Bumbleflight walked into the nursery, a plump pigeon in his jaws. He had gone on one of his walks and, while out, he'd found and subsequently caught said pigeon in his jaws and, now, returning to camp, the dark brown tabby figured it would be a good idea to bring it to the queens and their kits. It was the least he could do, after all, for their hard work with the kits and raising them, and to replenish the seemingly endless energy said kits seemed to have.
Careful not too wake any sleeping queens or kits up, the young warrior maneuvered his way through the nursery, tattered ear swiveling to listen despite said ear being partially deaf. In as quiet voice as he could muster, Bumbleflight spoke.
"Um... Hey, I brought a pigeon from my walk today, and figured you lit might enjoy it. Er, if not, that's fine, I can bring it to the elders' den..." his voice trailed off into a sort of whisper as he continued, awkwardly shuffling his paws underneath him. Wow, great job.
Well... it seemed she was missing more cats than she expected. Green eyes flicked over each congregated member of her clan as they took their place near the base of the Thunderwillow before she bothered to start. This was starting to worry her... If cats kept disappearing and dying, she wasn't entirely sure if they'd be able to make it through leafbare unscathed.
Taking a deep breath to center herself, she decided to start with a few of the simpler matters of the day before getting into her worries.
"I have several things to cover today," she stated, voice clear as she spoke over the clearing. "But first, we will start off with a few cats who are moving onto a new phase in their life. Rainflower and Mapleleaf have informed me that they are expecting kits, and as such they will be relinquishing their warrior duties and moving to the nursery as our newest queens."
She gave the aforementioned she-cats a nod of acknowledgement before continuing. She wouldn't bring up the fact that having kits right as leafbare started was a risky ordeal. Any cat with sense would know that and hopefully have enough decorum not to make a scene about it.
"Additionally, I would like Shadefur to step forward."
Stars above, she spent the last night racking her brain for the proper ceremonial words for this. It had been far too long since Thunderclan had had the opportunity to preformed this right.
"Shadefur," she started, green eyes softening as she looked down on the cat below her. "Is it your wish to give up the name of a warrior and go to join the elders?"
Bumbleflight looked up, the sleepiness slowly leaving his gaze and body. Was there... An elder ceremony being held? This was the first time Bumbleflight had ever attended one. Huh. Well, while he didn't know Shadefur at all, he hoped the warrior would have a good rest in the elders' den for the rest of their life.

Nightshade's ears perked with interest. She'd never been present for an elder ceremony before. She purred, happy that another cat has lived long enough to have the privilege of becoming an elder.
There was no use thinking about the risky pregnancy. Rainflower knew of the risks. It wasn't Nightshade's place to question or judge. She just hoped for the best for the young cat.
The time has come for her to become a queen. While it was a little embarrassing to admit to a cat that she was, in fact, expecting kits, she had no choice but to become a queen, which meant she had to speak with Sparrowstar about the rank change. Plenty of queens had done this with their leaders before, so it had to be a regular thing, right? With heavy pawsteps, the expecting warrior sighed and then walked into the den to see Sparrowstar.
"Sorry for the intrusion, Sparrowstar," she dipped her head apologetically then looked up to continue speaking, "I'm in a bit of a rush this morning, but I thought I should come to you first. You see, Sundust and I spoke earlier, and he said that I was expecting kits. Well, that means I can't be a warrior... as much as I hate to do this to ThunderClan when we all need as many paws out in the forest hunting as possible with the weather getting colder by the day, it's time I request that I become a queen. Once I give birth to them, I will be letting another queen care for them so I can help the Clan as much as possible. Rainfall and I have already spoken about it, and she agreed to raise the kits along with her own."
There, it was done. She had spoken about what was lingering in her thoughts. I really do feel bad, but I'll be returning to my duties as soon as possible! she silently promised the whole of ThunderClan as she waited for the tan she-cat leader to reply.
