Ears going back, she felt the sharp claw of grief latch itself onto her heart. She had not been expecting yet another death to come ThunderClan's way. So many had happened recently that Cinderstar was finding it difficult to believe this wasn't some sort of sign from StarClan. And hearing it was the same rogue who killed Snowcloud. Well, at least that cleared Smokeclaw from suspicion of her death - not that it would be enough to bring him out of exile as he was still a danger to the Clan.

"I'm sorry to hear that... Robinflight was a good warrior." He had been, from what Cinderstar recalled. She still recalled the time he brought Snowpaw out into the territory when she was still a kit, but since then he had been a rather dependable Clanmate. "Are you two alright?" She checked them over for any signs of injury that she could note.

Mapleleaf overheard Thunderblaze and Violetpaw talking with Cinderstar and looked at the pair. She couldn’t quite hear what was going on, but it was clearly something upsetting. She padded over to stand beside Thunderblaze and heard that Robinflight had been killed. By a rogue.

“Oh, Thunderblaze, Violetpaw,” she whispered. “I’m so sorry…”

She then got closer to her mate and nuzzled his neck fur with her nose. StarClan watch over Snowcloud and Robinflight… and Thunderblaze and Violetpaw.

“D-do… do you know who it was that did it? Was it Smokeclaw?” She hissed the question, wanting to avenge her family. However, she tried her best to remain as calm as possible not wanting to make either of them more upset.

Winterkit padded forward, and glanced up at the clouds. He did this every now and then. Ooh… ew…
That one looked like the ThunderWillow once it had just been rained on. Disgusting.
And that other one looked like the flattened squirrel the apprentices had brought him that one time. He purred with a chuckle.

Ashpaw

Ashpaw was sitting into the clearing, appreciating the warm and comforting sun, when he overheard terrible news. Violetpaw was crying and Robinflight was dead.
He hadn't known very well Thunderblaze's brother, but there have been too many murders recently in Thunderclan.
Ashpaw padded up to the group of cats, ears flattened in grief. I'm sorry, really... may Starclan his path.

She smiled, not bothered by the fact she’d be taking up the mother-role for Violetpaw and Snowpaw. Snowpaw… she doesn’t know! I wonder who’ll break the news…

“Of course! Just as long as Cinderstar doesn’t have anything to ask you, of course,” Mapleleaf looked toward Cinderstar with a questioning glance. In the span of less than two moons, Violetpaw and Snowpaw lost their parents… why, StarClan?
