Make sure to congratulate Versailles on their promotion from c-mod in training to fully fledged chat moderator! They've worked very hard, and we can't wait to see where they go from here!
The following announcements were just awful. Robinflight was an unfortunate loss, one that was unexpected; Cinderpaw's was less unexpected, but still just heart-shattering. She had been a loud, proud voice in ThunderClan, and although some of her actions were less than respectable, the news of such a preventable death was deeply saddening. Buckbranch lowered his head for a moment to murmur a silent prayer to StarClan for both of them.
Cinderstar moved on, saying there would be no retaliation and that there were still new ranks to go over. All named sounded like good strong cats, and Buckbranch was disappointed that more of his Clanmates weren't raising their voices to congratulate the ranks. "Moosecrash, Batblood, Nectarflame, Birchheart, Sunshadow, Bumblebreak!" he chanted from beside the warriors' den.

Birchheart gasped as he heard his name called. A Keeper for his clan?! He gladly accepted the position, and happily said, “Thank you for the opportunity to help better my clan in an even greater form and I hope to fulfill it to the greatest extent.” He said, finishing solemnly. He also agreed with the leader that most likely most of Riverclan had no say in the situation with Cinderpaw.
When Cinderstar spoke up again, Crowpaw sniffled. They wiped their damp cheeks on their paws and finally lifted their gaze. Originally, they were going to look up at their leader, but when Echosong’s beckoning tail caught their eye, the little apprentice immediately stood and darted over to her. Oh, thank Stars that she was there! Crowpaw did NOT want to spend this sad meeting alone! Once they reached her, they buried their head into her stomach fur, wiping the last of their tears away. The heavy feeling in their chest still lingered, but it got oh-so-much lighter with her by their side. The young apprentice said not a word to their mentor. They simply let her hold them as Cinderstar continued the meeting.
“Being a Clan warrior comes with risks. It comes with danger … I encourage you to come together as a Clan now, and be there for one another. Lean on each other in this moment.”
The whole situation was so foreign to Crowpaw. They struggled so much with the idea of calling themself a Clan cat ever since the day they joined, but at this moment, they were surprised to find themselves grieving in unison with their Clanmates. They didn’t know the cats who died…but they felt the pain of what it was like to lose a member, regardless of if they knew them or not; and that was enough to make Crowpaw cry. It was…also enough to make them feel less alone. They were overwhelmed with a multitude of emotions in this moment, but they made note of how warm and safe they always felt among their Clanmates. It may be dangerous living the Clan lifestyle, but something about it made Crowpaw feel stronger as a feline. And as much as they enjoyed making fun of the weird laws, names, and traditions with their sibling…they really loved how it felt to be a ThunderClan member.
If only Raven was here to feel it with them…
The whole section where Cinderstar spoke more on Skystar and RiverClan was subconsciously blurred-out in Crowpaw’s mind. They just wanted to move on from the sad topics, but still tried hard to focus on the meeting. At the mention of a new rank, Crowpaw’s ears perked up. What?! They finally lifted their misty gaze toward the Thunderwillow, sadness fading. “ThunderClan’s Keepers…” Crowpaw quietly echoed the title in awe. They sounded so…cool and important! Six cats were named, none of which they had formally met yet, and Crowpaw knew that would have to change. I HAVE to meet these Keeper Cats!!
As a few of their Clanmates chanted the Keeper’s names, Crowpaw decided to join in, hoping to help clear the air of all this sad, tense, and negative energy. “Moosecrash! Batblood! Nectarflame! Birchheart! Sunshadow! Bumblebreak! WOOOOHOO!” They stood on their hind legs so their voice could carry better, but inevitably fell backwards at Echosong’s side. Quickly squirming back on their paws, Crowpaw shot a sheepish smile at their mentor, then quickly glanced back at the new Keepers. Hope no one saw that...!
Wow. These cats were really lucky to be this adored and needed by the entire Clan. Wouldn’t it be great if…one day…Crowpaw became a cat this important to ThunderClan? Maybe that should be their goal in life (other than collecting things, of course) — to become a strong and admired cat in their Clan! Crowpaw puffed their chest at this decision. One day, these cats will cheer MY name! And I'll protect ThunderClan with ALL my might!
Violetpaw heard thunderBlazes reaction, her ears lowered a bit. *should I feel the same, should i be acting the same way… no i probably shouldnt i guess. I wouldnt want to cause a scene* she thought then heard cinderstar started speaking and listened for awhile, then she heard keepers. “Whats a keeper” she asked confused then looked around *everyone seems fine with the new rank keepers, but what are they for* she thought.
The gray tom wasn't getting younger. He'd been away from ThunderClan for a multitude of moons since the whole thing with Nectarflame kicking everyone out went down. He had to be at least in his mid-forties. His kids . . . They must have become warriors. Oh, how he missed them. As he smelled the familiar border he'd cowardly stared at too many times in fear to return without his pride, he wavered before finally stepping over it and weaving through some trees before warily sitting down to wait for someone. He didn't want to seem hostile, that was the last thing he wanted. He reeked of rogue and was aware of it, it sickened him how afraid he'd been to return. Now he'd missed too much with his family. They might not want him there anymore. And what if Nectarflame or someone like her was in charge? Would he be able to stay? He wondered about a billion different horrid scenarios before snapping himself out of it and staring into the brush around him to try and spot anycat around. "Please hurry . . ." he muttered without thinking.

