It had been long since she walked onto Shadowclan grounds. She had been just stuck in camp during a long rainfall season. “What will we hunt today?”

"Erm..." he perked his ears in thought. "Let's start small. We can start out with mice and if we find anything else, we can hunt it."

The tom smiled and continued forward and through the entrance, keeping his stride with the energetic apprentice.

Vixensnarl snorted at Meadowleap's response and raised a paw. She made a shooing motion like one would do if an annoying kit were bothering them. "You really are. Now shoo. I don't have time to entertain you and your stupidity." The molly hoped another cat would come over, preferably one more competent, so that she could have an actual conversation with them.

Bluebellpaw bounded over to a bush. “Do you think a rat’s hiding in here?” she mewed, nosing the bush and peeking inside-

“Eeek!” she squealed, scrambling back as a crow flew out, cawing. Bluebellpaw frowned. If only she knew there was a bird’s nest in there! Ferretburr would think that she was a mousebrain!

Ferretburr did not answer the question, he only watched as Bluebellpaw nosed her way into the bush and jumped back as a crow flew out. What was she thinking?! he grimaced as Bluebellpaw frowned. What’d she expect?

“Try using your nose next time and smell if there’s anything in there,” Ferretburr rolled his eyes. “If you nose your way through everything, all the prey you are going after will run and it’ll be lost. Now, stop looking for prey in camp and go out into the territory.”

With that, the cream colored tom walked away, out into the territory. He only hoped Bluebellpaw would listen to him. Who knows if she actually would?

The dark tom stretched as he walked out of the medicine cat's den, his den. Shaking off the scent of herbs, her tried to leave the dankness behind him as he soaked in the fresh breeze in the camp. Work had seemed to slow a little but then so had his learning. He was getting real paws-on work with some of his clanmates but it wasn't going to be enough in the long-run. He'd need to go out and try to get his own learnings once again. Ivysnake knew the basics, he was sure he could leave the clan with her for a couple of days while he figured out how to gain more herb and healing knowledge.

Elmshadow let his dark emerald gaze sweep over the clearing, stopping suddenly on a familiar little tortoiseshell. He sighed a little, caught off-guard some by a strange sense of relief. He'd had other kits disappear from camp and he'd searched for them but if they were stupid enough to run off then they had no place being in Shadowclan and recognized as his kin anyways. Seeing Burningkit felt a little different though. He'd simply assumed the kit had disappeared with the rest of his family. His mate and two of their eldest daughters had disappeared along with their youngest litter. To see Burningkit gave him some hope. Maybe they'd all returned. He took a step towards his youngest kit, slowing to glance at the nursery as he considered taking a look inside, but ultimately chose to approach Burningkit before he got too ahead of himself.

The grey and black warrior approached his daughter, looking down at her stonily. "Where have you been?" He didn't know what else to say, or ask, and decided against bringing Goldenstep up until he got more information from Burningkit.

Burningkit wasnt really sure who she expected to approach her first, really. Thankfully it wasnt some cat who had a weird interest in berating kits, nor was it a cat younger than her who wanted to get an ego trip. A sigh left her as sh glanced around once more, sharp amber eyes picking through the assortment of pelts around her. Some seemed familiar enough - she wasnt gone long enough to feel like an outsider just yet - but a few were...new. Be it former loners or formerly missing cats much like herself, the clan had grown during the moons she had been missing.

Still, one pelt in particular grabbed her attention. It was someone who she was sure she could have recognized no matter what. "father" she greeted smoothly, or as smoothly as one could considering the circumstances. She sat down in front of him, her half-missing tail tucking close to her body. "I left camp on my own. I already understand how foolish that was, and Dawnstar scolded me for it already. A twoleg injured my tail and took me to its den, which is where i've been the past moons" she replied, short and to the point.

Raccoontail swished his large plumed tail heading into the clearing, jumpy as can be stepping their paws one step after another. Then sat down and listlessly stared around the clearing. His long fur stretched lowly as it blew in the buzzing wind.

Willowpaw didn't think the tom had seen her laying not to far off, but her being her, she scooted back to give the long haired tom more room, making a bit of noise. She froze, her multicolored eyes on the ground, pretending like nothing had happened. She couldn't help being so nervous around others, she couldn't figure out her sentences half the time, and when she did, it mostly around her mentor. Why was communicating so difficult? She noticed his longer fur, something they had in common, only difference was her colors, she had a white pelt with black and dark brown spots. She continued looking at her paws, and didn't see if the other tom was looking at her.

Maplepaw came out into the clearing with his head held high. He hadn't been an apprentice for very long, so he had no clue what Dawnstar had in store for him. Whatever it was, he was ready and would fight for ShadowClan in a heartbeat- only if he knew how to fight, of course. Dawnstar wouldn't appreciate his thinking if he attacked and didn't know anything about fighting.
