She paused, she looked as if she was thinking back on something. "I believe a patrol found it, not too soon after said battle." She flicked an ear. "Acornpaw was it?.. Youre a new apprentice, aren't ya? Who is your mentor?"

Acornpaw paused with the tick treatment, meeting eyes with the elder. "Yep. Thats me.." He said sheepishly. "My mentor's Jaggedfrost." He blinked away images in his mind, of a patrol of cats finding a stray eyeball. Note to self, do not do battle cleanup. @Cxndy_Fatal

She gave him a bright smile. "Thats great Sugarfur. Have you done much training yet?" She asked kindly, giving her chest a few licks, subconsciously curling her tail around Acornpaw. "You remind me of IvyDusk, when she was an apprentice. Shes my daughter.''

Acornpaw smiled at them. He opened his mouth to correct them on his name, before realizing that was probably just grandma slang. "I haven't done much training, Jaggedfrost is really busy." Despite not knowing his mentor that well, he still admired them. "Ivydusk? What are they like?" He mewed, dabbing mouse bile on a tick while still keeping eye contact. @Cxndy_Fatal

Thrushfur kept his posture before feeling Fallowkit bump into his leg, he chuckled before picking them up by the scruff and sitting them up right. All the kits seemed to be able to open their eyes, one had eyes like his. While two had beautiful green eyes like their mother. He smiled looking down at Crowkit too as he curled his tail around them. As he yawned, his training sessions with Weaselpaw have been getting to him. Probably just overworking with his duties. He hasn't feel the touch of his bed in a while, his paws tingled to be able to sleep just once.

"Heh.. Ivydusk passed to starclan long ago, young'in. She was an amazing warrior, favoured by many of her friends. Her and her mate went missing one day, and never returned, I was told her body was found, her mate's wasn't. Her mate was in riverclan, their kits are there too.. Frecklepaw and Foxpaw, I think they were named."

((im gonna say this took place after the gathering, for dramas sake- also, acornpaw now knows that frecklepaw is half clan so that might be useful for arguments hehe (probably wouldnt mention it unless freckle really did something bad- for clearwhispers sake)
At the mention of Frecklepaw, Acornpaw's claws suddenly clenched, and mouse bile dripped onto the elders pelt, and stained Acornpaw's fur. "Ack! Sorry, sorry." He broke eye contact, lowering his head and trying to get the mouse bile out of the elders fur. The hair on his neck rose ever so slightly. @Cxndy_Fatal

"Are you alright, sugarheart?" She shifted, looking up at him with a confused look, airplane ears. She felt bad, had she said something wrong? Was it because her granddaughter was halfclan? She shrugged a bit, maybe Frecklepaw and Acornpaw had met at the gathering?

Quailfur stopped her grooming to see the brown tom enter the nursery. Carrying 2 fresh voles. Her belly rumbled at the sight of it, drool built up in her mouth. Manners Quailfur! Her kits jumping all around the nursery with no sense of direction just yet made her heart burn with love. As she swished her tail seeing Thrushfur drop the vole in front of her. Now that their father has come, all of her kits seemed to be attracted to him and immediately crawled to him.

She felt that they would feel very attached to their father in the future. She scooted over to Quietkit and picked them up by the scruff, laying them near her paws where they would be with the rest of the family. She sniffed the vole before nibbling into it. Looking up to Thrushfur with thankful eyes. Mewing a small "Thank you" as she continued to nibble into the voles side.
