Doekit was wandering the clearing. Her mother was busy, as was her siblings and dad. She was soo bored. She looked around for a warrior to talk to.. there! It was Wolffeather! The little fawn tabby bounced over excitedly. "Hello, Wolffeather! How are you today?" The kit was always polite, as that was what Mama had taught her!

The elder looked like he was trying hard to remember those time. It must have passed lots of time since then. But the more Spiderfire described, the more Milkkit's mind whirled with question. His tail brushed the ground slightly while he listened intently. "What, really? Why should a leader step down like that?" He wondered what Brightstar looked like... Or shall he call them Brightsky now? They were probably in Starclan by now. Was the past leader watching him now?
He turned her attention back again on Spiderfire before he could speak again: "Oh, and who's Wolffang? Didn't Brightstar appoint Twilightstar?" How many things had appened before even he had been born!
{Apparently, according to Nyan it happened in a different order: Brightsky somehow served under Twlightstar first then Brindlejaw, Coyotesnarl and Breezefeather. Wolffang was the 5th deputy} “Wolffang was Twlightstars deputy, now that I think about it there was a cat before him named Breezefeather.” Spiderfire spoke.

Sunkit wiggled around, she didn't have anything to do. Sunkit meowed then stopped moving before slowly curling up nest to her siblings. As she curled up, Sunkit felt warmer than when she wasn't. From her head all the way to the tips of her toes.

Milkkit tried to decipher Firekit's expression when she turned and looked at him laying on the sandy ground. He felt all dusty, and after shaking off some dirt he sneezed noisily. But when his friend returned back and caught up to him, she wasn't laughing as he'd first expected. On the contrary, she was helping him get cleaned up.
Milkkit let her tongue remove some of the dust that had clung harder on his fur, then got himself up and addressed her shyly: "Thank you... You were very fast, too. I didn't think you'd be so quick on your big orange paws." Her kind reaction had cheered him up, and now he didn't care much if he'd made a bad impression. After all they were just playing! Yes. With his heart lift again, he smiled widely and gave Firekit a gentle cuff at her ear. "You know, if I hadn't stumbled in that damn rock, I would've surely won. Next time I'll control every single paw step of our track (rocks especially) and I'll win."
Now that they had even run, Milkkit felt really tired. This reminded him of something they had forgotten before: "You know, we haven't eat that rabbit yet. Shall we go to the fresh kill pile?" At the same moment his belly rumbled hungrily.
Rolling her eyes, Firekit snorted at the young tom's comment "You know, it's awfully rude to assume I'd be slow because of my paws. I'm growing into them you know!" she protested. Though she said this with a frown on her face, a playful shine showed in her eyes. "Don't blame the rock for your own incompetence," She said waving her tail dismissively, a smile inching its way onto her maw. "If I had tripped over a rock, I would've gotten up and still found a way to win."
Firekit nodded in agreement when Milkkit brought up their food situation, but noticed that her friend was looking a bit tired. "Here, let me help you Milkkit," She said, as she offered her side to help support the tom walk. "Honestly, I don't know what I'm going to do with you. As the leader of the kits I can't have all my future warriors and underlings collapse on their paws," She teased. At this moment her stomach growled, causing her fiery pelt to heat up a bit in mild embarrassment, "Uhh... that was a message from StarClan saying that we shouldn't waste any more time and should go eat," the she-kit said, looking away "C'mon, let's go," and with that, she started to walk towards the freshkill pile.

Milkkit started to feel lost as Spiderfire continued the story. "Breezefeather..? What had happened to them and Wolffang? Didn't they become leader?" He had never imagined Windclan had had so many deputies. Now that he thought about it, he didn't even know Fallownose. He knew his name and appearance, but they had never talked. Usually, it was Twilightstar to speak up during the clan meetings.

When Firekit grumbled at Milkkit's teasing, he felt sorry and hoped not ti have hurt her feelings. With a sorry expression he apologized: "I'm sorry, that wasn't polite of me... I bet you'll be one of the fastest cats in Windclan, one day." But he hoped he would be one, too. Now he felt just too clumsy to compare himself to real warriors. "Thank you, but I'm not that tired. Let's go eat." But a question had been lingering in his mind for a while, and now that he remembered he wanted to let it out aloud. "I don't think I did ask you, but.. Would you like to be a Moor Runner or a Tunneler?" He knew that was a dumb question, but why not?
When she mentioned again her self-proclaimed title, he didn't complain but chuckled light-heartedly. He felt at easy with Firekit and her ever-present optimism, which always managed to make him laugh. Cheerful once again, as soon as they reached the prey pile he bowed dramatically and offered her the first piece of rabbit. "Well, since you actually won the race even if that was an irregular victory... I allow your Leadership to take the first bite." But as he threw a quick glance at it, the rabbit wasn't there anymore. "...Oh. Someone must have taken it already."What are we going to eat now? There are only feathery little birds and scrawny mice.
Twigkit sat in the corner lazily tossing a mossball back and forth. The cream tom watched the nursery with his dull green eyes as the other kits played with friends and littermates. In other words, the things Twigkit didn't have. [open]
