Fallowkit was so excited by the new words learned that she began to run towards her mother while her father was distracted with her siblings, Fallowkit quietly approached Quailfur and began to say

"mama"

in hopes of waking her up with her new ability to speak.

➣ It was a dreary day with depressing overcast clouds again and the slender tortie had been plagued with nightmares all throughout the night before. They had told themselves time and time again that they would tell Cloudyflight about what they had done, but that moment had never happened and it seemed to haunt Brightpath every second of every day, following them like a predator stalking prey. Such a feeling made their stomach hurt and it was on this day that the ThunderClan warrior decided they would come clean about their sins. To whom, one might ask. Well, after what happened with Sleethound, Brightpath had remembered the clan leader being quick to defend them and felt comfortable in their assumption that Cinderstar would be understanding towards what had happened several moons ago. If not, then they would welcome whatever happened to them. That’s all they could do, after all. They just wanted something, someone, to tell them that they weren’t some heartless beast.

“Cin… Cinderstar?” There was hesitation in Brightpath’s voice as they poked their head into the ThunderClan leader’s den, “Can I talk to you about something? It’s… important.” Was it? Their paws felt like they were trembling and the slim warrior wondered if they should’ve provided more context to their visit, but all of this was so scary and Brightpath wondered if they would get in major trouble for the things that occurred. Would they be exiled? Put on trial like Nectarflame had been? They were overthinking everything, but with their heart pounding in their chest with each second, it was hard to not do so. Oh StarClan.

Blazingkit gasped as he was snapped at by Flamepaw. Matching her, the kit fluffed out his fur, too. How dare she?! Hmphing, the light brown tomcat swung his head and closed his eyes to not look at the two peasants. His ears twitched however as he eavesdropped on their conversation.

There’s no way I’m teaching or showing them a move I learned in the Dark Forest! Flamepaw huffed and decided to crouch down so she could teach Vinekit what Rushfire had taught her.

“I don’t know many fighting techniques, but Rushfire did teach me how to pounce on an opponent and attack. We won’t be doing that, obviously. I don’t want either of us to get in trouble,” she smiled and continued after a moment. “After pouncing on an opponent, you usually bite and claw them, but I’ll just have you pounce and get off before I roll. That’s what Rushfire did. Ready when you are!”

The old shecat gave a yawn, flicking her ear. A new denmate.. She thought to herself, there was indeed, another elder in thunderclan now. She stretched out on her next, laying her head on her paws, patiently awaiting her denmates arrival. Would it bee Leafheart?, No, too young. Maybe Goldenwolf or Nectarflame.

cactuspaw heard her name called for a patrol and padded up to the rest of her group. she was a bit late but really couldn’t care less, her increasing worry about the whereabouts of her father grew stronger and stronger every day she didn’t see him and it was having an effect on her mentally. but she knew she was in for some sort of lecture from sparrowflight if she didn’t come so she forced herself to walk over. sitting down, she motioned towards territory so they could get going.

There seemed to be a bit of a kerfuffle around Roosterflame and Asterdance's patrols, but with a brief glance over the gathered cats it looked like it was sorting itself out. Rainhound was first to show for her crew, so she gave her a quick nod, before her attention was grabbed by her apprentice as she made her appearance.

Cactuspaw seemed a touch... Well it seemed like something weighed heavily on her mind. Hopefully a jaunty run out to Smallpines could help get her blood pumping and perhaps that would help distract her from current worries.

"Right then!" she stated, her tail flicking towards the camp entrance with a grin to her companions. "Follow me to the Riverclan border. I don't believe we've gone their as of yet Cactuspaw, so make sure to keep an eye on your surroundings and stay close by."

With that she bounded off into the forest, hopeful that both the recently appointed warrior and her apprentice could keep up.
