At the call of her name, Bluebellcrackle paused in the middle of nibbling at an itchy spot along her back and lifted her head. Fawnpaw, herb patrol. Thank StarClan. Any excuse to get off her paws, she'd take.

She stood, shook out her pelt, and padded over to Fawnpaw, offering the young medicine cat a small, rare smile. "Sure thing, kid. While I wait for Specklepaw to show, could you describe that to me so I know what to look for?" A low laugh, short but kind. "I've never had to spend a lot of my time in the medicine den - not too sure what that would look like."

~ Specklepaw had been laying in a shaded part of the camp lifting their head up when he saw Fawnpaw exit the medicine cat den and take a seat. The apprentice tilted his head before they heard her announcement about collecting herbs. Ah! With leaf-fall rearing it's head in with leaf-bare not far behind this would be a good time to try and get as many herbs. The apprentice sat and waited to see if their name would be called for a patrol, and it was. The mainly black furred apprentice stood up and stretched before starting to make their way to Fawnpaw and Bluebellcrackle.

"I'm here for the herb patrol!" ~

Nightpaw

Nightpaw was thinking to herself as she gets interrupted from her thoughts "huh?" she said confused as she recognized it was fawnpaw. Nightpaw walked to the medicine cat and stood there and listened, cobweb and dandelions... okay. "I-I will try my best fawnpaw" she said a bit nervous.. now wheres Mapledawn and Cricketsting..

Mapledawn looked up from their resting position when they heard Fawnpaw, she purred softly and nodded, "Of course Fawnpaw." He made his way over toward Nightpaw, gently poking her shoulder with their tail, "Hello Nightpaw!" They said with a small smile before they started to look for Cricketsong.

“Hm?” Cricketsting turned his head slightly as he had been called on by Fawnpaw. “Oh, we’ll be back with them, alright, and I ain’t lion about that!” He giggled as he padded to his patrolmates, Mapledawn and Nightpaw. To Mapledawn, Cricketsting wisecracked -then chuckled afterwards-, “It would be fine and dande if you lead the way.”

Nightpaw

Nightpaw didnt realized that mapledawn was behind her, so when they poked nightpaw's shoulder, nightpaw was startled then turned to mapledawn then sighed in relief. "h-hi mapledawn" she said a bit worried as her ear flicked and turned to Cricketsting. "h-hi cricketsting" she said. she listened to cricketsting then it hit... the joke hit her. oh no... Itz a joke. "yea.... uh mapledawn, c-can you please lead us to the magic herbs" she said nervously

Fawnpaw
The young medicine cat was all smiles as all of the cats she had called forward stepped up and seemed ready to go. It made a lot of her anxiety die down. She gave a touch of her nose to her dad's shoulder in return, grinning up at him as he left to go find Stormpaw. She wanted to hear about how they got along after.

Hearing Bluebellcrackle ask about marigold, Fawnpaw felt her eyes widen a bit as she turned to look at the older she-cat. "Oh, I apologize. Yes! Marigold are stemmed flowers with tiny orange and white flower heads that appear to have lots of little, thin petals." She wasn't sure how else to describe them. "I can usually find them near water!" She gave another smile, hoping that would be a good enough descriptor.

What was it with Fawnpaw and always apologizing for things? Especially the small stuff like this. Bluebellcrackle hoped the younger cat knew she wasn't going to reach over and bite her head off at the tiniest little slipup. She shrugged a shoulder nonchalantly. "Nothing to apologize for. Thanks, Fawnpaw."

Oh, there was Specklepaw. Bluebellcrackle's expression grew from kind to indifferent as she glanced over to the other apprentice. "You ready to head out? I figure we can walk over to Cattail Pond to look." And maybe she'd pick something else up for Fawnpaw, too, something more personal than herbs.

~ Specklepaw listened to what the medicine cat said about Marigolds, Keep that in mind for future reference maybe. The apprentice then looked over at Bluebellcrackle and gave the she-cat a small nod. This Patrol and a few more lessons with Pondwhisker and they'd be well on his way to becoming a warrior for the clan. Specklepaw didn't know if this would be another silent Patrol like with Wormbite and Vinewatcher or If Bluebellcrackle would want to talk. Well, only time will tell.

as stormpaw found him, the siamese smiled and let out a rumbling purr. "perfect! we can head towards the river, i think i've seen a few plants that match fawnpaw's description? unless you have somewhere else you want to go," beansprout cocked his head to the side ever so slightly in a questioning manner. if the apprentice didn't have anywhere else in mind, he was ready to start heading toward the winding river.
