➤ Ospreypaw stumbled out of the apprentice den, rolling slightly on the ground before standing up and shaking their fur from some dirt. Their tail waved behind them as they looked around the camp to see who they could talk to. There eyes landed on a swirl tabby, he raced over there, sliding to a stop in front of them, poking them with this paw. "Hello!! How are you?" he meowed rather loudly at the cat.

Cloudspots noticed that Thunderblaze was still sitting guard at the camp’s entrance. Seeing as Cloudspots needed to keep himself away from cats as much as possible until the medicine cats made a conclusion about Wildspark, perhaps guard duty would be a good idea.

He padded over, keeping himself about a tail-length away. “Thunderblaze? I can take your spot as guard, if you wish.”

Thunderblaze flicked his tail then twitching his ear towards cloudspot he turned his head to the cat" sure i'll be back later to switch with you" he meowed as he got up and walked pass cloudspot

Cloudspots nodded. Once Thunderblaze had left, he took his spot at the camp entrance. He trained his senses on the forest beyond, but did keep one ear open for updates about Wildspark.

Thunderblaze looked back at cloudspot then smiled and went off

Nightmares really were real.

The world seemed to slow as the familiar pelt of her mate was brought into camp, blood marring their perfectly beautiful fur. "Brightpath!" Her voice was shaky, and so were her legs as she scrambled to her paws. "Brightpath!" The wounds were ghastly. What had happened?! barreling through the small crowd gathering, she sank to the ground beside her mate.

"Yes, someone's hurt! Brightpath's hurt!" She choked out frantically to Rosepaw. "G-go get your herbs.... j-just d-do SOMETHING! They.... they're in pain." Cloudyflight was begging, but her eyes stayed frozen on the face of her agonized love. No. NO.

"You're going to be fine." She hissed firmly to her love, reaching out to take their paw, body throbbing to twist herself up with them, but she didn't. Anything she did would probably hurt them. "Just... just breathe. Please. Please, just keep breathing." Her heart hammered against her ribcage. This was horrible. She was used to sobbing over corpses, but not pleading with the love of her life to cling onto every breath. This was different. This was.... this was horrible.

Thornpaw

"Do it like this," commanded Thornpaw's mentor, Thicketfur, as he swept his paw underneath the apprentice. Thornpaw hopped over it and swept his leg underneath Thicketfur and flipped the warrior over. Thornpaw sighed. He was getting too good for apprentice duties and had been wondering when he and his brother, Coolpaw, would become warriors. It had been multiple moons since they left the nursery for the last time, other than to see Rainfall's kits. He assumed that Coolpaw was as bored with Lightshine as Thornpaw was as bored with his own mentor.
"Good! I didn't see that coming. You will make a great warrior," meowed Thicketfur warmly. Suddenly, the bushes friveled and a warrior stepped in. "Thicketfur, we need to talk somewhere. Somewhere...private," he whispered ominously. "Alright, fine. Thornpaw, you practice your hunting skills." The warriors trouted away in a hurry. Weird, thought Thornpaw. It's probably just some mission or message from Sparrowstar.

Coolpaw

Coolpaw had been assigned to hunting and had been doing well. He had caught a squirrel and a crow; great catches for an apprentice; great catches for even a warrior! Coolpaw let the scents of prey and leaf-mold flow in to his nostrils. He smelled a cat. Intruders! By the time they are done, I'll be made a warrior for sure! Just as he was ready to pounce, he recognized ThunderClan scent. It was Thicketfur! He relaxed. Then he realized the opportunity to practice his stalking skills. He creeped closer. He could hear their voices now. "Are you sure he would make a good warrior?" asked one cat. "Of course he is! He will be a great asset," meowed Thicketfur's challenging voice. Coolpaw rolled his eyes. Of course they are arguing over apprentices. He leaned closer. "He will be perfect for us." Coolpaw even leaned closer, curious to what would be said next. "Yes, he will be the greatest warrior of the Dark Forest!" yowled Thicketfur. Coolpaw froze. Now way! Thicketfur is a Dark Forest cat?!
He was suddenly aware that Thicketfur had spotted him. "Hey! You aren't allowed here!" He pounced onto Coolpaw. "How much have you heard?" Coolpaw voice sounded brave, but in reality, he was more scared that a mouse chased by a cat in leaf-bare. "Everything." Thicketfur growled and unsheathed his claws. Looks like this is the end. I wonder what SarClan will about a cat murdered by his own Clanmate... He started to feel slashing at his fur and yowling. He wasn't sure if it was his or some other cat's, but he was on his way to StarClan.

Lightshine

Lightshine had lost track of Coolpaw. She had been assessing his hunting skills. She was becoming worried. She caught a whiff of Thicketfur all of a sudden and decided to ask him if he had seen Coolpaw. But as she got closer, she scented the blood. She bounded over and immediately saw a small blue and red lump of fur on the ground with Thicketfur slashing.She gasped when she realized it was Coolpaw. Filled with rage, Lightshine flung herself at Thicketfur and clawed him badly. He screeched and ran away with his followers. She grabbed Coolpaw's scruff and sprinted into camp. "Help! Help! Coolpaw is dying! Get Sundust or Rosepaw! Help!" She ran to the medicine cats' den and went inside with Coolpaw still hanging from her jaws.
