Ashpaw was running as fast as he had never done in his life, following the weird scent of the fleeing intruder. However, as time passed he started to lose the trace and the many scents of the forest mingled together, leaving the apprentice in a confused fog. He stopped to catch his breath, and decided that he had already lost her. "Damn it! If only I knew my territory better... I let everyone down. Discouraged, he retraced his paw steps until he could find the hollow training which he knew a lot better. From there, it was an easy path to the camp.

Padding trough ferns, bramble and gorse bushes, Ashpaw made his way back into the clearing where his clanmates where still talking about the urging matter. Copperfire was also there, and suddenly he hoped not to be in trouble for having followed a dangerous cat outside, all alone. Walking quietly to the deputy, he started explaining the situation: "A she-cat managed to get into the camp and was on the point to kidnap Brightkit... she said her name was Lilystorm, but we couldn't smell any clan scent on her. Batblood and Cloudyflight have fought her off, but she wasn't as weak as we'd first thought. he lowered his head, a bit ashamed: "I'm sorry, Copperfire... I couldn't catch her. I don't even know if she actually left Thunderclan territory.

Now what would they do? How could we be safe if we can't even avoid such trespassing?Moreover, now they would have to deal with a more serious threat. "Copperfire... this cat said she would come back to get Brightkit. She was menacing."

Frostshade

Frostshade watched Ashpaw walk back into camp before nodding at Copperfire to see if the Intruder had actually left the clan territory. Frostshade could see the defeat on Ashpaws face and gave their brother a sympathetic look before exiting the camp to hopefully find that the rouge left the territory of ThunderClan.

Cloudyflight was in the MIDDLE of leading the child away from this psychopath, when she saw, out of the corner of her eye, a leaping feline. Well, she could only assume that it was the intruder, and sure enough, she saw claws flashing towards Brightkit. twisting around, she lunged in front of the kitten and felt claws sting her own side. Flamepaw nervously looked back at the chaos that was going on in camp. The stranger had gone for Cloudyflight, so at least both apprentices and Brightkit were safe. The orange and white tabby she-cat didn't have much fighting practice, so even if that stranger went for her or Ashpaw, Flamepaw would use her claws to the best of her ability. Hearing Spiderleap's snappy tone, Flamepaw nodded and ushered Brightkit into the nursery, hoping Ashpaw was covering her from behind.

"Don't worry, Brightkit, you have the entire Clan here to protect you. And you have us," Flamepaw gently whispered, trying to keep the kit calm. I never thought a rogue would have the guts to steal a kit when an entire Clan is present...

Brightkit

When this whole thing started Brightkit had felt an odd stress of the new situation grow in her chest then her heart had finally started to calm down when Cloudyflight came, but now that blanket of safety was ripped away once more, and the Bengal felt her blood freeze to ice when the odd cat lunged towards them, claws out. Not even the terrified squeak pressed in her that managed to make it's way out as she simply stood frozen in place. What was happening, what was going on, had she done something? Of course now, but her confused young mind was frantically trying to scram for an explanation for this.

Then Cloudyflight's voice seemed to brake thought as she saw the claws make contact with the white and grey fur, and with a distressed noise the kits turned and rushed towards the nursery, the only place she could think of right now that was truly safe in her mind. She didn't look back, didn't dare to. But what if something happened to Cloudyflight? The fluffy molly had only tried to defend Brightkit - was this her fault?


Batblood

God, this was becoming a mess. The rogue was clearly outnumbered and should take their pittyful life and flee when they still had it somewhat intact, but too many cats fighting one would just become more chaotic. "Apprentices, let me and Cloudyflight handle it!" But 'it' he meant the rogue, the apprentices could take care of the kit or something. He was a Keeper and if he had to pick another Keeper, Cloudyflight would be the highest up on his list out of everyone here. She was the same rank and Spiderleg, but in his mind higher up. His first warning swipe didn't seem to hit, but now it was all out, and he shot towards the rogue with both paws, one to the head to scratch and maybe disorient the cat, another for their paws to hopefully unbalance them.

Flicking her ear in Batblood's direction, Flamepaw only flicked the tip of her tail in acknowledgment. There was no time to argue and Flamepaw didn't know much in regards to fighting. Perhaps Mapleleaf could teach me how to properly battle in case of an invasion such as this. Protecting ThunderClan became her number one priority. Her senses on high alert, Flamepaw sat down to guard the nursery. Her narrowed eyes went from one direction to another. I have to be wary... who knows if that rogue would come back today.

NO, the kit was getting away! And it was all their fault, Brittany thought, glaring hatefully at Bat'Blood and Cloud'flight. The beautiful red furred cat jumped for bat'Blood, and tried to claw his throat, then ran at Cloud'Flight and tried to bit her throat to. Then, she looked around for the kit. The kit was running for the nursery! That place had all tons of kits in it.... she had to tell Posion'Drop. I"ll be back with more cats next time, I know where you keep you're kits! She cackled, then ran away.

