Copperfire wasn't happy with their work. My first patrol.. already a disaster. And I swore I would make him proud...
Ashpaw left for a moment Frostshade and padded toward the deputy, hoping that he could make it up soon. Approaching him, he replied: "I'm sorry, Copperfire.. that was my fault. I thought it was a big rat, but as I was jumping on him I realized it was something I'd never seen before. I lost my focus and it fled. If I'd paid more attention, I could've caught it." It looked like Ashpaw would never stop making endless mistakes. Tail brushing the ground, he gazed around the clearing looking for her friend. Had Flamepaw already returned from her patrol?
The tom frowned in confusion when Ashpaw approached him, apologizing and giving explanations. He sighed, and with a flick of his ear attempted a... comforting or at least neutral tone, "Ashpaw, you didn't do anything wrong. You're an apprentice, you're not expected to do everything as well as warriors. Either way, it wasn't your choice to bring the patrol back to camp because of a single gopher." Copperfire threw an annoyed look at the warriors that had accompanied the apprentice on patrol. It was fine to worry, but not to this level. Where was the Rainhound that took part in chasing the original gophers away? There was no need to leave so soon after a single encounter, especially if the apprentice was fine.
Bumblebreak limped back into camp, the lines on her face etched with pain, though she didn't dare express it out loud. Copperfire was sat in the middle of camp, and with a hiss of breath through her teeth as she left her paw down for too long, she turned her route toward him. She'd missed the announcement, the one that she guessed Sparrowflight would have made, about his deputyship. She had no idea what to think of him.
"Everything's quiet at the border," she managed, voice strained. "No RiverClan fishfaces lurking about. We saw a big fish in the middle of the river but that was about it. Too far out to safely catch, anyway."
Ugh. A sudden chill gripped her, making her wince, and the ground seemed to sway a bit beneath her. Yeah, she really needed to get this seen.
...Maybe tomorrow.
Finally, the last patrol arrived. Not as quickly as he would've wanted, but not terribly late. And maybe he had an explanation for the delay if the way Bumblebreak walked was any indication. "Glad to hear everything is good at the border, but if you're feeling unwell you need to visit Sundust. You're limping. How can you expect to serve the clan when you're barely keeping yourself upright?" Copperfire chastized. The RiverClan border being calm was a pleasant surprise, but the state of the keeper was more urgent. It seemed as if whatever was wrong had happened before the patrol (had Copperfire noticed, he might've chosen someone else), otherwise it would've been mentioned in the report. Why anyone would let themselves get this weak was beyond Copperfire's understanding, but hopefully, Bumblebreak would listen to his suggestion and visit the medicine cats. Hopefully, he wouldn't need to tell warriors when they needed to go to the Medicine Cat's den, and this would be a one-time thing, where someone was being too stubborn to take care of themselves.
Hazelkit was excited. Her apprentice ceremony was going to be at the next meeting, but it felt like such a long time away. Hopefully, Sparrowflight, or was it Sparrowstar now, assigned her a good mentor who wouldn't be mean! For now, though, the little Siamese's blue eyes landed on a lone warrior, and she bounced over with a purpose.
"Hey! Can you teach me a battle move? I'm going to become an apprentice soon! Please, please, pleaseeeee?"
firelight left the elder den coming into the sun she took a deep breath but coughs a little then smiles after finishing the cough the elder layed down and watched the clearing
A jet black cat sat talking with one the exact opposite. No one would suspect that the two were sisters. The white one sat carefully, blue eyes soft and gentle, while the black ones tail flicked impatiently
I love the relationship these two have-))
Open btw!))

Flamepaw was in the clearing close to the Thunderwillow, waiting for her gray tabby friend. It took a bit longer than she thought it would, but the orange and white tabby didn't mind one bit. It was worth the wait, what kind of stories would Ashpaw have? What did they encounter? She watched as Ashpaw walked into camp and talked to Copperfire. She couldn't hear much, but she didn't try. The more she knew, the less Ashpaw could tell her!
She stayed out of earshot until Ashpaw began to look around for her. With a smile, Flamepaw hoisted herself to her paws and walked over to the gray tabby. She touched her tail tip to the tabby's shoulder and turned around, letting her tail fall to the ground naturally as she began to walk to the apprentice's den.
//We can have Ashpaw and Flamepaw talk there!

