Dawnpaw followed closely, walking straight and up right.

"Okay, what will you be teaching me today, Fireflyheart?" She asked keeping her voice calm, and staying still. She had only just recently found her way back home after getting lost in the outsiders lands, only to come back and find out now her mentor was missing.

Now she was taking whatever oppertunity she could to keep up with training until she was assigned a new mentor. Of course she would always have those special memories with SoftShadow. Though she could do without the ones of the badger attack she and him had to deal with by themselves, that felt like ages ago now.

The tom raised his ears at Dawnpaws question "Battle training, so um yeah we'll take a spot in the cave over, and we will, uh start with something simple like a pin-down. Feel free to uh, unsheathe your claws but be careful, you um don't want to tear a a claw or two. If I unintentionally injure you, please um let me know." Fireflyheart explained, Wow a sentence without being awkward, that's fantastic! His mind quickly brought it up before waiting for Dawnpaws first move.

Dawnpaw gave a swift nod and walked into a sandier area than where they were, if one of them hit the other too hard it could cause more pain on the hard stone rather than the sand.

She turned to face Fireflyheart, and prepared for simple pin-down on the larger cat. Because she was still a little bit smaller, it would be trickier, she found she wasn't made for strength, and more built for agility and speed, so she would use tat to her advendtage.

Dawnpaw kicked herself off, going straight to the other cat, then at the last moment, swerved and turned her body around to be facing back at the tom and launched herself right at him, making sure to keep her claws sheathed.

Fireflyheart quickly fell limp, to make Dawnpaw feel successful and happy.

"Are you alright?" Dawnpaw didn't know for sure, with how fast the tom fell, but she felt that he let her.

"I Feel that a mock battle would be most beneficial," She commented as an idea, only an idea though.

"Ah, well thank you for that." She gave a soft, light-hearted smile before heaidng back to her spot.

"Could you come at me now? I wanna see how well I can dodge it." Avoiding the move and doing it were entirely different things, and she wanted to get both of them down pat.

"Alright, sure." The tom quickly sped forward, leaping so if he landed he would pin her down, Fireflyheart was never the battler though.
