they had lost the Cove, Firefly Cove, meant little to her. That chunk of territory originally belong to ThunderClan anyway. What she wanted to know was if Skystar would continue retaliating in his own way as Kestrelstar had done. Regardless, she should take some prey and pay a visit to RiverClan herself, once she worked out what she was doing about her current dilemma.
Fallownose dipped his head at Twilightstar's reply and gave a twitch of his ears to acknowledge what she said about Cricketfire. He was glad that everyone had made it back safely and without serious injury. The battle had been a bloodbath and not at all worth it. Especially with how Skystar had acted when Snowleap had called the retreat. It was worrying.
"Yes, Skystar joined the battle, but it was Snowleap who called for the retreat. I assume he is the new deputy of RiverClan, but that's beside the point. RiverClan seemed to have lost many more cats than ThunderClan, and when Snowleap wisely called RiverClan to retreat Skystar got angry. It seemed like wanted to keep fighting for the Cove no matter the cost. I didn't see the very end as that's when I summoned WindClan to retreat, I did not want our cats to be a part of whatever was going to happen next."
The deputy had initially been proud to lead the patrol of cats into battle to show RiverClan and ThunderClan what they could do. Now he only felt exhausted. The wound on his shoulder throbbed and his muzzle stung, and it was all for nothing. Even if RiverClan had won Fallownose didn't think it would have been worth it.
However, now wasn't the time to discuss the RiverClan situation with Twilightstar. He was exhausted, and so was the leader presumably since she still seemed to be recovering from the battle at the Sky Glade. "I should see Cowpaw, but perhaps once we've both recovered we should have a discussion about the situation. ThunderClan still appears to be leaderless and Skystar doesn't seem like he's going to take the loss without a fight. I fear it's only going to get worse in the future," he murmured before dipping his head one last time and making his way to Cowpaw's den.

Streampelt listened intently as Twilightstar responded and Streampelt's green eyes lit up with happiness as Twilightstar seemed to make a final descision. Streampelt nodded, trying not to do the action too fast to not show how happy he was. "It's alright if the others don't accept us. As long as me and Shadowheart are together, we can deal with any judgement that comes our way. And for the warriors overseeing us, that's fine with us. Thank you Twilightstar." Streampelt dipped his head before shooting a smile at Shadowheart. @Moonraven @Nixey
The kit raised his head a mewed to his sister, Fallkit [ @Dawnfallstar ] "He probably doesn't want to play, mouse brain." in a split decision he opened his blue eyes so he could see where Fallkit was, instantly he paused.
The bright colours of the nursery were surprisingly bright to the young kit and he screwed his eyes shut, stuffing his face into his white mother's [ @spirit free ] side so that no light filtered into his eyes. "FireFlame...! It hurts! I don't want my eyes open!" he sobbed, his mother white and black from his observations before he shut his eyes. Do I look like her..?
He looked at his brother with a look

They lifted their head, glaring at the cat who spoke to them. Are they a mousebrain or something? Ratwhisper had to just sit there and watch multiple cats die. Riverclan lost. How could one not be angry? Sure, Windclan was okay, but what about the other cats? The cats who lay dead in the grass? Were their families okay?
" Well, it's almost like a battle just happened, mousebrain. "
Spidarclaw sighed "yeah, i know, but just because one side lost doesn't mean it's the end of the world..."
