Letting in a slight grunt "I saw something out of camp that seemed.." He paused trying to think of the best way to describe what he'd seen without getting the embarrassing part through. "Out of sorts i guess fits?' looking up at fallow then continued "besides i didn't think i'd get lost"
Fallownose nodded at the explanation and smiled softly at the kit. "I'm glad you found your way back. Next time you see something strange, though, make sure you tell a warrior instead of investigating, alright?" With that the deputy motioned for Rapidkit to follow as he led his way towards the nursery.

Fallownose glanced up as the pounding of Shattervenom's paws sounded behind him just in time to see her skid to a stop so she wouldn't shoot by him. His whiskers twitched in amusement as he gently picked up his bundle between his jaws and waited for the molly to complete her task before starting to head back.
The deputy's pace slowed, however, when Shattervenom called for him to wait. His head cocked slightly in curiosity as she caught up and he placed his bundle down so he could respond to whatever she said. The warrior bringing up not meeting expectations was the last thing he expected.
"I'm not sure I quite see where you're coming from, Shattervenom. While you didn't complete the patrol, the reason for it was well intended." Nevertheless the deputy continued to listen without further interjection as the black and white molly continued. Fallownose's face remained in a neutral expression even as he struggled internally in confusion at her words. Why would she want another punishment when the issue seemed to be emotional?
"No need to apologize, but I'm going to be honest and say I'm not quite sure why you want another punishment. You perform your duties well, this is the first time you've ever been punished, and what you described seems more like a lack of personal connection with your Clanmates than a disciplinary issue. However, working with Clanmates during a punishment to get it completed can be a way to form bonds, so when we get back, I will assign you to clean a den along with the others who have not finished if that is still what you want."
The slate gray deputy waited a moment to see if Shattervenom had anything to add before offering a friendly smile and picking up his bundle once again. It was time to head back and see who needed to be punished for slacking off, and who had to be sent to temporary exile for not showing up at all.
Fallownose padded back into camp, pausing briefly to set the marigold he had collected at Cowpaw's paws and offer the medicine cat a friendly smile, before heading over to the base of the Breezerock to call out further punishments. Which it seemed everybody needed, and that was quite annoying.
"Okay, so clearly this didn't work. Not only were patrols not completed, but now the punishment hasn't been either. I don't like being harsh, but this unnacceptable from members of WindClan. Shattervenom, you will take Icepaw and Hawkpaw to collect moss and then change the bedding in the nursery. Coyoteear, Lioncloud, Ashfall, and Sorrelhawk are all temporarily exiled for failing to show up for punishment at all. Dismissed."
The deputy's face was cold, a complete contrast to what it had been moments before when he was outside of camp with Shattervenom. He hated to do this, but WindClan didn't need cats who couldn't complete patrols and then didn't bother to show up for punishments.
