He stalked forward with his tail held high in confidence to a sunny spot in the clearing and plopped down, his belly facing the sun. It was very warm out, but he didn't mind. One thing he was able to do without much bother in his old home was sunbathing, something he'd always love.

Fallownose had come to check on Cowpaw and see if he needed anything when low and behold, there was Rosekit, who had been missing. He glanced between her and Cowpaw, concerned about why she was in the medicine den. Had she been injured?
"Rosekit, you've been missing. Are you alright, and what happened while you were gone?" The "are you alright" part was more directed to Cowpaw since he seemed to be treating whatever was wrong with the kit.
Patchkit opened her eyes "ok!" I wonder where it could be... she thought, looking around
Patchkit looked around the corners, trying to not miss any spot that a mossball could be hid "hmm...". Patchkit kicked a peble and followed the kicked pebble around
She looked at the spot she hid the mossball last time that seems too easy...but i'll look still!
Patchkit looked behind the rock, and saw a green fuzzy ball, it's the mossball!
"yey i found it!" she meowed "what a smart place to hid it!" grabbing the ball and pulling it out using her little jaws. Patchkit dragged the mossball over to Goldenkit "alright friend! I'll go hide the mossball now!" she said "you can close your eyes now and i'll hide it!" I wonder where i should hide it after Goldenkit closes her eyes... Patchkit thought
Goldenkit mewed happily to herself before she saw Friend Patchkit with the mossball. Knowing the drill, Goldenkit laid back down and covered her eyes with her small paws, counting to herself. I wonder where Friend Patchkit will hid the mossball, she thought cheerfully.

Cowpaw clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth, nodding and taking the hint to no longer press for information. It was an understandable cause. At the second question, the medicine cat stilled. Cowpaw assumed that because Scalepaw had left camp without a warrior and then to even follow his mentor to the Starcave that it was worth to note. He debated for a few moments before nodding. "Yes, please..? Explain to him what happened .. and Scalepaw's injuries.." He gestured, nodding firmly. Cowpaw would leave it up to Fallownose what happened after Scalepaw healed but for now, bed rest.
With a flick of his tail, he turned to Scalepaw. The apprentice really hadn't said .. anything since he had arrived. Cowpaw frowned worriedly, he supposed it could just be the shock, but it still made him very nervous! Head injuries were a much more difficult subject, and he didn't know where to start there. "Uhm, pardon me.. but.. I know this is just, golly, .. not very best but.. is there anything I can get you.. or do.. to make you more.. comfortable?" Cowpaw questioned.

Cowpaw blinked twice and then another as a weight begun to lean onto him, oh. Oh, oh deary so, he could not stand to see Turtlepaw so .. sad. It didn't belong, it wasn't .. right. Cowpaw just wished he could fix it. He wished he could fix everything. He reached an oversized paw to brush away Turtlepaw's tears if his friend would allow him.
The medicine cat was glad to hear that Turtlepaw was alright, even if it seemed .. to not be true in the slightest - he was glad to be here. Cowpaw attempted to lay his tail over Turtlepaw's hindleg, "I.. wish I could.. make all the pain.. go away... you do not deserve this.." He gestured, freezing the moment the apprentice seemed to droop even more with sadness. Oh, oh no! Golly, had he done something wrong to upset him?
He could feel his eyes begin to water, frowning softly as Turtlepaw further added on to his statement. He shook his head rapidly, "No.. no! It will, it will.. I understand.. I can not make you believe that, but I mean it .. truly! I am, so sorry, that they are gone.. that must be so difficult to handle but.. I am sure they love you.. and that.. they wish the best to you.." Cowpaw tried to tap Turtlepaw's chest. "You have a good heart.. and I want.. to help. I'm here for you.."
He took in a deep breath, smiling softly at the tom even if he didn't all feel very smile-y if you will.

This was interesting! Cowpaw's eyes sparkled with interest as Dappledfern talked of her adventure. Then, it simmered because oh no, what if she had hit her head and it was causing memory loss? He stilled, staring at the ground in thought for a brief period of time. That would be awful! He didn't know how to treat that, whatsoever! Cowpaw hadn't been faced with anything grave that he couldn't treat but .. if untreated, maybe he should talk to Snakeheart if he could...
His head jerked up when Dappledfern spoke again. Cowpaw nervously shuffled with his paws, hoping he hadn't missed anything she had said. He was just, what if it had something to dooo... with Starclan? Hm? He had to be curious. Naturally. This was another scorchscratch because when observing the cracked paw pad - .. he realized he had no idea on what to do with that neither. Hm. Cowpaw nodded, slowly rising to his paws. It did not mean he didn't have an idea.
Typically, he was very, very, VERY!! Against anything involving taking risks. That was just uncalled for, his clanmates' health was not something to test. However, the medicine cat was well aware that his predicted treatment would only have no effect or it would help Dappledfern's issue - if it helped, it helped. Cowpaw retreated back into his storage and grabbed his marigold and the old honeycomb his clanmates had collected for him. Along with moss, but he had to make a trip out of his den to dip it into a nearby stream.
Padding back to Dappledfern, he sat down in front of her. "I will.. be completely honest.. I am not particularly sure what I can do to treat your paws.. that is not something I have been taught. Though.. I .. I do have an idea.. if you are comfortable with me trying it? If not.. then I can check your .. cuts and we can be done.. There is no pressure.." Cowpaw explained, licking his paw that had got a little bit of honey onto it. Hehe. It was yummy.