It was a good thing Flamepaw had a little bit of 'training' in the Dark Forest. She'd never mention it to anyone, of course, but it was these types of situations that she was glad to know some moves. Seeing how the rogue went for both Cloudyflight and Batblood, Flamepaw's anxiety rose. However, her anxiety eased when she saw how both warrior and keeper dodged the attack. That could've gotten nasty really fast... she sighed and continued watching the madness continue, though it ended shortly after the stranger had run off.

He turned to Ashpaw and Flamepaw with a sheepish look on his face. "Sorry for snapping at you two, that was mean. I'll make it up to you both."

The coward had run away, but not before throwing a threat to Thunderclan. Ashpaw ignored Spiderleap and followed the intruder outside the camp , hoping to catch and convince her not to put a paw into their territory again. But the she-cat was fast. Where are the others? We can't let her escape! "Stop you! Nobody can threat us and get away with it!"

Looking around for the familiar gray tom, her anxiety rose once more. Please don't be injured! Once she caught sight of Ashpaw running out of camp in pursuit of the rogue, Flamepaw rolled her eyes. That mouse-brain's going to get himself hurt!

"Ashpaw, come back!" she yowled for her friend, hoping he'd listen. What if she ends up luring him into a trap?! Her mind was urging her to run after the fellow apprentice to stop him, but she knew she had to protect Brightkit and the rest of the kits.

The rogue managed to aviod both of Batblood's attacks again, but Batblood also managed to duck the claws coming for his throat, so they were somewhat even even if being even with a rogue wasn't exactly sometbragto brag about. He followed the rogue for a bit to make sure they didn't try and sneak back in when they turned their backs before he returned to camp. "Ill have to talk to Sparrowflight about this" he muttered to himself. The rogue had promised to be back, and considering their apparent stupidness he didn't doubt that one bit. He was a Keeper, so he might as well do his job and keep watch outside the nursery of something for the next few days.

Luckily she didn't have to call out for Ashpaw anymore. Batblood, the keeper on the scene, followed the rogue's path out of the camp. At least Ashpaw won't be alone out there with the rogue... she thought, breathing out a sigh of relief. Flamepaw counted herself lucky. If no one in the camp had come to her aide, she'd be fighting the rogue to keep it away from Brightkit. This was more excitement than she had asked for, but it was something she'd have to experience when she became a warrior, right? Flamepaw hoped that wouldn't be the case, but in this chaotic world, you had to hope for the best and prepare for the worst. That was an important lesson she had learned while training with Mapleleaf. Then again, she learned a lot of important lessons thanks to the calico/tabby warrior.

Lucky for her, the rogue seemed to enjoy giving warnings, and as she saw the rogue go for her own throat, similar to how she had just gone for the Keeper's throat, she was somewhat prepared, and ducked her head and lunged to the side, so the rogue cleanly missed. checked the clawmarks on her side, and was pleased to see that they had almost already clotted. Not that it was shocking that the rogue failed to leave a lasting mark, but it was relieving all in the same. turning around, she was pleased again to see that Brightkit was in the nursery. The tripod started to make her way over to the kit den. Brightkit must be scared from this little scene, so perhaps Cloudyflight could see if she couldn't go in their and check up on the kid.

The only injury that seemed to have been given today was a claw mark on Cloudyflight's flank. That wasn't bad, right? It was better than a bite mark on the throat of two Clanmates, that went without saying. All worries forgotten, Flamepaw smiled and dipped her head to the three-legged warrior. Looking down at her claws, the she-cat hummed, deciding to keep them out. Who knew when that rogue would return and try to steal kits again? Maybe she could talk to Copperfire or Sparrowflight about guarding the nursery.

Copperfire was returning to camp when he noticed an unfamiliar cat leaving camp. He had a bad feeling, but it seemed as if the stranger was leaving now. Said rogue was being followed by Ashpaw. Now he had to check in with his clan to see what had happened. If he was a warrior, maybe he'd just try and avoid all of this, but not as deputy.

"What happened?" he demanded, quickly scanning over the cats that seemed to be involved. Cloudyflight seemed to be injured, but everyone else seemed to be fine. Maybe not for long if the apprentice managed to catch up to the rogue. Frostshade had called out to Ashpaw, so they could deal with her. "Frostshade, go get Ashpaw, make sure the rogue is off our territory too."

Cloudyflight seemed to be going into the nursery. With a still fresh injury. "Cloudyflight, go have your injury checked. I don't care if it's shallow or not, we don't need it to get infected." These cats seemed to have no self-preservation skills, even if they were otherwise competent.

Looking over to the camp entrance, Flamepaw waved her tail in greeting to the deputy. Now was the best chance she could have about standing guard for the nursery.

"Copperfire, the rogue tried stealing Brightkit, claiming her name was 'Lilystorm' and that she was a part of ThunderClam even though she doesn't smell like us. I was the one who noticed her, and I brought everyone's attention to her by yowling." Flamepaw explained. "Batblood, Cloudyflight, Spiderleap, and Ashpaw came to help and Brightkit's in the nursery now. If you don't mind, I'd like to keep watch for the rogue. Just in case she comes back like she said she would."

