pawsteps outside the den were followed by coughing as sunchaser's head appeared in the entrance. "sundust, are you avalible?" without waiting for an answer, he padded into the den and flopped to the ground.
Lifting her head from where she had been resting, Emberpaw fixed her amber gaze on her mentor. "Yes, Cinderstar," she replied as she hoisted herself from her nest, leaning back into a quick stretch. This was what she had been waiting for, the final piece of her training that she needed. With a determined lash of her tail, she gave a nod to show she was ready.
blazekit lifted his head hearing Cinderstar he smiled, he got up and adjustide his laying, he braced his disable leg as he layed back down, he sighed sad" i wish i was so useless" he spoke softly with his ears low

Emberkit glanced over at Blazekit. Cinderstar had walked in. She went to the other kit, stepping on his paw purposely. "You're not useless. You're not the one who ran off to chase a butterfly and got lost for a moon!" She meowed, smiling at him.
Oops. She wasn't the best thrower ever. But it was okay, because Cindy wasn't mad, she just chuckled and went to get it. The rosetted kit waited patiently, an expectant and eager smile up her youthful face. "it's super fun!! I'm really good.. C-cause I've been practicing. My dad said... A-and long time ago that I was gonna be the greatest catcher in the whole Clan!" She didn't add how that had been a long time ago, and daddy had been gone for at least a moon now. The two moons of her life she had been alive, she only had a daddy for half and a mean mommy for most, which she wasn't too happy with. But it was okay, because mom was teaching her cool stuff, so she wasn't complaining. At least, not too much.
Cindy also smiled a lot. It was nice. It caused the kit to grin in return. The mossball came flying, and Ashenkit outstretched her paws. It thumped against one of her paws gently. "Can my warrior name be Ashenwolf? That way it'll be like my daddys." Her daddy was great. "You were my daddy's mentor, too, I think. That's what Olivemama says." She added airily, lifting up the mossball and tossing it at the leader. Yes, that was a very good throw.
Cinderstar
Hearing the report of how the patrols had been going, Cinderstar couldn't stop the disappointment from crossing her face. Not in Sparrowflight, but in the fact that ThunderClan warriors were falling back into old habits. That certainly would not do, especially if they wished to become a Clan once more in the eyes of their neighbors.
She was glad to hear of the idea of doubling the hunting patrols. "Good idea. I agree that the extra patrols will hopefully help supplement any warriors that fail to do their duties. Perhaps, we can even look at sending out mentor and apprentice duos for the extra hunting patrols, so that our warriors can catch two mice with one claw." Catching prey for the Clan while also teaching their apprentice how to do the same, so that they were ready for when they became warriors.
With a nod of her head, she let silence fall after her last words, her eyes glazing over something of a more serious nature. "There was one more thing I wanted to talk to you about... And that was about a certain elder I'm sure you have noticed who is no longer in camp." A slight droop of her shoulders, but nothing too major, as she spoke of Ridgeclaw. Their former mentor, gone from camp without a trace. He was rather old, and though Cinderstar knew he could handle himself she couldn't help but be worried for his safety.

Mentor and apprentice hunting duos... That definitely sounded like a good idea to perhaps reinvigorate some of Thunderclan's members. It would also get some of their apprentices valuably training and bring new warriors into their ranks sooner rather than later. Humming agreeably in response, Sparrowflight gave a slow nod of her head as she mentally filed that point away in her to-do list for the next batch of patrols she sent out.
However, she was quickly pulled from her internal musings as Cinderstar's tone and body language turned a bit more serious (and slightly tired, but Sparrowflight certainly wouldn't comment on that). The slight slump of shoulders was mirrored on the tan molly as she realized this next part of their conversation centered around their shared mentor.
"Stars above, please tell me you haven't found a body," she breathed out, green eyes turned up to the roof of the den almost desperately. "I don't think I could handle another burial so soon, and stars know I haven't been able to find hide nor hair of the grumpy-gus on my runs throughout the territory."
If Ridgeclaw was dead... Sparrowflight wasn't sure WHAT she would do. At least if the old codger had wandered off there was a chance of returning him home, but the alternative hurt far too much for her to even consider.

Emberkit looked at Blazekit closer. "Oh, I'm sorry that you are blind. But look on the bright side! Just because you're blind doesn't mean you will be a horrible warrior one day!" The kit put her tail on the other kit's shoulders.