Cowpaw wondered how many times he could change the layout of his den until he eventually loss all clue on what he could possibly do. It was as if he had all this time on his paws that felt wasteful to do nothing with it. The medicine cat couldn't hunt, nor could he defend himself. He could gather his herbs and seek out knowledge. He worked to interact with his clanmates but, still. Cowpaw sighed softly to himself, he really needed to ask a warrior or Fallownose to teach him a few lessons. Perhaps, maybe he could be put onto a border patrol? Oh! That was a great idea! He let out a happy squeal, pushing the final nest to the opposite side of the main part.
If he had to be honest, Cowpaw may have jumped slightly when an clanmate entered into his den. He had not expected it, and stars, he felt horrible the moment looked to see who it was. He couldn't place a name to their face but, they were .. crying and it simply broke his heart to see them like this. Especially, considering they seemed to be rather young. Cowpaw waved his tail in greeting, nodding up and down, though he wasn't sure if they could see it.
In a few moments, the gentle giant returned with his essentials. Marigold and cobwebs because he saw the obvious wounds across their pelt but .. Cowpaw also brought a seedless poppy flower. Naturally his reasoning was no one could refuse a flower. He approached the clanmate and, oh! Oh! It clicked into his place when he properly caught onto the markings and scent. Beepaw!! He set the poppy flower down and pushed it towards Beepaw, hoping that would catch onto her attention and make her look up.
"Hello, hello..! Here to well, I'm here to help..! You can sit .. where ever is .. comfortable.. uhm, I'm sorry if things.. are a little messy..?" Cowpaw gestured, chuckling lightly because he found that if he appeared lighter - softer, it seemed to ease those around him. So, if he was doing his best to appear shorter than usual then, shhh. "Pardon me.. I know.. sometimes things can be a bit difficult to talk about .. so you can ignore me.. if.. if you wish! But, aa, are you.. alright? These - " He paused in his gestures, chewing nervously on his bottom lip. He did not smell a scent of a predator on Beepaw but those were clearly claw marks. "Is there.. a way I can help..? Well, .. more - more than just... treating your wounds..?"

Cowpaw nodded, his gaze drifting to Cloudykit and never leaving for a moment. He laid his tail over the little one, gently trying to awake him from his slumber in worry. Logically, Cowpaw knew that Cloudykit would eventually come to, but he still could not stop his paws from tingling with anxiety.
Turning back to Maplekit, he offered a smile because he was the older one in this situation. Showing his own panic would do nothing but cause issues. "Thank you .. for bringing him here, then.. I am glad you are alright .. Cloudykit will be perfectly alright.. He just needs rest.. and time.. I did what I could for now.. but could you do me a favor, dear..?" Cowpaw asked, "Could you let Cloudykit's.. parents know what.. happened? I - would have difficulty .. doing so, if not.. that is alright but, then you should go to... your own.." He suggested gently, his tail wrapping around himself.
"I am sure.. they are quite.. worried.. where you have been.."

His.. his brain was becoming very,, ... melty. Cowpaw was pretty sure Rosekit even could tell how confused he was which, uh, a little, little bit embarrassing. He did his best, truly, just, there was nothing he could do to help Rosekit. Cowpaw felt as if he had to, and now he was beginning to hmm on an intense level. "M..maybe.. try.. to squeeze water into them to clear.. whatever.. up.. with.. wet moss..?" He piped up, nodding. Cowpaw wasn't even sure what Rosekit suspected from him. Unless it was a wound or greencough, he was out of solutions.
The medicine cat still went on to ponder a bit before Fallownose entered into his den. Oh! He turned to the deputy, waving his tail in greeting. Cowpaw mentally went with another, very, loud oh. Hrmgh. He was going to become a puddle he decided. He was going to become a puddle, most definitely. Cowpaw gave a small shrug, "She's perfectly alright... There isn't.. really anything I can do with eyesight.."

The ginger lifted her head from her paws and looked back at Friend Patchkit after she heard her friend say that it was time to open her eyes. Thinking that it was now time to find the mossball, Goldenkit mewed, “I bet I’ll find it more quicker than last time!” She padded away and searched for the green ball.
As a couple heart beats went by, Goldenkit went from searching to calculating. She tried every nook and cranny she could think of, and yet could not find the mossball. After she failed her calculations, she realized that the ball must be in the same hiding spot again! It should be there, it should be! And it wasn’t there….
Goldenkit’s eyes started to blur somehow as she tried once again to search the nursery. “Where is it? Where? Did I… did I lose it?” she gasped as she wailed. She stared at Friend Patchkit. “I, I lost the mossball,” she muttered, loud enough for Friend- no, she won’t think of me as a friend anymore! She will think of me as a den-mate who loses stuff! Goldenkit thought.