There was no harm in explaining her side of the story. She was the first to notice the rogue, which was surprising considering the warriors know ThunderClan's scent better than the apprentices or kits. Brightkit's safety, along with the other kits' safety, was her top priority now. Not training with Mapleleaf. Flamepaw had some battle training, but it was a little rusty. All she would do was alert the Clan and fight if she absolutely had to.

Mapleleaf got out of the warrior's den. She had to stretch her legs but was too tired to go train with Flamepaw. Locating her mate, the calico/tabby mix wobbled over and sat next to Thunderblaze. Her belly was bulging, so she had to get to Sundust as soon as possible in case she was sick.

"Thunderblaze, how are you doing?" she murmured softly as soon as she sat down. "Have you been sleeping well?"

I knew I should've stayed here with you to protect the nursery, but I thought it was better to chase that rogue. Unfortunately, it was all useless..." ears flattened and head lowered, all this situation was making him anxious and his self-confidence as low as ever.

"Are you ok?" Flamepaw looked fine, but he wanted to make sure anyway. Why would a rogue come here and choose a single kit to kidnap? I can't really imagine...Ashpaw hoped that Copperfire and Sparrowflight would organize soon many patrols to inspect the territory and maybe even trace the trespasser. What if she hadn't really left the territory? And the other clans should know about it too... Head spinning with worrying thoughts, he decided to lay down for a moment and closed his eyes. This was the first time Ashpaw witnessed a kidnapping attempt.

As Ashpaw padded up to her, Flamepaw sighed and sat down, knowing he was coming up to her to apologize. Fighting to keep herself calm, Flamepaw smiled and looked at her friend. She understood why the gray tom went after the rogue, and if she hadn't worked on her anger, Flamepaw would have run after the stranger just as Ashpaw had done.

"I forgive you," she murmured, looking down at her shaky legs. "And yes... I'm fine. Just... Just shaken up is all."

Looking back up, she noticed Ashpaw had laid down. Maybe he's shaken up too... "Don't worry, Brightkit's in the nursery, where she should be. Are you okay? Did you see which direction that rogue went? Maybe we can tell Copperfire and Sparrowflight about it..."

A ruffled dilute calico pelt accompanied Mottlekit into the territory. He was beyond scared and couldn't believe he would wonder off like that. His mouth was dry and he was gone for about a few weeks. Making him mentally stained with fear. He just wished to be squashed up in his nursery nest without any disruptions from his family members. He arrived near camp to smell discreetly the scent of Thunderclan. The buzzing and the birds that ringed in his ears made him feel teary-eyed. He sniffled finally bawling out tears from his eyes. He wanted to put up this act of being tough and unshakable. But his rabbit-like heart took over in a mere second.

" I-I'm sorryy!! hiccup I-I want to go back home! I should have never run off!! hiccup I'm soo sorry!! " He wailed as tears flowed down uncontrollably, that would surely give him a lesson to never escape camp. He begged soulfully as his white paws quivered under his shaking legs. Drooping his head to escape from the terror he had seen outside.

Asterdance let a happy rumble arise from their throat, returning the affectionate gesture with a small lick on the top of Rosepaw's forehead. They kept a close distance with their sister, typically they would bother with personal space but seriously, the lighting in this den was uh, horrible. It was hard to lipread as it was.

Their stub tail flickered back and forth, happy to know what Rosepaw had to say. It offered a sense of... normalcy, ironically. Asterdance never thought they would come to this day. "Yeah that - jeez dude, that ... sucks. I mean seriously, but if it means anything, you seem to be doing pretty damn good from my point of view. Have you liked... tried reaching out to the other medicine cats or somethin'??" They suggested, holding back the inquiring question that hey, isn't Sundust supposed to be teaching you? Asterdance shot the older medicine cat a curious look. He probably didn't know much either.

Looking back, they squinted their eyes. Uhh, Starclan... something... something... oh!! "Nahh. Weren't you ... hand-picked by like... them?? If that really is the case, I can die again and go and threaten some of them. Eh, eh?" Asterdance giggled at their own poorly joke, mmeh. It was their tragic event to talk about, alright? If they wanted to laugh, they could. Hehe. They wiggled their eyebrows up and down, truly bringing it in.

Ooh. They were not paying attention. ",, Can... can you repeat that?" They were referring to the rat comment Rosepaw had made. A sheepish look appeared over their face. They were trying to get better on this good ol' .. speaking for themself kind of deal. It was lame,, it helped a lot though.

Asterdance clicked their tongue against the roof of their mouth, pulling back slightly as Rosepaw seemed to become a wee bit worried at the mention of their frequent headaches. "Yo, yo. Heyy, it's not anything serious. I'm strong, I can handle it. Was just, wondering. I guess, I guess I'm not.. " They sighed softly, shoulders slumping in surrender. "Yeahh, I've been having, nightmares? Like, I always used to have them. They just, weren't as frequent or.." They took in a shuddering breath. "Harsh. I mean, MAN. I don't know if it's the lack of sleep but sometimes, they even happen while I'm AWAKE!! What is with that?? I dunno, I'm still. Adjusting. It's, finee. I'll get over it, promise."