Ashpaw was relieved that Copperfire wasn't angry with him, but he still felt like he failed something. Would the deputy choose him again in another patrol? He hoped so. He had so much still to learn, but these patrols were a great opportunity to do so and he liked walking through Thunderclan territory. He reminded himself to search for a warrior who could take him out and make a whole territory tour. Why hadn't Darkpetal organized one before? Hee thought his mentor looked a bit distracted these days, even during the hunting patrol. Maybe Bumbleflight would be happy if Ashpaw asked him.
He dipped his head to Copperfire, before reaching Flamepaw and purring a greeting for his friend.
Flamepaw led the way to the apprentices' den and Ashpaw followed, glad that they could talk in peace at the shade of ferns. Maybe we should take some piece of prey to the elders and then eat something... but I guess there's nothing wrong in taking a little break first.
After stretching, he lay down and lashed his tail to shake off the tension he was still feeling for Copperfire's reproach, even if it wasn't intended for him.
"So... how was your patrol? Did you catch anything?" he asked cheerfully, but he was sure Flamepaw had done really well. Ashpaw was still wondering if he should tell her his unfortunate meeting with the crow... Was the little cut visible? He hoped not, but didn't dare glancing at his chest. Instead, he gave himself a quick lick and tried to focus on his friend's voice.

Flamepaw purred softly at Ashpaw's greeting, they had so much to talk about, what was his patrol like? What did he catch? What did he see? But all those questions would have answers soon enough. Laying down in her nest, the she-cat took some time to clean her paws, freeing them from the grass and dirt she gathered on her patrol. Now that she thought about it, it made her want to go on another patrol! Feeling the fresh grass beneath her paws and getting to meet cats that belonged to other Clans such as Snowypaw felt great. One day, she'd see Snowypaw, as a warrior, at a Gathering. But of course, that day won't be anytime soon, Snowypaw looked to be younger than Flamepaw.
Turning her attention back to Ashpaw, Flamepaw couldn't help but chuckle, "The patrol was really fun! I didn't catch anything though... I was on a border patrol. Specifically, the Thunderglade. And I met a WindClan apprentice there! His name was... Snowypaw, I believe. I think it was his first patrol too!"
Excitement bubbled in her, perhaps she could go on another patrol when patrols are called out again. But alas, only time would be able to tell. Everyone in the Clan (or everyone that is able) has to be on a patrol at least once in their lives... right? Probably, though Flamepaw would have to go on more patrols to find out.
"How did your patrol go? You went on a hunting one, right? Did you catch anything?" the tom probably did, he had more experience in that area than her, so he had to of caught something! Flamepaw sat and waited, her tail lightly thumping the ground in a way for the orange and white tabby to contain her excitement.

[ Sharppaw was a ThunderClan apprentice when I was still in the website. So I am bringing him back to ThunderClan if that is ok with you]
Sharppaw stood in ThunderClan Territory. He had gone missing for moons. He was over six moons old now, almost the size of a warrior. He had no idea who was leader now. Who is leader? Aspenstar is still alive, right? He walked through the forest and saw another cat. "Hello, ThunderClan cat. I am Sharppaw, a ThunderClan apprentice that went missing for moons. Who are you if I may ask?" He asked, his black fur blowing in the breeze, his yellow eyes locked on the cat.
Flamepaw seemed really happy today! Ashpaw purred at his friend's enthusiasm, though probably that night they would both sleep like a dormouse from exhaustion. "A border patrol? That looks neat!" What was a border patrol like? He had always heard about them from older warriors, and it was often about encounters with other clans. Had Flamepaw had troubles with Windclan? "Snowypaw? Wow.. cool." Ashpaw couldn't help feeling a bit jealous from his friend's excitement, but he quickly pushed it away.
He really hoped he would be able to be in a border patrol too, but he knew Copperfire would never allow him if he didn't receive a territory tour first.
"Yes, me, Rainhound and Darkpetal went to Giant's rest. We split up and hunted on our own. They caught a hare and a squirrel, and I got a huge crow! he said, puffing out his chest and trying to look proud. "And it was going to flee! The ugly thing even tried to peck at me, but I pinned him against the trunk of a tree! It didn't stand any chance." Of course, he left out the embarrassing detail that he was actually hit by his prey. But in the end he caught it, so everything else didn't matter. "Oh, and I also met a gopher. It was so weird! At first I was convinced I was hunting down a big rat, and then it turned and it had this huge big teeth on the face..." he said joking, but deep inside he still felt frustrated about it. If he hadn't let himself lose his focus, he would've caught it and brought back a great meal. "Unfortunately, Rainhound decided to come back when I told her of the gopher. Copperfire didn't agree with her choice, but I guess they could turn dangerous."Maybe Rainhound just didn't want me to get involved in a fight... I really need to do more training, otherwise I'll be stuck like this forever. He wondered what Darkpetal thought. He hadn't seen him since the patrol...