Dawnpaw laid down lightly a few fox lengths away from the frest kill pill, a small squirel she found reasted between her paws. She glanced around the camp not noticing anyone else alone. She only looked down at her squirrel and took a bite ignoring everyone else who had someone to talk to.

The black cat sighed, he squeezed his eyes shut, he'd hope she'd understand.
Cinderstar
Padding through the territory, the silver bengal paused briefly when a voice reached her ears. The scent was familiar too, and she turned her head in time to be met face to face with Blackjaw. He jumped into an explanation right away, and already it made the leader disappointed. If he thought catching prey would make up for the excuse he just gave, he was mistaken. "I am well aware that Clan life can "get to you", but that is no excuse to leave your Clan. You swore an oath when you became a warrior to protect and defend ThunderClan. Does that vow mean nothing to you?"

' 'I went out on my own for a bit due some stress, which I know you're not supposed to do but I'd done it plenty of times before and was fine all things considered, but I must've gone out of the territory or, twolegs are in our territory, because I somehow managed to get snagged by some. . .if you couldn't tell by this annoying thing around my neck.' '
She did show slight annoyance in her tone at the end of the sentence, but it wasn't directed at Cinderstar, more so at the stupid butterfly neck thing. ' 'You can ground me for all eternity if needed.' ' Softpaw knew she didn't need to add that last bit, but she did anyway, just so her mom knew there'd be no hard feelings if she was stuck in the apprentices den forever, or the leaders den if she really decided to go down the overprotective mom route.
Cinderstar
After a moment or two, Cinderstar untangled herself from the hug - but not before delivering a few swift licks to the top of Softpaw's head. Stars, she was glad the young she-cat was alright.
Although she did frown at the revelation that Softpaw had gone out on her own. "Just because you have broken a rule plenty of times before with no reprimanding does not mean you should keep doing it. You could have been seriously injured, Softpaw, or wose." And Cinderstar did not want to think of that; the mere image made her flatten her ears.
But all that mattered really at this moment was that she was back. With a soft sigh, Cinderstar examined the bow for a bit before reaching forward gingerly at where it appeared to come together. After some gentle tugging, she managed to loosen it up enough to where it eventually fell off of Softpaw's neck. "Next time you go out without another cat present I'll be moving you back into the nursery," she stated, though her whiskers twitched as a smile drew over her face, showing that she was not really serious in the "threat".
"Let's get you back home, alright? You're not grounded - but I will be keeping a better eye on you. No more solo trips into the territory, alright?" With that, Cinderstar nodded her head to beckon her daughter to follow her back to camp.
[ Done! I'll pull Softpaw out from the missing ]

And yes, I was surprised myself at how well the Twolegs handled my leg." Larkstorm flicked her ear, wondering who was the new leader of ThunderClan. Surely they wouldn't give the role back to Necterflame? But Larkstorm was shocked to hear Cindersky's next words. Cinderstar! That's amazing." The she-cat dipped her head to Cinderstar, realizing she hadn't been giving the ThunderClan leader the respect she deserved. "I'm glad you were chosen, and Sparrowflight must be a great deputy. If you two are leading ThunderClan, then it will be like old times. I am back in ThunderClan, right?" Larkstorm hoped Cinderstar would say yes.
Cinderstar
It always made heat rush to her face in a flood of embarrassment when her Clanmates seemed to hold her to a high esteem. Cinderstar held a lot of confidence and belief in herself since the last few moons, but it was still a bit.. odd to be a leader. Nonetheless, she dipped her head and returned the smile towards Larkstorm in appreciation. "Thank you, Larkstorm. Yes, we are trying as best we can to make sure that all of ThunderClan works together to becoming more united than we have been in the past." At her second question, she gave a nod. "Yes. Come, I can take you back to camp."
A nimble black cat padded into the territory, was that... The smell of home? The thing she had disappeared from all those moons ago? Yes! That was one smell she could not forget. Home. Blue eyes flicking around, even this being home, barely anyone would recognize her scent, she stunk of crow-food and the thunderpath, but that could be easily washed off I hope to starclan they remember me the she thought, still trying to find somecat. The she soon saw cinderstar and hurried over "hello! I'm not sure if I know you yet, but I am shadefur, I dissapeared... I don't remember how many moons ago, pesky twolegs!" She cursed at herself internally for her poor social skills and memory issues
(Shadefur lol-)

