Flamepaw widened her eyes at the young tom, unsure of what to say to keep him from being angry. He reminds me of, well... me. And so that's what she did. Or at least tried to do. She got up and craned her neck over to be behind the tom rather than him being behind her and attempted to wrap her jaws around his small scruff.

"Please don't go for my tail with your claws out..." she began to mumble. "While it is a sensitive spot on all cats, it's not worth getting your claws in my long fur. You don't want me to drag you all the way to Sundust and Rosepaw, do you? It'd be quite embarrassing!"

The kit let out a mouse-like squeal as he felt his neck hairs gathered together and pulled. Not fighting back, the kit gave up. His ears twitched as he reluctantly listened to Flamepaw.

“Ooo please don’t go for my tail,” Blazingkit mocked, “it is not worth it.” After rolling his eyes, the kit looked down at his paws. A few orange hairs covering his claws. Flinging his paws, the orange hairs flew away, except for one that landed on top of the kit’s nose.

“You’re lucky I was just practicing,” he excused.

“You’re lucky I don’t report to Cinderstar,” Flamepaw retorted, knowing full well what it was like to be punished by the leader. “If you were bigger, I could’ve gotten seriously injured. And Cinderstar’s not one to take hostile actions lightly. Believe me, she confined me to the nursery for seven sunrises because I tried to find a friend who had gone missing. That friend came back, but the lesson remains in my mind. Fair warning, if you ever do get in trouble with her, her anger is hard to forget.”

Sighing, Flamepaw laid down, feeling like she wouldn’t go anywhere with Blazingkit, “You’ll have plenty of time with a warrior when you become an apprentice. But you have to learn to respect those who are older than you. And younger. So… in order for me to not report to Cinderstar that you used your claws when I specifically told you not to, do you promise to at least try respecting everyone around you? It will get you a long way in life.”

“Sorry feathernose, maybe after the meeting” he meowed, not waiting for an awnser he padded over to the clearing and sat down

Light blue eyes widened. Again, he reluctantly listened to Flamepaw, hearing her story as he tried to understand what she meant. No. No! He doesn’t want to stay as a kit for seven more sunrises! Pulling his neck hairs away from the apprentice’s maw, Blazingkit sighed.

“Fine,” he mewed, “promising” to respect everyone.

She felt sorry for Flamepaw, as she had gone through a simmiler thing. For me it was going missing, getting kicked out then coming back and having amost of the other apprentices already be warriors, for Flamepaw its going missing and coming back then not getting a mentor. I remember when my mentor was missing I had to find training with other warriors too. Hopefully it dosen't make the time Flamepaws going to train longer. She thought, shooting a sympethetic glance at Flamepaw.

Hawkice still wanted an apprentice, but he didn't mind not being assigned one. And perhaps he could help the troublemaker Flamepaw with training

Spiderleap widened his eyes in surprise. He was barely a warrior himself and now had an apprentice! "Thank you, Cinderstar. I'll do my best to refresh Dandelionpaw." He dipped his head to his leader, feeling quite happy about this event. He couldn't wait to tell his mate how excited he was!

Hearing the commotion that was happening Frostshade looked over to the warriors and apprentices one of the apprentices being his own brother, Frostshade was tempted to intervene until he heard Cinderstar start speaking again. Frostshade glanced back before fully looking at the clan leader. Once Spiderleaps name was spoken the mostly white cat let out a small purr happy to see their mate so excited, maybe they could train their apprentices together.