Cinderstar
Frustration aided the headache growing inside the silver bengal's head. "You should know better than to chase a rogue into the outskirts. Once they are off ThunderClan territory, they are no longer our responsibility to challenge." She really should demote the two warriors to apprentices for such a lapse in judgement, but for now she'd let them off with a warning. [B]"Do not do such a foolish thing again. Come, I can take you back to camp."

Emberkit looked up at Cinderstar. "I don't know! It's the butterflies! They are so cool with their wings and such! I'll never be an apprentice!" She cried again, backing up from the ThunderClan leader. She was in so much trouble now. She had to be.
Cinderstar
Letting out a soft sigh, the leader shook her head. "I'm not mad. But you need to understand there are dangerous out here. If you keep running off and chasing butterflies, how are we suppose to keep you safe? You need to remain in the camp at all times until you are an apprentice and assigned a mentor." If it happened again, Cinderstar would see to it that the kits ceremony was delayed, but for now she'd just give them a reminder. "Come on, Emberkit. Let's head back, alright?"

The Siamese was haunted with every step she came closer to her home. The claws that had pierced her neck and back were raking her back with their ghostly grip. Her pelt was healed from infections and her flesh was purified from rot, but her heart and mind were tainted. The memories kept coming back with a pained fury. She couldnt forget the terror. It wanted to find camp. It wanted to find.... Someone.
Dying was growing old. Number two. It was.... Dark. It was scary. To die. But she kept coming back and she hated it. She hated having to come back. She came back of course, for Rainhound. She wouldn't bother going through life and death again if there wasn't the prospect of starting a family with her love. Of growing old with her. Houndspirit stopped shakily, her pale face and blank eyes searching the undergrowth. Someone was coming. Her heart hammered her chest and the thin molly unsheathed her claws. Just in case.
Cinderstar
Moving along the edge of the territory and swiftly checking the border. She brushed up along the barks of trees and past the tall undergrowth to enhance the scent markers with their shared border at the outskirts. With the increase in rogues, Cinderstar wanted to make it known that they were not welcome on ThunderClan territory.
Of course in doing this she often came across cats who had gone missing and were looking to return. But as she emerged from the undergrowth to find Houndspirit, Cinderstar slowed her pace - she had not been expecting the she-cat to go missing again. Something about her appeared different, and in her gut a claw pierced down the side. "Houndspirit, what happened to you?" she questioned as she stopped just before the she-cat, a worried gleam in her gaze.

Cinderstar
Padding through ThunderClan's territory, Cinderstar was quick to pick up on a scent that didn't belong near the outer layer. Fur bristling slightly she quickened her pace, until finally emerging from the bushes to face a... rather familiar cat. Their scent was clearly from beyond Clan territory, but she knew this cat. In an instance her fur went flat and eyes just a little wide in surprise. "Graysquirrel? Where in the name of StarClan have you been?" He hadn't been seen in camp since leaf-bare - where had he gone off to??

The tom looked up at the silver bengal, his ears perking and then flattening against his skull in embarrassment. It's Cindersky, she was always reasonable, right? he thought, sifting through the memories he'd accumulated in his life. Yet, he still couldn't bring himself to treat himself as someone who'd shared a home with her. He looked away quickly and stood, tail tucked and posture low to the ground in some form of submission. Even if the molly seemed calm, the last thing he wanted was a fight. Cindersky . . . I'm sorry. I- I assume you want an explanation? I'm sorry I was away so long. After Nectarflame's whole meeting where I had to leave, I felt too embarrassed to come home. I was scared- he stopped to take a shaky breath. I was afraid my family and Clanmates would think less of me. That I would be less of the cat I had been. The idea of my family - especially my kids - thinking I was something less than what I had been was unbearable. he shuddered, still not looking at the molly.
